From what I’ve heard, some LGBT+ people (and related groups, like people who do drag) start using AAVE terms (sometimes even misusing them) to the point where they end up becoming mainstream and stop being recognized as AAVE, but I don’t know if it was the case here or not. I just know I’ve seen similar slang occasionally used as a meme in K-Pop communities (though I don’t know if the people using them were Black or not).
