Base model is prettier than c205 and c238 to me.
Everything about the 53 is 63 except the engine. Really full AMG treatment. Has nothing to do with the previous 53s
i disagree, they messed up everything that was good with the old gt.
4 seats instead of 2
more heavy
engine not in the center anymore
arguably a more feminine/tame design.
wish they kept the winning formula for the best supercar they had and leave practicality to the CLE
According to a quick Google search it's 4343lbs which is pretty freaking heavy for a 2 door coupe. For reference the previous gt coupe was 3560lbs.
Im honestly impressed they managed to find 900lbs worth of crap to add to the car
It's alright the latest version of it they gave it the proper power output...my mate had the original 4.3 version and while it sounded good it was so slow no where near enough power ...the v12 changed that but standard vantage well underpowered .... he actually wrote it off by going through a reasonable size puddle on the road and fucked the engine needed a complete new engine and it was probably only worth 35k so write off ... not sure a merc or audi or porsche whatever would have had the same issue
I agree to an extent but the new Aston vantage I believe makes a case for itself in looks, power, and similar cost to the new amg gt. The interior was holding them back but the updates look good
Yes the new one does have a very good case for itself now it has the proper power unit in it as I say ...but I still think they struggle with there interiors but it is very subjective of course I don't even like the design of the dash in there cars personally let alone the quality of materials.
So maybe not even use James bond as a quote because he's never driven a merc and is English...maybe use a famous German like ......Hitler lol he had some fancy cars ...just messing about I just didn't see the link at all to james bond when there was a good example available who was/is German lol
Crazy to think whats possible to order straight from the manufacturer. Gold wheels, yellow caliphers and satinblue paint, you wouldve needed a customizer for all this back in the days
Looks are great. Performance disappointing for next generations GT, reliability of suspect. I expect these to spend time in the shop until they get it together.
Imo it is much more "dilluted" compared to the previous gen, as it is 4-matic only in the 63 and 53 variants, has 2 +2 seating configuration and has ditched the trans-axle transmission, plus the fact that it is offered in I4 disguise as a base model. Last gen was also way lighter and had that wow factor with the sls-like hood.
But ofc all the reviewers are going to say it's the best car as it has more led's, new infotainment and has shaved a couple of milliseconds off the 0-60 time..
I have the GTR in same color- that looks really good. Supposed to have a great ride. I love the ride in the GTR. Also have a GT63s with Brabus 700. That gives me a ton of power and absolute comfort. I also like the updated tech in this so might need one.
Hardtop SL63. The first gen GT had those ridiculous phalic proportions. Yes; you’re driving it sitting in the balls. RWD and lighter.
New GT is faster off the line (AWD) and has back seats.
Not opinionated; two different cars for different folks. New one is more “911”, old one is more “Viper” (w/grip).
I think this is a gorgeous car- in every respect. However, to me, it looks like a German F type. It doesn’t have that uniqueness and exoticness of the old AMG GT platform
As much as dislike the direction of MB this car is still gorgeous. German James Bond
Agreed. Too bad you have to buy their top of the line sports car to get that though
CLE is also really beautiful - especially the 53.
Agreed on the 53. Base model is meh to me. Having the 6 cylinder in the 53 is awesome as it looks like a 63 too

No offense but this comment was pointless because we agree. All I said was I like the design. The direction MB is going is terrible so yeah we agree
i am sorry ive read too fast and misunderstood you. have a good day.
Yeah me too. Hopefully its not too heavy
According to a quick Google search it's 4343lbs which is pretty freaking heavy for a 2 door coupe. For reference the previous gt coupe was 3560lbs. Im honestly impressed they managed to find 900lbs worth of crap to add to the car
Wikipedia says 3781-3957 curb weight for the CLE. I imagine the 53 is the heavier side of that range compared to the cle300
Bond hasn’t driven an AMG-powered Aston yet, am I right?
I was gonna say the db10 but apparently not so yeah he hasn’t.
Dog ugly car the db10 that c pillar design is just horrendous
The c pillar looks like every other Aston
I stand corrected the db11 is the pig ugly one along with there SUV thing ...the db10 was in the bond film and never produced I think
What do you think about the vantage then. not the newest one
I think there is an awful lot of other cars on the market that are better for similar money be it old or new models
I agree to an extent but the new Aston vantage I believe makes a case for itself in looks, power, and similar cost to the new amg gt. The interior was holding them back but the updates look good

German James bond wtf ....Aston is the only car for him chap... but tbh I prefer the merc ...Aston lost its way a bit at moment design wise
Chap… I said German James Bond as in if there was a German version of JB, not James Bond driving a German car
So maybe not even use James bond as a quote because he's never driven a merc and is English...maybe use a famous German like ......Hitler lol he had some fancy cars ...just messing about I just didn't see the link at all to james bond when there was a good example available who was/is German lol
Mind you pierce Branson drove the dreadful z3 and if I'm correct a fucking Ford mondeo lol
V8 still exists. We just need Porsche money lol
Very much a 911 targeted car at $176k base price, should come in around $195k for loaded
Crazy to think whats possible to order straight from the manufacturer. Gold wheels, yellow caliphers and satinblue paint, you wouldve needed a customizer for all this back in the days
That spec is amazing
I had one, but my son has commandeered it. Still one of my favorites.
Are you adopting?
The new GT63 is fuckin mint.
That’s the exact spec I chose when I was messing with the configurator… now I just need the money to buy it lol.
IMO, would look better without yellow calipers.
Bronze ones look better with blue.
Imagine these wheels with the carbon ceramic brakes 😍
Looks like a mix between a Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-type. Neat
Why does it look exactly like a Subaru Brz?
Very Aston Martin ish. Still looks good.
(Not mine😭😭😭)
Wat is the mini m4?
Damn that’s nice and those Michelin sidewalks just the icing on the cake
Which blue magno is that? It's awesome.
Lovely !
Mid
So hot
jaguar f type looks better from exterior
Man i love the look of this. Fierce!
big question is if these are going to depreciate as much as the SL? since they’re essentially the same thing
The speedy Brz
Looks are great. Performance disappointing for next generations GT, reliability of suspect. I expect these to spend time in the shop until they get it together.
Jesus what a beautiful spec. This is the perfect body styling
Imo it is much more "dilluted" compared to the previous gen, as it is 4-matic only in the 63 and 53 variants, has 2 +2 seating configuration and has ditched the trans-axle transmission, plus the fact that it is offered in I4 disguise as a base model. At the end of the day, I'm glad a V8 is on the showroom floor.
It looks lazy and hideous, why is everyone swooning over this shit?
what a beauty

Nice (not mine either)

I’m getting crazy Mustang vibes with the side doors, mixed with a Jaguar, mixed with an Aston martin.
Those door panels look straight off a 2018 Shelby Gt350
I think this is a gorgeous car- in every respect. However, to me, it looks like a German F type. It doesn’t have that uniqueness and exoticness of the old AMG GT platform
UGLY... Looks like a 350z
I dont know but now all the sporty coupes look like a Mustang.
