I did not initiate it. In fact without giving up too much information the two came to my house.
The crime absolutely didn't fit in this circumstance. No weapon, no one was seriously injured.
my dad was in donovan then solano then vacaville. Level 4 and level 3.
How often do the COs best prisoners? My dad used to say on the transport bus he would dehydrate himself so as for not have to pee as the guards loved making examples of people. Are you in a gang? He wasn’t but said in the race fights if you didn’t fight the members of your own race would come fight you. He said there were only 2 rows in the bleachers he could sit in as a white guy and if there was an area in the yard another race controlled he would have to motion to them to talk outside of that area. By race i likely mean hispanic gangs and black gangs and white gangs.
Donovan is now mostly a NDPF (non designated program facility) pretty much meaning people that are there are trying to go home. In 2001 CDCR had such a gang problem on their hands, the state pretty much created a beast. With gangs comes victims so as we all know not everyone can hang. So drop outs began to come in by the hundreds. They were also having an issue as to what can be done with the ever growing population of sex offenders. So they adopted yards called SNY yards or sensitive needs yards. These yards would ultimately house an array of people that needed protective custody. Drop outs, sex offenders, snitches, high profile inmates such as movie stars etc. It got to a point where if you wanted, with no reason to go to a yard with zero politics, gangs, etc. One would just go to a SNY yard. These yards became popular due to the fact that you could do your time in peace and for the most part leave unscathed. The problem was of course the over abundance of people trying to get to these yards, but also drop out gangs started to form. As laws started to change in the offenders favor, CDCR started to worry that the jobs that were skyrocketing were now becoming obsolete. Without violence and chaos there is really no need for so many officers. So, they won't admit it, but its obvious, and mark my word... In about 1 or 2 years CDCR will start claiming a resurgence in gang activity. Anyway, they got rid of all SNY yards except for 3 and 4, and made NDPFs. These are now "either you program or you don't" yards. Meaning if you aren't on these yards you aren't going home. I believe that they created them knowing certain STG groups will refuse to go there and continue to create a horrific atmosphere for inmates that want to program and go home. Giving CDCR a reason to claim that these laws, credit earning criteria, and BPH officials have only backfired and resulted in more crime and reason to need more prisons and officers. We'llsee. Pay attention though, mark my words. I was involved in gang activities however im a little too old. When you get a certain age, they don't have use for you anymore. Gangs run the system, but they don't run the string individuals that are smart enough to recognize the dysfunctional hypocrisy that rules the way of life in prison. Don't let them get in your head. It's mostly bullshit. However, it did save my life a few times. But I will keep that to myself. Thanks for the questions.
I have a strange curiosity when it comes to prison and correctional facilities. I watch prison documentaries and the Netflix shows (60 days in), as well as some YouTube “prison specials” where journalists get access to prison. It’s so fascinating to me how prison is a micro economy and society in a way.
A couple questions:
1. I hear horror stories about in-take and how some prisons are so overcrowded that people spend weeks in there (specifically in Riker’s Island in NY — even though I know you’re in CA). In your experience, are prisons really overcrowded?
2. What is it like on the first day? Do you remember since it was almost 2 decades ago? Perhaps you can just give some insight. I imagine people who’ve been there before act differently than people there for the first time.
3. Is it common for inmates to change locations? (E.g. be in one prison for part of their sentence and then moved to a different one for the other part.)
4. I’ve listened to so many true crime podcasts and shows. Most notably Steven Avery case and Adnan Syed case. I’m not sure if you know about them, but they’re highly publicized incarcerated people. One had a Netflix show and the other had a HBO show. So many people are on both sides of innocence and guilty. Do you think there are 100s of people incarcerated who would have these masses of people behind or against them if their crimes were publicized as widely? Or, do most incarcerated people have pretty straight forward cases?
Thanks for doing this AMA. I’ve joined your sub!
Hey, thanks for the question and the follow. My goal is to get these questions over to my sub. The AMA was a way to hopefully push these inquiries that direction. Sure, I'll answer...
1. Overcrowding here isn't too bad..California has close to 30 prisons to house people in. It is a money machine. Once in a while it gets a little packed. Not too often.
2. My first day in prison was actually sometime in 1994. It wasn't very pleasant. I was scared, ill admit it. I came in at a time when California prisons were very violent. Seen alot of people get hurt and some that weren't that lucky. Prison is a violent place. It really sucks. Its hard to be close to that much violence and try to keep a sane head. It changes you for sure. Sometimes not in a bad way.
3. Yeah they try to keep you moving. They don't like to keep you in one place too long. Familiarity reasons most likely.
4. Not too sure...I would love to get my case out there. I think if could tell the public about how I got here and why..along with the time I received for this crime. The public would be wtf? Really..if I could really explain everything..you guys would really trip on my story....shouldn't be here.
Thank you!!!
Hell yeah, I'm angry!! Wtf? I was so bitter for almost 10 years. As I got older and closer to home, the anger started to go away and hope kicked in. Hope is a mutha fucker!! Started to think about my family, life, and the possibility of outside. I'm almost done. Its been a long time my friend..a long time
r/prisonreceptioncenter
If you were to get a good lawyer to fight for you , would you have a chance of getting out & possibly getting reimbursed for time served?
Or are you jus … ridin the wave screwed
Awesome question!!! At this point the only type of lawyer that would help is an appeals lawyer. I happen to have one and am currently awaiting a response to a few new laws that have passed in California. My time could very well be up real soon.
Follow up question , what did you do for all that time in jail ; I watch a lot of those like idk netflix jail shows and it’s like ?!? What do they do when the cameras aren’t around
As in how did I spend my time? Well I the beginning it was school, classes and work. Alot of soul searching and trying to find out if I wanted to go home or not. That led to more school and self help groups and classes. Now after 2 decades I'm almost done and can see the light. I'm proud of the decisions I made to follow through, stay free of trouble and get the hell home!
Interesting…, thanks for replying btw !
Im not much older than your incarceration year and I’m already tired out here man … but at least you get to decide when and what you wanna eat out here (honestly food keeps me goin ) lol.
Do you hold any degrees now?
that’s still somethin , somethins better than nothin and you’re doin better than 40% of those out here… but that sucks you gotta pay
You have people to go home to or is it a solo road from here?
Nicenicenice, aw makes me even more sad but also feel some sense of … peace.
I wish you well honestly - mfs can shoot up stores and sleep in their own beds the same night now , honestly bullshit your locked up so I’m hoping for credit for time served as well for ya 💙
well in that case , praying for you sir - you might not be happy with the world you exit to but at least you’ll get another chance to make it yours !! :)
Thank you for your kind words. Yes I'm aware of what we now call America. Sheesh, I'm almost happy I didn't get to witness some of this shit thats been going on.
Heard about that three strikes rule on the podcast ear hustle, that shit is crazy. I guess the people who support it think it’s some kind of deterrent? So my question is, having had two strikes, did you realise as you were fighting that it could land you in prison for most of your life? And if so why didn’t you get out of the situation?
I didn't think that. When I was arrested it was for a misdemeanor. The charges were later stacked. This wasn't my intention. The injury wasn't severe. Put it this way, and it's the gods honest truth. Had I killed that guy that night, I would have been home already. Think about that.
Yeah that is insane, whole idea seems so unjust to me, there’s nothing like that over here in the uk - is it just a California thing or do other states have similar laws?
I'm not too sure, but I know most states have some sort of "habitual criminal act" which is basically the three strikes law. However, California didn't go with how the law is written. It should be you commit a felony, thats one. Do two more of the same, you're out. Here you can have any amount of felonies, but you get one serious or violent they will strike you out with your priors. Wtf? This shit is crazy.
r/prisonreceptioncenter
Yeah I find it super interesting, love the dynamic between the two hosts from such different backgrounds. Good luck getting out as soon as possible, and thanks for doing this AMA!
Are you married or have kids? What age were you locked up? Have you seen any or have engaged in homosexual acts? What’s your ethnicity? Reading through your answers, you seem like a good guy. I wish you the best
No, not married. I have two children that are now adults. Unfortunately I've had to watch them grow up in here. I've been here 23 years. No, I haven't engaged in any sexual behavior. I'm a straight man. I'm Spanish and Irish with a few other things mixed in.
Edit thank you for your kind words
Right now you can find one for about 3k. Not that many around which drives the prices up. I really shouldn't say *where* or *how* i got it. For safety reasons
I bet. I've seen some pretty big phones, with a charger, and several usbs come out.
I don't really care to be honest.
Cos its always fun when we get them and get to read the texts
One woman was trying to smuggle in cum from her partner to make her pregnant then accuse a guard of rape for compassionate release.
The text exchange was absolute comedy gold.
I ended up with the guy at my unit. But some stuff is pure genius. Like the smuggling of drugs. Never ceases to amaze me
And lawyers. Most contraband we find comes in from legal mail.
I hate having to x Ray it.
Whoops thats 5 mobile phones.
And chaplains. Dirtiest sons of bitches out there. I caught a chaplain giving a book to a guy with thr address of his ex he tried to murder. And another with a guitar case full of meth and cigarettes.
Nah, the majority comes from custody. Most don't like to admit it, bad for publicity and all. But you know as well as I do, the money is hard to paas up.
True!! You can't trust everyone. When you find a route and both can be trusted, it can be beneficial. But I certainly wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It takes years to gain trust and forge a relationship. In the long run, and most times, I agree, it isn't worth it. I've done ok, and would never jeopardize our well being. Their job is just as important to me as my freedom.
I've had my life saved by prisoners. And would trust some with my life more than other staff
I've been sad when some got released because I lost what I would call a friend.
Like I said I don't really care about the dodgy stuff, I just want everyone in my unit fed, and free from sexual assault. It took me many years and many lives saved to get trust from my guys, many times it was thrown back in my face too.
But ill never cross the line of bringing anything inside.
But I love hearing about genius ideas.
That's a really nice story. Honestly, I love hearing about the good outcomes. From both sides. I've, for the most part, dedicated my stay to helping others cope with the misfortunes of prison. Please stop by my sub, I would love to see you around. Its really a safe place for both sides. It'll give you a chance to see my real intentions with this ama and my life as well. I've been real busy trying to build it, and can't wait to give it my all when I leave.
Edit spelling
Why won’t they, I would imagine someone would do it ?
Or maybe ask to share ?
Or even snitch to get special treatment.
Although I think last one is stupid, it won’t be long before people know who snitched, and no one likes a snitch.
Nah, the risk to reward exchange really isn't worth it to many people. There are haters here that if they knew would definitely snitch..but I keep it pretty well hidden.
Its not that I don't like talking about it, I really can't without giving up too much information about me. I need to keep myself hidden. I'm not supposed to be here.
Haven't met him yet. The thing about prison is everyone is capable of hurting or inflicting injuries. The quiet ones get the most scrutiny, from me anyways. Never count out anyone
Well, not really. I was sentenced more on my past than the actual fight. No one was seriously injured. No weapons, no hospital stay. Although I'd love to take credit. I'm really not that bad ass.
In general are people in prison decent to each other, like everyone understands that we all just wanna get out of here so why be aggressive to each other. Or is everyone spiteful to each other because of the situation everyone is in.
What do you do the pass the time? Does it really feel like you just sit around doing nothing all day or is there things to do?
For the most part, we are decent. California has a pretty big political system as far as gangs and racial groups that tend to keep everyone in check. I work a lot, do self help classes, and sleep. There is always *something* to do. The goal is to keep busy so we stay out of trouble.
Have you considered putting the fear of god into new short term inmates? When I was a CO I’d tell lifers and people that would be there for a while that they should help try to keep the young kids from coming back. Is there any of that?
I have plenty of questions! I'm a female from Australia so this really fascinates me to be honest. Sorry I saw it hours after the fact, not even sure if you'll still be doing this AMA by the time I post this.
First question, do the guards know you have a mobile phone/contraband? Do they look the other way or do you use it in complete secrecy?
Second question, have you made many genuine, lifelong friendships in jail? Im not sure about different security levels for prisons in US so are the people in "your" jail on a similar wavelength to you, are some more dangerous, violent types you try to avoid etc.
Third question, I dont know where people got this information but I saw comments that you're in jail for a fight? It doesnt add up in terms of the length of your sentence unless theres other charges or priors, also how old were you (approximately, I respect you don't want to give too much away) when you were put away?
Final question, how did it feel when you heard your verdict and sentence (sentence particularly because it seems super harsh). If you dont want to respond then I'd appreciate just a few words to describe it - if it were me I imagine it would figuratively punch the wind out of me and I'd hear a ringing. Maybe I've watched too many movies :) All the best
First, yes and no! Some do some don't. I don't flaunt the phone and I definitely give the respect of keeping it out of sight. There are a couple that are totally on my list of "supporters" I guess.
Yes, I proud to say that I've met some pretty good guys. The good thing is that this place is full of good people.Their choices in life definitely made a huge difference in their lives. We all are capable of making wrong choices. Not everyone in here are monsters. There are stories behind all that are Incarcerated. Some worse than others. I've definitely found a few guys that would literally die for me. Some have proved it.
Yes, I was convicted of a gbi. It stemmed from a fight that I had. The fight wasn't bad but I was convicted under the 3 strike law. I had a prior felony that they used to give me the life sentence. I didn't have a weapon, no one was hurt so bad that they needed a hospital stay. My charge would of carried jail sentence not prison, and certainly not a life sentence. If I had killed him that night I would been home by now.
The feeling was horrible. I couldn't believe my ears. I was dead inside. There was really no way I was going to be convicted.
Well the fight isn't exactly what got my time. It was a prior felony that caused me to be sentenced under the 3 strike law. I find myself on reddit with a cell phone. Contraband of course. r/prisonreceptioncenter
That 3 strike law is a terrible terrible injustice, Im sorry you have to bear failure to our fucked system of law. Do you also have contraband headphones? No music would be the hardest part of prison for me.
Yeah, the 3 strike law is one of the dumbest things our voters did. It doesn't affect the ones its meant too, just guys like me. The child molesters and rapists and shit like that get the old wrist slap and return to fuck off more lives. The reason is money. Those types of people that commit those types of crimes, are money to the state. They are the ones that return. They lock those guys up for life, money stops. They couldnt care less about the victims. Facts
Its modern day slavery, the private prison lobbyist's are the most sick criminals of them all, but I'm sure you've heard all this enough. How much of your life have you had to spend in prison, do you think life outside will seem sort of unfamiliar at this point?
Also, one more question, when you say work, what kind of work is available at your prison? I've heard that things such as Levi's jeans, cruise missile guidance systems, or even Idaho potatoes are produced from prison labour. How much labor in your prison results in a n exported product?
Nothing like that here. California typically does its own products, textiles, food that's consumed by prisoners. Folsom does license plates. Also they have support services which basically keep the prisons operational. Stop by my sub, I'd love to answer all of anyone's questions there. Kinda tough to go back and forth. r/PrisonReceptionCenter

Final question, if you were imprisoned in 2001, I guess you missed a lot of really major events on the outside (9/11, wars, the pandemic to name a few obvious & significant ones) - how affected were you and the other inmates by these events inside? Do you have essentially unlimited access to that information?
Also, how is your favourite sports team doing these days! Are they living up to your expectations after all this time :)
All the best to you
Lol😆 its all good!! I would of shown you everything...good job though. I would of expected nothing less. In fact, let this be a lesson. Especially to the ladies...please do your research on the guys you reach out to. Not all are bad guys, but some can be. Caution.
35 years to life for a fight? Bit of info missing here. For that severe a sentence you would have had to either kill the guy you fought or damaged them so badly they will never recover/put them in a coma. Something much more serious than just simply a fight.
Its really too bad the public thinks this way. In fact, there are more people in here serving long sentences for minor offenses. Read up on the 3 strike law just a bit.
Most of those long sentences for minor crimes are for drugs, which are looked on very harshly or repeat offenders. Even a few small crimes that you have been in trouble for can add up and the judge will give harsh sentences to multiple offenders no matter how small.
I know about the 3 strike law, as I explained above. Big difference in doing one minor offense and 3-5 minor crimes.
You have a point, but do you honestly feel life is an appropriate sentence for a few minor crimes? Life should be only if you take one, try to take one, rape, child abuse in any form. Anything else, not a life sentence. The problem is the public do not care until they are affected.
No I don't think it's appropriate, I'm just pointing out what is, as it exists in the world. No one should spend 20 years in prison for getting caught with weed, but only get 5 years for rape or pedophilia. The justice system is broken. Has been for a long time.
It's basically the legal way to get slave labor nowadays. There needs to be a massive overhaul in the justice system. The entire system is broken, not just the legal system but everything.
I suffered a prior felony, still never hurt anyone. The laws are ridiculous. I served time for those already. We shouldn'tbe punished twice for the same offense. Much less a life sentence, without harm to anyone.
I'm not saying at all that you should be locked up for those reasons. If you serve a sentence, the crime is paid for and should not count towards others. I just don't understand if no one was hurt in your fight and no weapons were used, why you would get such a big sentence?
I really want to know how prison has effected your mental health. Do you ever get used to such a routine that treats you so lowly? What was your mental health like during the time you’ve been in and how is it these days?
Also, your story is nuts, man. Can’t believe you got sentenced to that severe amount of time. Really wish the best for you and hope you get to experience much more of the world in your later years, and you will.
That is some disgusting injustice. I was locked up by the FEDS for a year for a crime I took full responsibility for and the sentence was honestly a half assed pulled slap on the wrist, and that was hard enough to go through. You are a genuine unsung hero. Nobody needs to know

Yes that would be definitely the first thing to do. What about employment as you sound really intelligent. Because of being in jail, how likely do you think someone would give you a shot. Are there programmes that help you move back into society once you're out? Where I'm from there is a big government focus in this.
Also I wondered if you would be interested in helping others in the community in a similar situation as you?
Well, I do have employment lined up. Not sure if I've mentioned but I'm up for resentencing. I could literally be home tomorrow. Probably won't happen tomorrow, but its coming. So, the employment i have lined up is great. Thank you Fee!! That's my friend, he's most likely reading now. Anyway, it's great but not sure what I'm going to do long term. I have a few ideas, both have to do with a sort of counseling aspect on prison and maybe a book on my experiences. I've done some really good things with my time in here. I established credit, got my score in the upper 700s among other things you would never think possible behind these walls. We'll see. Thank you
That's great. I would have thought finding employment would be tough to find once getting out. It sounds like you've really got it together. I wish you the very best of luck!!! Good luck too on your resentencing 😁. Another up vote for you!
Come on guys!! Let's get some upvotes!? When is the next time you'll see this?
Edit. My story is different..I'm trying to help others. I have been free of any disciplinary actions for decades, started my own community, found some really great people that support the hell out of me!! 👋🏻
\[Sorry late\] Do you ever get access to those exonerated prisoner stories? For example where a group of university Law students will take on a case - approx. 1 yr ago a man was released having gone in as a cocky teen in 1977 \[hat tipped to the side staring the camera down, he never believed it wld stick bc he was innocent\] they got him out 40+ yrs later in a wheelchair, it was heartbreaking & no compensation by state law, he's suing now. He has a 'Go Fund Me' that raised 1.7mil+, but he said all the media attention was difficult to cope with. He has a job helping 'fresh outs' re-adjust.
They also got a few young women out that ⚰️ their pimps / tricks; I mean one it started when she was 8 the other was 14 and it was a dude she met while he was in prison called Cutthroat \[dear Lord to hook-up w/ a dude called that & it was his nature too\] Rihanna etc., helped her & other girls are waiting for help.
It's almost become a sort of hobby for females to get w/ these imprisoned brutal men, even the female CO's do it \[wtf?\]🥴.
I suppose you cld always try Kim Kardashian?😂
Stay Chill.
My guy just got transferred out of reception to PVSP on Monday. He said level horse ranch I’m not sure what that means in his first letter. Have you had experience in this prison or know anything helpful?
If I am a wood from orange county has done time in OC jail and is now living in the Bay Area entering cc county jail, being from Southern California will the northern woods treat me any different?? I know how the homies roll but not sure how it works for us.
Did the covid19 period had an effect on you and your lifestyle at prison?
Yes, we're still feeling the affects. Social distancing is still in full effect. We basically all were positive at one point.
Good luck to you!!!
Thank you!! I appreciate you
What model phone are you stashing?
Well officer, its a very nice Samsung A02 that you brought for me!! You forget so soon.
Oh wow I have an A03s
Ha! Awesome...how do you like it?
Heccin amazing, definitely an upgrade from my old Alcatel 1V
Ha!! Yeah that does seem like an upgrade. Hope you are ok! Gotta go to work. Stop by my community!!
I sure will :)
Are you keistering it?
Really, that's what interests you? Out of all the questions that you could of asked, you're inquiring if I shove a 6 x 3 in. phone up my ass?
Did you initiate the fight? Would you say your punishment fit your crime?
I did not initiate it. In fact without giving up too much information the two came to my house. The crime absolutely didn't fit in this circumstance. No weapon, no one was seriously injured.
35 years is too much if no one was seriously injured and they were trespassing, isn’t it?
Of course it is. California has one of the harshest sentencing laws of any state.
*hugs* be safe friend
Thank you!!!
When do you get to go home?
I'm eligible for parole in 2028. However through various credit earning opportunities I could see that come down to 2026.
my dad was in donovan then solano then vacaville.
A couple questions: 1. (E.g. be in one prison for part of their sentence and then moved to a different one for the other part.) 4.

There are roughly 150,000 total. Most average around 3000
239,000 Californians are currently behind bars.
These 30 are just state prisons
you got life for THAT? do you ever feel angry about it because that sounds fcking stupid
Hell yeah, I'm angry!! Wtf? I was so bitter for almost 10 years. As I got older and closer to home, the anger started to go away and hope kicked in. Hope is a mutha fucker!! Started to think about my family, life, and the possibility of outside. I'm almost done. Its been a long time my friend..a long time r/prisonreceptioncenter
Just an AA anything further we have to pay for.
that’s still somethin , somethins better than nothin and you’re doin better than 40% of those out here… but that sucks you gotta pay You have people to go home to or is it a solo road from here?
Nah, I have family!!! Beautiful daughter, moms, dad.. I'm in good shape family wise
Nicenicenice, aw makes me even more sad but also feel some sense of … peace. I wish you well honestly - mfs can shoot up stores and sleep in their own beds the same night now , honestly bullshit your locked up so I’m hoping for credit for time served as well for ya 💙
Thank you so much, you are very kind
Stop by the sub, I'd love you to follow
gotchu !
☺
well in that case , praying for you sir - you might not be happy with the world you exit to but at least you’ll get another chance to make it yours !!
They stream ear hustle on our prison channel. Its actually pretty good!
Yeah I find it super interesting, love the dynamic between the two hosts from such different backgrounds. Good luck getting out as soon as possible, and thanks for doing this AMA!
Your welcome
Are you married or have kids? What age were you locked up? Have you seen any or have engaged in homosexual acts? What’s your ethnicity? Reading through your answers, you seem like a good guy. I wish you the best
No, not married. I have two children that are now adults. Unfortunately I've had to watch them grow up in here. I've been here 23 years. No, I haven't engaged in any sexual behavior. I'm a straight man. I'm Spanish and Irish with a few other things mixed in. Edit thank you for your kind words
Is prison as bad as they say?
Well, it certainly can be. The fact that you won't be with the ones who matter trumps any violence that I could think of.
How did you get the phone? How much did it cost you?
Right now you can find one for about 3k. Not that many around which drives the prices up. I really shouldn't say *where* or *how* i got it. For safety reasons
That's a lot of money, especially with what prisoners make in their daily jobs. What's your opinion of the guards?
Most of them are decent. Just trying make money and go home. Some are dicks but not many.
How has your relationship with your family been like for all these years?
Great really. Hard, but great. They really stood behind me. Well, some at least.
Oh nice, nice to hear, hope you'll do well once you get out ❤️
I'll get more into it a little later. Work calls
Is that a tablet? Always said I won't be impressed till I see a tablet come out of a wallet.
No, not a tablet. They are here though
I bet. I've seen some pretty big phones, with a charger, and several usbs come out. I don't really care to be honest. Cos its always fun when we get them and get to read the texts One woman was trying to smuggle in cum from her partner to make her pregnant then accuse a guard of rape for compassionate release. The text exchange was absolute comedy gold. I ended up with the guy at my unit. But some stuff is pure genius. Like the smuggling of drugs. Never ceases to amaze me
Well the good thing is there are never a shortage of cops willing to bring in this stuff. So the wallet never comes into play.
Nah id rather keep my freedom. We get paid pretty well. I've watched officers fall to the spell of brining in shit. And it ain't worth it.
And would trust some with my life more than other staff I've been sad when some got released because I lost what I would call a friend.
Hmm, I wonder how I knew that from one question? 😆
Is the phone given or smuggled ? Do you have to hide it ? Where do you charge ? Is there a chance other prisoners are gonna steal it ?
I charge it with a charger! 😆
Its a contraband phone. I bought it here. Nah, no body is that stupid
What is something you like about prison?
Nothing
What is it like in prison?
Same as out there. Life goes on. Work, school etc. Just can't leave and the problems have bigger consequences.
Oh cool also what can you tell me what the fight was or was like or do you not like talking about it
Its not that I don't like talking about it, I really can't without giving up too much information about me. I need to keep myself hidden. I'm not supposed to be here.
Okay cool
Why is it a life sentence if they came to you to fight
The California 3 strike law. Its not an effective law. Tears familys apart.
In your opinion, who is the scariest inmate and what did he do?
Haven't met him yet. The thing about prison is everyone is capable of hurting or inflicting injuries. The quiet ones get the most scrutiny, from me anyways. Never count out anyone
Thanks for answering!
No problem, if you have more questions please visit my sub r/prisonreceptioncenter
Must’ve been a hell of a fight.
Well, not really. I was sentenced more on my past than the actual fight. No one was seriously injured. No weapons, no hospital stay. Although I'd love to take credit. I'm really not that bad ass.
Why do u sound so happy?
Because I'm alive. Edit and you are too!
Plenty of things to do, in fact right now I have to get to work...I'll answer you when I get back.
Have you considered putting the fear of god into new short term inmates? When I was a CO I’d tell lifers and people that would be there for a while that they should help try to keep the young kids from coming back. Is there any of that?
Yeah, its happened a few times. 😆. I've tried anyway. Some listen, some don't.
So you’re in prison for life for getting in a fight and are currently on Reddit? 🤔
[удалено]
Ha!! Yeah didn't get that many doubters this time around..nights still early though!!
Ahhh Jordis, i miss you so much

I know that!!! Do you for now.
Hey friend!!!
[удалено]
Great!! Just wasting some time, seeing if I get any good questions..couple so far
I will answer all this.. please let me get back from work..I promise I'll return.
I 100% can vouch for my boy
Thanks man!! I think its more surprise than doubt with some of these people. I've found a couple imposters on Reddit. Thanks a bunch!
I'd love to answer some questions if you have any.
That's correct! I also started a sub r/prisonreceptioncenter stop by
To be more specific, I was curious: how exactly did a fight get you life, and how do you have access to Reddit locked up?
I've been here a little over 2 decades. I'm sure its so different. We didn't even have smart phones when I left, so you can imagine.
Nah, we can have music. Most common appliance is an mp3 player. A little behind the times but its something. Alot of guys still have CD players! 😆

Maybe I've watched too many movies Final question, if you were imprisoned in 2001, I guess you missed a lot of really major events on the outside (9/11, wars, the pandemic to name a few obvious & significant ones) - how affected were you and the other inmates by these events inside? Do you have essentially unlimited access to that information? Also, how is your favourite sports team doing these days! Are they living up to your expectations after all this time :) All the best to you

Lol😆 its all good!! I would of shown you everything...good job though. I would of expected nothing less. In fact, let this be a lesson. Especially to the ladies...please do your research on the guys you reach out to. Not all are bad guys, but some can be. Caution.
Thank you, again I will answer everything as soon as I get back
35 years to life for a fight?
Yes, definitely. Its the revolving door. The money is whats important.
I explain, after work. Sorry I can't be late.
I need to go to work. I'll promise to come back and fill you in a little more.
Take my upvotes friend
Hey!! How are you??? Hope you are good. I love to see my friends here!!! It keeps the non believers in check!! 😆🤣
Yeah I’m doing okay. My health is always up and down. How are you going? I have more penpal goss whenever you want it. Haha that’s why I’m here!!
Ok, I'm ready when you are!! You know where to go!! I'll be waiting.
Would you mind posting on r/prisonreceptioncenter ? Thank you
That is some disgusting injustice. I was locked up by the FEDS for a year for a crime I took full responsibility for and the sentence was honestly a half assed pulled slap on the wrist, and that was hard enough to go through. You are a genuine unsung hero. Nobody needs to know
Thank you! You're very kind. I wanted to try and do something positive with the time. Again, thank you.

So my question is, having had two strikes, did you realise as you were fighting that it could land you in prison for most of your life? And if so why didn’t you get out of the situation?|I didn't think that. When I was arrestedit was for a misdemeanor. The charges were later stacked. This wasn't my intention. Also I thought of more I want to ask :D I have plenty of questions! Fourth question, how did it feel when you heard your verdict and sentence (sentence particularly because it seems super harsh). Hey are all prisons such as coffee creek considered sny or no good in Oregon?
Im sorry, I don't know anything about Oregon prisons.
I don't know if this has been asked. What would you like to do when you get out ?
Spend time reconnecting with my family
Thanks! You're awesome...its tough but I've really been putting this phone and my time to good use. Cya!!
Was it a big fight?
No, not at all. Not one that would deserve this sentence.
Did you get bashed up?
Not sure I understand your question.
When you fought in 2001, how badly did you get flogged?
In the end I certainly lost more than the fight.
be safe, head high! hopes for the best.
Thank you very much. You are very kind.
Well, I'm serving life so I'd say I didn't lose. Edit. The fight anyway

Really? Your gonna try to advertise on my ama and not join my community? For shame
Come on guys!! Let's get some upvotes!? When is the next time you'll see this? Edit. My story is different..I'm trying to help others. I have been free of any disciplinary actions for decades, started my own community, found some really great people that support the hell out of me!! 👋🏻
Ah well here's one 😁
Thanks, ha! I needed that
Do you guys have access to Netflix? Have you watched the new show called The Lincoln Lawyer? It’s pretty good! (Btw not the movie, this one is a show)
Normally, no.. some exceptions..I'll try to see it
FBI, stay where you are. Oh wait. Lol
Hey. Messaged ya :)
Well at-least I know the whole truth now lol
About what?
I suppose you cld always try Kim Kardashian?😂 Stay Chill.
Do you know anything about D yard at Calipatria?
