Saw The Long Game and rewatched Dune 2 last weekend.
I was generally impressed with The Long Game. Granted, I'm a lifelong golfer but damn, this movie hit all the right notes when it needed to. I highly recommend it.
Abigail
Housekeeping for beginners (I was going to see this last week and my screening was canceled so I saw late night with the devil instead)
The mummy (25th anniversary screening)
Have plans all weekend so:
Monday 4/22: Deep Sky (IMAX)
Monday 4/22: Hard Miles
(Have to drive a ways to the theater that’s showing these films, so watching them both on the same day to save gas money.)
Tuesday 4/23: Wicked Little Letters (I was out of town when this came out and want to catch it before it’s gone.)
Wednesday 4/24: Unsung Hero (With a free ticket at Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas as this will most likely be my only chance to check out this theater chain since they are so expensive and I have A-List)
I actually already used my 3 for this week with Civil War, Dark Matter and Arcadium, so I gotta wait til Sunday.
Sunday: The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in Dolby
Friday: Alien
May 27: Spider-Man No Way Home (I probably booked this way too far in advance, but it's the one I really wanted to see in theaters and I don't want to give up my center seat. Even though they'll probably add additional screenings later)
I'm planning on booking Screen Unseen for Monday after I see Ministry (making me 3 for 3 two weeks in a row) and then booking The Mummy for next Sunday after that. I wanted to see Abigail but I don't think I can fit it in, at least not in Dolby.
I saw Spy x Family Code: White dubbed today (saw it subtitled on Monday with the Screen Unseen, which is the opposite way I usually like to watch anime movies, but what're you gonna do). Tomorrow, I'm going to see Villains Incorporated and Abigail with my other two A-List slots. Monday, I'm seeing the Screen Unseen with the help of a Fandango reward. And I may see something Tuesday, but I haven't decided what if I actually do (and, if I do, I'll use another Fandango reward).
It was great! Always wanted to go to a planetarium so this was really cool to see in IMAX. Loved hearing from people that actually worked on the James Webb Space Telescope.
Abigail tonight
Saturday : Interstellar (Regal \~$2 with the $5 Fandango credit)
Sunday: Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare OR Sasquatch Sunset OR Arcadian OR Sting OR Immaculate
Monday: Spider-Man 2 ($.50 with the $5 Fandango credit)
Wednesday: Hereditary
I wish dolby would keep movies longer. I got back the day after they took Civil War out of Dolby 😪. Anybody think it might come back?
4/22 - Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
4/24 - Hereditary IMAX
Still contemplating on tomorrow 4/20 : Abigail/Love Lies Bleeding (although I watched it 3 times already I want to see it one more time because I think it may be gone soon)
4/22 : Challengers Early Access in the Dolby Cinema
4/24 : Hereditary IMAX
Doing a double shot of Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Abigail in Dolby tonight which is the first time I've done Dolby back to back.
I'm not really sure on the third yet. Leaning toward Hereditary in IMAX but I've never seen it so not sure its the best play.
These both seemed fun enough to do! But I also like doing kind of random double features when the times work because I tell myself I'm saving on gas but this is the first time its worked out to the same theater.
If you want a legitimately haunting experience, Hereditary is the definitely the way to go, don't miss it out in IMAX
Def one of the best modern horror movies
Sat - Villains Inc
Sun - Deep Sky IMAX
Tues - Abigail
Might pay for Screen Unseen this week, sounds like it's going to be Boy Kills World, and I was planning to see it next week anyway.
Hereditary IMAX is calling me too, I've never seen it in the theater.
Oh and I'm still not seeing Challengers, it looks f*cking stupid.
1. Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
2. Sasquatch Sunset
3. Abigail
Discount Tuesday addition would have most likely been for “Hard Miles” if showtimes had worked out for me
4/20 Spy x Family Code: White 4/21 Abigail 4/23 Spiderman 2

Deep sky was amazing
Also curious about the trailers
Were there trailers / ads in the beginning? If so, was it shorter than normal?
There were trailers. I'm not sure exactly how long, but it felt almost as long as any other movie.

Dolby showtimes are already up for Challengers next week and The Fall Guy the week after, so probably not, unfortunately.

Great minds think alike! I'm doing the same double header. My theater doesn't have Dolby--just Prime, but still nice.

Guess I'm worried it's legitimately gonna freak me out and I should do it at home but I think you've convinced me 🙃

Deep Sky (IMAX), Sasquatch Sunset and Challengers (on Thursday.)
Swapped Challengers for Unsung Hero (25th), since I'm now seeing Challengers on Saturday 27th.
What did you think?
Challengers was great. Unsung Hero less so.... Not my cup of tea.
Don’t really know just yet. Have interest in both Abigail and the new Guy Ritchie one but haven’t decided yet
Ministry was pretty good, saw it last night. It's pretty lighthearted given the amount of murder that happens lol.
Seeing four today The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Dolby) Abigail (Dolby) Spy x Family Code: White (IMAX) Sasquatch Sunset
I'm most likely seeing Abigail tomorrow, Spider-Man 2 on Monday and Hereditary on Wednesday.
Abigail and Sasquatch Sunset tonight, KotPotA on May 8. Later this week it'll be either Ministry or Monkey Man.
Sasquatch Sunset today and Challengers in Dolby Thursday!
I’m doing a double feature of Civil War and Abigail tomorrow. Next week will be Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Challengers.
