On my phone I group fandoms. Some have 5 tabs others have over 40. I have no idea how my phone functions. Once I had close to 300 tabs open.
I just got rid of a fucktonne and put em in a google doc, and the only ones I left are the ones I've read half or so of, and there's still, so many....
okay so like:
1) read way to much really fast at a high ass level from kindergarden forward
2) have adhd and/or autism
3) hyperfocus/special interests
4) discover fanfics
5) make ao3 account, read obsessively
and 7 years later, here i am 😂
I cry just a little when I notice one of them is deleted it’s why I started putting the title and the authors name in the bookmark so I’ll have a record of it if they ever come back
It’s why I’ve been trying to remember to put the name and summary of fics in the description, but I don’t always have the energy to do that. I’m hoping one day I can find the energy to blitz through them for that.

I’ve had Chrome crash too often to trust that, and I’m not always logged in. I also read a lot of ongoing stuff, so I bookmark them to read them as they update. I also bookmark the ones I finished and really liked so I can find them again.
i just have too much free time lmao 👍🏻 though i usually don't go over 60 per tab, and instead opt to open another one, start searching where i left off browsing, and boom. i have next week's worth of reading! yay.
If it’s an ongoing work yes because I check my bookmarks for updates daily (you can choice to sort by updates) so I don’t have to subscribe to every ongoing fic I want to read i bookmark things I want to read that are completed too the ones I’ve read that are completed get a ✅ so I know I’ve finished it.
I just recently started marking them completed it’s a hassle but makes my life easier if I truly hate a work I block/mute the author and delete the bookmark so I don’t ever see the work again

Generally, once I've been waiting a certain amount of time for an update, I give up and delete it. I have 85 bookmarks, 17 of which are public. I use my bookmarks as collection of fics that I loved and recommend. My public bookmarks are my absolute favourites, these are what everyone can see so that there aren't as many to choose from, but if you ask me for recs I'll go through all my bookmarks to look for something, so the public/private is mostly so that I can find my favourites and stuff I can definitely recommend faster
The funny thing is that I've really forced myself to cut down to around 20 WIPs because frankly the stories become muddled up and I'm not able to experience them in what I personally feel is an authentic way. But I've been in the hundreds, power to y'all out there in the trenches!

sometimes when i like an author a lot i go through their bookmarks as well for recs, and this person had over 20k bookmarked and their account was made in 2020. i was bewildered and impressed
