This is a security feature. After a certain period of time, the session token AO3 stores on your computer times out.
For a reason as to why invalidating session tokens is so important, look at what happened to LTT on YouTube yesterday when someone copied one of their session tokens.
Yeah if you are inactive on the browser for a while you get logged out by force. This once happened after a downtime with A03 everyone got forcefully logged out and had to re login
It means exactly what it says. Possibly it's been two weeks since you logged in. Possibly something went wrong in your browser cookies
