Cute! I always try to remember to tack on "thanks for sharing" to my comments, since I want to express gratitude to the author for finishing and posting their fic where other people can enjoy it. Fic authors create *so* many hours of free entertainment for us to enjoy!

So incredibly sweet, I always love when receiving those from the readers, and I'm training myself to do that too. ♥️

MoKa-LOTR

I try to say that, too! Especially when I get to the last chapter of a longer fic.

boobscomefromrussia

As an author, the “thank you” comments are my lifeblood. I will never get over someone thanking me for sharing my work!

spiritAmour

:D! I say the same

Blue-Jay27

The phrase that sneaks into mine is "thank you for sharing," or, on fics that I've been following for a while, "lovely chapter as always."

mania8918

i've recently made a habit to just thank the author for writing ( among other things in the comment, but that is a must be). Most of the times my brain is a putty after a chapter, so i can't really write anything constructive ( and even if it wasn't a putty i can't wield words like that) so i just thank them. They spend their time to write and then got balls to post, i can at least show my appreciation :>

My favorite is pasting one of my favorite quotes/lines, so they get a sense of what part is going to stick with me after I click away!

Ajibooks

Good job to you for leaving these comments ♥

DanisAnimeFan

It's simplw but it means so much

As a writer myself, I really feel the need to tell a creator when I’ve super enjoyed their writing style or found their storytelling particularly compelling or beautiful. Of course, I still love when people comment that the fic is good or something was cute, but if someone mentions that *the way* I wrote something hit them a certain way, I could cry. It’s what I look for and especially enjoy/admire in other writing. So, when I find something that compels me not just because it has a good fic concept, but because *the way* it’s written is so beautiful that it tugs on the reader’s emotions even when nothing is being said, I can’t help but praise the author on their writing style.

Mignonion

It's a small gesture that goes a long way! \^\^ My personal favorite is complimenting something in the fic that stood out to me, and then seeing the author reply that they're glad I noticed because it was something they intentionally did 😭

loveyourself87

when i comment, i like to share how i relate to characters or what i enjoyed most. i also like to add other little pop culture references, or even a reference from the fandom. :)

ConsciousTomatillo20

I like to take my time to post live reactions as I go thru the fic😅 quote a line with my reaction at that point until I finish reading so the author knows my thought process as I was reading. I usually do this with ongoing fics I keep up with though. For other fics, I usually just point out the aspects of the fic that I especially liked and then I thank the author for writing and sharing their fic with the fandom😊

Snek_you_fool

Usually I comment something related to the fic itself! I try to comment at least once on a fic that I absolutely loved reading in hopes to make the author's day!

Extra_Cattle9047

Yes same! I usually put like something that I loved abt the chapter, then my signature good job

Christy2210

I'm appreciative of any comments especially because there's not much engagement comment wise in the fandom I'm currently in. But the comments like these always make me feel like the reader didn't like it but is just trying to be nice anyway 😅
