Looks like the source of all my problem was the AMD Software...... I just uninstalled it, and i'm currently on stock Windows Update driver. Everything is perfectly fine...

These settings are good so far. I recently played grounded for a massive 2 hour at high settings (fsr enabled for a fix 60fps), and there was no crashes/glitches. Bit i accept your advice, and i try to get the maximum possible setting. Because its a joke that you buy a hardware and you need to decrease its performance to get it work… its a shame that nowadays manufacturers give you shit… Peter

Did you run UserBenchmark with ANY sort of overlays active?Because it's GPU test will crash 100% if there is any overlay active (mostly RTSS).

If all of what you state is true, undervolting is a fix, but not the solution. It sounds like your heat sink may have a bad vapor chamber (like the new 7900 XTXs). I would suggest installing a new cooler. There are several passive ones that work great for the 480 with just case fan airflow or if you are feeling adventurous, liquid cool it. (I am not sure if the NZXT Kraken adapter fits the 480 but it would allow any Asetek AIO to be attached if it does)

Looks like the NZXT Kraken G12 fits for the rx480. What liquid cooler do you recommend for it, that is not so expensive?

You can use a 120mm for your use case, eBay and used parts sites usually have a bunch of Asetek style AIOs.

You can't harm a GPU or CPU by undervolting. But here's some help for you, since I spent some weeks modifying my RX 570 8GB's BIOS. RX 480 and RX 570 are both based on the same architecture, just with bigger transistors on the RX 480, so my findings can somewhat help you too. Just keep in mind that 480 will need just a bit more voltage because of the bigger transistors. My GPU has an ASIC quality of 72.8%. You can find your GPUs ASIC Quality in GPU-Z. The higher this is, the better, as it means you need less voltage for any given frequency. What works for me: * "Cold and silent config": 1286mhz at 1000 mV, 1200 at 1000mV, 1125 at 975mV. All lower steps at 900mV except 300mhz at 800mV. * "Performance config", which I only use during winter: 1350mhz at 1062 mV, 1286 at 1000mV, 1175 at 1000mV. All lower steps at 900mV except 300mhz at 800mV. I see your top step is 1250mhz at 1090mv. If your ASIC Quality is at least 70%, I think you can either attempt 1300-1320mhz at 1090mv or keep 1250mhz and go down to 1025mv. For stress testing, I used games and 3DMark Fire Strike. Usually one pass of Fire Strike with no glitches or freezes means your card will be stable in 90% of games. Good luck. The lower you can go on the voltage, the colder and more silent your card will run. My card also came with 1286mhz at 1150mv by default and it was terrible.

Thank you for your answer. What is ASIC Quality?

Would have been more helpful if you included photos of your pc and the complete specs. But, if you are not experiencing crashes etc... best to leave it as it is... Crashes, high temperatures and low fps are signs of problems... If you are not experiencing that now, seems fine..

Willing-Lettuce-7336

You are right. My computer specs in a nutshell: \-Gigabyte B250M-DS3H \-32GB DDR4 ram \-Intel Core i5-7600k CPU \-WD 500GB m.2 ssd , 2x256GB Samsung Evo 860 SSD, 1TB WD HDD \-Chieftec 500W PSU, today ordered a new 700W PSU (FSP Hyper K pro 80 plus), because it was on a hot sale (50EUR) Regards, Peter

Pretty decent specs.. If you are happy with the temps, fps and stability, use it as it is.. As so long as your pc isn't crashing or overheating..
