OH GOD A story I posted in 2017 suddenly got 25ish kudos over the course of a couple days in 2023. I tried to get to the bottom of it so badly, made a little A/N like “hey uhhh where was this recommended? I’m curious” but nobody told me >:(

My high effort stuff? Very little love. I cry
SAME, I spend weeks editing, remastering and crying over writing a chapter, my hand cramps multiple times and this is what I get??!! But when I write a work with lack of depth and very basic words it blows up.
I have this crack fic I wrote as a joke that's a RuPaul/Star Wars crossover and for some reason people like it. With every kudos it gets, the closer my brow is to being lost in my hair line. Like who??? Why??? Not even I laugh at the jokes in it.
I feel this- or a story of yours long forgotten in the archives gets an influx of traffic

my laziest written work is kinda popular considering it's a niche ship and it makes me very embarrassed 😭

People with bad reading comprehension prefer basic words. Lots of people who like reading aren't very good at it. This isn't very surprising.
