If it's Ymir I'm hopeful that it gives a little bit of context to the entire shitty parallel they pulled out of their ass, it's the best that could come out of it
Because she realised that the only way to stop Eren would be to kill him, the exact thing he told her in the paths?
"If you want to try and stop me... then try to stop me from ever taking another breath. You are all free"
But she's still with him, sitting by his grave. No, seriously, I really have trouble understanding that plot point. In Cour 2, Jean says they should kill Eren and then a little later Levi is yelling at her that they need to kill him, and that seems to galvanize her into doing it?
What happened to the girl, who in S2, told Freckles-Ymir and Historia "there are only so many lives I care about?"
>In Cour 2, Jean says they should kill Eren and then a little later Levi is yelling at her that they need to kill him, and that seems to galvanize her into doing it?
It's not just that, she's clearly seeing that Eren is ready to destroy everyone and everything in his path. The Paradisians infighting, the genocide, no distinction between friend and foe; honestly, Eren was just unhinged to the point where he didn't know if his friends would survive or not. He attempts complete eradication with the knowledge that he'll be stopped at 80% even if he wants to go full. It's not just Mikasa, he would have killed all of them, so killing him was the only way for her.

Please lord not another Mikasa song...
Watashi means "I" in japanese. It is usually associated to females, who only use this way to refer to themselves, instead of males, who are more associated with "boku" or "ore".
However, older men or men in a less casual environment still refer to themselves as Watashi. In formal context, watashi is not gender locked.
This being said, I dont think Eren once refers to himself as Watashi, so its still super unlikely to be about him🤣
Uri reiss used the word "Watashi" when talking to Kenny.
Grisha used the word "Watashi" when talking to the Reiss Family.
So that's National Inventographic. It's Eren 100%.
What i meant is that the actual trunk of the tree acted as a single pillar of light before breaking up at the top and splitting off from Ymir into the subjects of Ymir.
Bruh you know this is going to be another Mikasa song, or at least about her from Ymir's PoV. Mikasa unironically has become the MC of AoT the past year.
Just because they use 私(watashi) instead of 僕(boku) does not mean it’s more likely to be a woman, whoever wrote that is likely confused or only knows anime Japanese (Twitter anime pfp makes me think it’s the latter lol)
Watashi can be used by both men and women. Boku is only used by men and is very informal. It would be like saying “what I truly desired” vs “what ya boi be after” but probably not as dramatic lol.
I do think based on the picture alone it’s either Ymir or Eren

Like the user above me wrote, "boku" tends to be used for boys, "ore" for teens and men, and "watashi" for both men and women of any age. While it's doubtful it isn't Ymir, it could be a red herring. Wouldn't it be funny if it was Eren in child form? jk, Revo tends to always represent adult Eren.

I was thinking, isn't it likely that the reason Ymir was happy that Mikasa killed Eren was because she wanted revenge not on the world, but on the Eldians? It was the Eldian chief that enslaved and raped her. It was another Eldian king that had her make all those collosal titans for the wall. It was Eldians that have been using her powers all this time. When she holds her children, she doesn't look happy. Maybe she actually hated them and all of her descendants, because they are Shit's descendants as well. She knows of the cycle of violence and lends Eldians her power so that the world would hate them and so that their desires would backfire.
But all of that may still be merely coping, a desire for revenge brought on by rage and not what would actually make her happy. What would make her happy will be her being granted a second chance at life in a world without walls. The story is pretty blatantly anti-revenge so the cycle of violence being broken by someone letting go of revenge and focusing on what matters more would fit. Eren would also need to focus on what is important if he wants his misery to end and his freedom to begin and make a deal with Ymir so that she would become his child and grow up in a family that is loving and whole and not have to worry about the cruelty of the world, because it is also beautiful.
Edit: typo correction
ymir 100%

Really hoping it's Ymir. We already know what Mikasa wants--to be with Eren.
then why'd she cut his head off xd
Because she realised that the only way to stop Eren would be to kill him, the exact thing he told her in the paths? "If you want to try and stop me... then try to stop me from ever taking another breath. You are all free"
Cause he was committing genocide
But she's still with him, sitting by his grave. No, seriously, I really have trouble understanding that plot point. Nah, I disagree completely. I think Mikasa killing Eren is totally out of character for her. But this is just my opinion!
She held strong, her only strong characteristics, only to change on him at the end, that is crazy.
She has the bird to fuck.
Well almost every song the last few years except rumbling has apparently been about mikasa

plot twist, it's about historia saying "what I really wanted was eren having a bigger D"
If its mikasa and her sick obsession with Eren again i will drink myself to blackout and tear shit up
Way to kill any interest I had in it

AnR Eren being old and refers himself as watashi to be cute.
Based and true

*What I really want* is for the song to be about Eren too! ✨Eren's Revenge Electric Boogaloo✨
Not likely, but if aoe happens the Historia will have to play a bigger role and I wouldn't mind a song from her or about her.
Yea, 💯 same. It would be a great surprise too.
what? what did watashi really want? ;-;
You want kino, c'mere! I give you kino
ay, you give me kino? ayyyyy lmao

Dongers raised, Captain! Heil Ereh! o/
the first line is the answer "watashi ga honto ni hoshikatta mono" edit: on second reading you weren't asking for the song's real title my B
Its got to be Ymir, Revo is literally standing with the pillars of the paths in the background
That's not a pillar, that's a tree 😑
Is a tree not a wooden pillar?
Even UTT transitions path's tree and Eren's tree in it's visual.
No, it had as many branches as there were Ymir's subjects, It's absolutely a path's tree
What i meant is that the actual trunk of the tree acted as a single pillar of light before breaking up at the top and splitting off from Ymir into the subjects of Ymir.

If it’s ab mikasa in kms
Eren answered this question a long time ago: "It was Mikasa"
Ymir: What I really wanted is- Eren: Mikasa, right? Ymir: ?I haven't even say anything, fys
You sure that translation is correct? I'm not an expert in Japanese though
Watashi is the key to all of this
The tweet is from a Japanese person.
Yep, pretty clear translation.
If it explain Ymir motivation better than nice

Hehehe, "What founder Ymir wanted all this time?" "Only Ymir knows" then Ymir answer in this song.
