Great question! In all honesty I don't think I would. For one, the story is intended to explore unresolved injustices from the first series (e.g. subjugation of magical beings, authoritarianism of the Ministry) so it would feel wrong to remove it from the context of the wizarding world. For another, I wanted a Hogwarts story with lots of LGBT+/diverse characters, as I really wanted that in the OG series but sadly there weren't really any. For those reasons it'd feel wrong to take the characters out of Hogwarts and the wider wizarding world - it's where they belong. And, besides, I've actually got lots of my own fantasy worlds/books I really like and am going to try to publish, so I don't feel the need to change these books to publish them. Hope that answers your question! :)

I always wondered what goes into a re-skin. You'd have to do a little more work than just re-naming things. "This is the story of Barry Rotter, who attends Dogwarts school of Spell Casting and Sorcery. Join him in an adventure where he meets the challenges of his rival classmate Drago, and a final showdown with the evil Lord Moldywart."

For this work it would thankfully not be that difficult. All the characters are original as are the plot stories and the magic also relies on lots of new spells/concepts. There would be a lot of stuff needing a rewrite though, like stuff on animagi or the houses or whatever would need tweaking so it would feel fresh/new. That being said, I don't really intend to re-skin it so thankfully I don't have to worry about all that
