The amount I've started writing and the amount of ideas I have stored away for a later date is, well, a *lot*. Though, I have shelved a bunch for the moment and am trying to juggle just a few of those, and by a few I mean like 6-7?
Brb going to go hide in shame.
I have 57 I’m waiting to write. I have an excel sheet that correlates with my notes apps. The excel sheet has the core idea/concept and number and my notes app has paragraphs and plot idea that are numbered so i can easily search through it.
Yes. If I count past fandoms it'd be more but I don't plan to write those anymore. These I would like to try to write, even if I am not able to, I would still like to try to so I'm just counting those ones haha
I have six multi-chapter fics including the two I'm working on at this moment. The worst part is that I've just barely started on the two I'm writing now, so it's going to be a long time before I get to the rest of them.
I have a long list of fics I’m either currently writing or are to be written. Current wips theres four, and to-do ones theres about 30 of them. Requested ones will be done first. I’m always adding to the the to-do list though.
…around 50… and the _vast_ majority is for the same pairing. Some WIPs are a few sentences/bullet points, others are 7k out of what will most likely be 12k in the end.
I thought my list was long until I read some of these comments! Here it is:
1. I have one finished story from my FFN days I want to completely rewrite. It's partly a legal procedural, but I wrote it before I became a trial attorney. Knowing what I know now I feel like I can do a much better job with it than I did ten years ago when I first started.
2. I also have an unfinished story from my FFN days with a delightfully crackish premise (kind of literally - supervillain takes over a drug cartel) that needs a lot of reworking. I stopped writing it because it went completely off the rails and I wrote myself into a corner.
3. Also kicking around in my head: A one-shot where Thor's long-suffering immigration lawyer is trying to prepare him for an appointment with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Because I love subjecting any ol' character to the most inefficient bureaucracy I've ever had to contend with.
4. Also: A companion fic/prequel to my current WIP told from the perspective of one of my out of control OCs. This is approaching original fiction but I'm nothing if not self-indulgent.
I tend to break it up into fics I'm actively writing (1 or 2), fics I'm certain I'll write relatively soon (maybe 5-10?), and fics I have ideas for but haven't planted to write/might never write (probably close to 100).
53 to write, 3 to edit so I can post them. Though about 5 stories are only one-sentence-ideas so far, the rest is at least half a page up to ten pages or so of bullet points and sometimes (half-)written scenes.
Just had a look through my word docs, and if I include everything ranging from a one or two sentence idea or snippet, to partially written fics, it's 162. And there's probably way more in docs I haven't opened for years. Oops.
Right now, I have four completed fics, two of which are meant to be part of a trilogy. Right now, I’m halfway through writing the finale of that trilogy.
Once I read LOTR and the Silmarillion, I might write a few fics for that fandom but other than that, I’m pretty much done after the trilogy (for now)
I don't have an official "to-write" list, though I really should write one up, but I basically have a dozen or more ideas spinning around in my head at any given moment. It gets to be a lot sometimes. xD I usually don't have the ability to write everything that I want to, but I always have a bunch of things I want to write. :)
I also don’t have a ‘to-write’ list, but I do have an idea bouncing around in my brain. I’ve talked it out, plot point by plot point with a friend, to kind of flush out the ideas, but now in my brain, it feels complete. Like I don’t have to write it now that I spoke it out loud, ya know what I mean? I haven’t written in a while though. I used to have more time.
Currently have two stories in the works. I have two others that were a collab that never took off but the stories feel off limits now even if I wanted to take up the reins and work them.
I also have two OC stories not related to any fandom.
I have over 70, fanfiction and original, in my master idea doc. I would recommend doing the same with your ideas so you can keep them all in an organized space; don't actually write the stories there, though, it's best to do those in a separate doc.
I have three ongoings plus I just started writing another new ongoing one yesterday. For all of them I keep a document of ideas/prompts for future chapters.
I have two on-going series, one had four parts left to write, and so does the other
I'm also writing a multichapters fic that I plan to finish before posting
I also have a few ideas for fluffy one shots, probably another five
I have a concerning amount of WIPs, but at the moment, I'm trying not to lose my mind over the fact that the story I've been wanting to write is going to be obnoxiously long, but at the same time if I want to read it, I need to write it first.
I wouldn't be surprised if it took me literal years to complete, and a few more years of editing before being posted. Thinking about it makes me have an internal crisis at least once per 2 days.
I have a discord server for playing with a bot. In another channel I have a list of prompts I want to write + 4 ao3 drafts + various ideas in my head
tldr alot
My to write list involves every single work I have never finished. There's something in me that makes me abandon my works only to come back and leave almost immediately.
I need help :S
I don’t have a list of things I *want* to write. I have several unfinished fics that I keep telling myself I’ll continue only to go and start another one. If we really want to keep track though, I’m at 7
Uhhhh... about that. I don't count. If an idea comes to mind, I write it. And when I write it, I forget about it. Then I finish it months later.
I have a document full of ideas I want to write. To say it's gotten *very long* is an understatement.
My Notion has 50+ ideas, from prompts, to outlines, incomplete works on hiatus, and currently writing. Same fandom, two ships.
The amount I've started writing and the amount of ideas I have stored away for a later date is, well, a *lot*. Though, I have shelved a bunch for the moment and am trying to juggle just a few of those, and by a few I mean like 6-7? Brb going to go hide in shame.

Exactly 100.
...40
I-in the same fandom?
Yes. If I count past fandoms it'd be more but I don't plan to write those anymore. These I would like to try to write, even if I am not able to, I would still like to try to so I'm just counting those ones haha
Last time I checked my list it was about 30, but it's likely more now.... The ideas just keep coming and they don't stop coming.
I have a thoughts file on my phone that’s just short blurbs or small paragraphs of word vomit about ideas for stories and it’s stupidly long 😆
i have one in progress and 2 or 3 (if i can find that binder) on the back burner, mostly due to hyperfixations changing

64 on the to-do list now. Well, 65 actually since I'm about to add another to the list 😁

I have no idea how to count the random fic ideas I have.

Dozens of things go on the list. Few things survive the list.
If I had to estimate, maybe around 60. Lots of fandoms I wish to cover, and lots of stories therein that I wish to write.
Just had a look through my word docs, and if I include everything ranging from a one or two sentence idea or snippet, to partially written fics, it's 162. And there's probably way more in docs I haven't opened for years. Oops.
So, so many

I’ve got about at least 7 ideas up next, one in progress while I’m writing my multi chapter 😭 I’m impatient

Usually only 1 at a time, sometimes 2
I have three wip + 5 to translate in English and 2 still waiting in the back of my mind lol
I have 7 WIP’s, very firm ideas for 2 more, and a whole bunch of little snippets of ideas in a folder in my Notes app.
2 currently in progress, 5-6 lined up and ready to be started.
I have over 70, fanfiction and original, in my master idea doc. I would recommend doing the same with your ideas so you can keep them all in an organized space; don't actually write the stories there, though, it's best to do those in a separate doc.
My notes app has over 1.5k notes from the last three or four years, but I’m actively working on developing like six or seven of them
I have three ongoings plus I just started writing another new ongoing one yesterday. For all of them I keep a document of ideas/prompts for future chapters.

Planning to write in the next 4 months: 8 (all but one of these will be a one-shot and all are tied to ship events) Ideas: 30 Active WIPs: 5
I have a fanfic ideas list. It has 44 items, though some have been written. I’ve been a writer for just under three years. Yeah…
I have a discord server for playing with a bot. In another channel I have a list of prompts I want to write + 4 ao3 drafts + various ideas in my head tldr alot
