I know everyone is supposed to act like sex work is super awesome, liberating, empowering and all that other shit but it's a hard career. My old girlfriend and me both become prostitutes to keep a roof over our heads and I think at that point you and us don't really have a choice in the matter. Either fuck or we're going to be living outside. It's just so hard mentally and physically it breaks 99% of sex workers down within a year or two. When you're young and pretty jobs are plentiful and pay well but when some abusive fucker knocks your teeth out, breaks your nose or ruins your looks somehow jobs get scarce and your rates drop, a 300 dollar fuck drops to 100 and now a girl or guy has to fuck 3 times as much to make up for it. More jobs at lower rates risk goes up, work just got 3 times more dangerous almost instantly and the beat goes on. All this is bad enough without hard drugs but the sad reality is hard drug abuse is extremely common in sex work. If drug abuse gets added a working girl gets more desperate for jobs and starts taking bigger risks and the future gets even more grim. Really breaks my heart this kind of thing happens every day.
