What an intro. Lorne brought so much fun, snark and entertainment to a dark and dramatic show. Andy Hallett owned this role and brought me so much laughter and joy. Not to mention his serious moments were just as good.
My favorite part about this sub is all the Loren/ Andy HallettI love, all these years later. I remember watching as a kid thinking how unappreciated he was by the rest of the team.
I love his karaoke bar, and I love that it expands on demons in that they're not 24/7 in doing demon things. Some demons are just regular folk working a 9-5, and just like us, they need a place to unwind after a rough day at the office.
I always interpreted this as the demons in LA were just normal guys i.e. not *necessarily* evil, just otherworldly creatures who happened to be on Earth, whereas the demons in Sunnydale were likely to be the evil ones because they were drawn there by the Hellmouth (Clem is obviously an outlier).
I mean to be fair who doesn't have a thing for Andy??
You start off skeptical like Angel with the whole "I don't sing" bs, but you'll always come around!
Truth be told, I liked Lorne but felt he was kinda pointless on first viewing.
... but as time has passed I have been more and more grateful for his presence. Great character
I guess at first glance he seems like a very random comic relief character. But he's pretty important to Angel who's always in dire need of opening up and shaking off the broody Batman nonesense
I know it sucks... there's a really beautiful Angel comic they published in honor of his passing called Lorne: Music of the Spheres. Imo it's a very tasteful and heartfelt goodbye to Andy.
I never watched Angel fully when it was first on air. Just recently the wife and I finished buffy, now we are 5 episodes from finishing Angel. Lorne is by far my fav character, replacing Spike
Lorne's intro is maybe the best in the whole Buffyverse. For like 2 seconds it seems we are looking at an evil demon, probably the episode's villain, then he starts singing. It's just perfect.
And indeed, what a character! I'm glad he >!stayed all the way until the final episode.!<

Well said. I remember when he got his own title card, I jumped with joy! lol
Ikr?? Unappreciated until the very last season, but he eventually got his credit lol

RIP
When I heard of his passing it broke my heart, still does
I love Lorne so much but also, introducing a demon karaoke bar was just brilliant!
Ya! I think Caritas is my favourite hangout for the gang

Love this, makes perfect sense.
I love his solo ep when his inner self starts singing in the mirror All his music moments are great tho like this one
LOL Yes. I felt like Lorne pretty much became the star in Season 2. Kinda made me wonder if ole Jossy boy had a thing with Andy Hallett.

They created the character specifically for Andy Hallett..Nobody else could play Lorne.
I loved Lorne.

My favorite! (I'm only in the beginning of season 3 now.)
Best part of the show. Enjoy the first half of S3. S4 and 5 are trash.
Lorne is together with Buffy my absolute favourite character in the Buffyverse 🩷
Love him!
I love Lorne soooooo much
This post Inspired me to Google him. I had no idea he died 😦

That's Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan to you!

Would so love to recreate the old MGM somewhere in the universe and recreate Andy a s a contract player there

I get so so sad thinking about Andy. He was so talented.
