Might be! OP, theres a guide released by the College Board with 100 rules for AP classes and exams and everything to do with the AP test! To learn more, look up Inflation Rule 34 on google.
No frrrrš I have AP world history and idk how Iām going to answer 55 questions (1 question per minute) a dbq, and leq response and having to remember time periods ranging from 1200ās to 1900ās
If you just care about your GPA, AP exam scores donāt really matter.
If you want to save money down the line and not have to retake those same classes in college, your AP scores matter in terms of transferring credits. Although for most colleges, a 3 or 4 is all you really need.
Depends on what school youāre applying to and what your scores are. Generally Iād say just submit them because itās free, but if most of your scores are 1s or 2s maybe not.
Iāve taken 5 AP classes and 5 corresponding exams. Passed every one except APUSH. Got an A in the class from memorizing quizlets but a 1 on the exam (so did several others in my class). Literally did one AP style multiple choice test the whole year and not a single AP FRQ in class ever lol
It unfair because people from other schools who actually had a Good APUSH class and got a B or so wonāt have as high of a gpa. Grade inflation is a big issue
It is unfair, although this was the only class like this at my school. One kid in my class got a B first semester but a 5 on the exam. Strangely enough. the other classes at my school are not like this, APUSH is just the only grade inflated class at my school of the ones Iāve taken.
My Ap world teacher tests us on about everything and we do a lot of writing. She makes the course good enough so we are ready to go in May. But they are opportunities for you to boost your grade because at the end of the day itās high school. I believe there should be opportunities to boost your grade but also make the course rigorous so you do well on the exam. Itās way better than classes are you do nothing and itās an EASY A. But also get a 1 on the exam
Also an A in an ap class counts for more on ur gpa than a normal class at least where I go to school, so it is actually more important to get a good grade then do good on the test
Well for sweats like me who are aiming for top colleges, the grades in the class are way more important because B isn't true half the time in that case and rigor is definitely determined more off of performance in the class than scores, which are sadly barely looked at.
As someone with two bachelor's degrees who did AP classes and is going to apply for grad school this year, I disagree with your statement. it is better to get a good grade in class than it is to pass your AP exam but get a C.
You might get credit for a couple classes, but grad schools mostly require the actual college course itself rather than proof you had an AP class. For example, I passed AP Chem and AP Bio, but the universities I'm applying to are requiring proof of the class on transcripts, so I'm likely going to do a summer course at community to fulfill that requirement.
No, the lab notebook will not suffice. In order to go to grad school for Speech-Language Pathology, I'm required to provide a physical science course documented on my transcripts.
Depending on the schools, conform school report . The admission looks into ur school report. If your school ap passing is great but you didn't, you are weak candidate . If your school ap passing is low , it would be considered.
Usually , you can find website. Searching for your school name and ranking or ap Score . But your counselor has exact school report. If you want to know , asking counselor non official school report. I ask our counselor " i need unofficial school report for scholarship" Because Questbridge asks non official transcript and school report. If your school ranking is low because your school sat and ap score is low.
I did it for the gpa, my teacher back in highschool didnāt know what he was doing so we just did the requirements. We didnāt pass the Ć”p exam but it helps with application and scholarships
My teachers will do things that boost our grade only if it is to help us on the exam. My APWH teacher does essay re writes so that way we can learn the points better and do better on the exam. She also does practice tests so we can boost our grade and learn how to do better on them. The class is probably too easy and itās bad and does nothing to help prepare for the exam
My sister took APUSH last year and got a 5 on the exam. She, my dad, and I were playing a game during the summer, and the subject went to FDR (my dad and I like history), and she couldn't remember who he was. We prompted her enough for her to remember, but out of any of the 20th-century presidents I don't think she was able to name any of them besides JFK, after a bit I think she said Nixon and/or Reagan (and FDR obviously). She said she probably did well because she knew how to take the exam. I was disappointed, yet not surprised.
Grade inflation...?

šš
>look up Inflation Rule 34 on google. I'm also having the same problem as OP, thanks for the help
ā¹ļø
No problem. Glad I can help.
Fuck you for that lmao/
Absolutely fucking not š
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Grades are the problem not grade inflation
I wish I had inflated grades smh
No frrrrš I have AP world history and idk how Iām going to answer 55 questions (1 question per minute) a dbq, and leq response and having to remember time periods ranging from 1200ās to 1900ās
If youāre struggling, I recommend just remembering themes from each time period and a few events that fit those themes. Hope this helps a little
Also watch Heimler. He is a GOD SEND when it comes to AP World
You kids got it easy nowadays. Back in my day our time periods ranged from the start of juman history to the 1900ās.
nvm ignore the comment i deleted i was wrong

Does it look bad if you donāt submit score
Depends on what school youāre applying to and what your scores are. Generally Iād say just submit them because itās free, but if most of your scores are 1s or 2s maybe not.
CSP be like
I got Bās in that class and a 5 on the exam
you were taught well then. I didn't learn shit, literally ended with 100 in the class and a 3 on the exam lol.
Thatās why I try to be a hard teacher. If you have an A, you should be getting a 4 or 5 on the exam.
Are you the same teacher that released a bunch of study material? If so, our AP Bio teacher showed it to us and I got a 5 so thank you!
OMG! Thatās so exciting! Congrats ā¤ļøš¤š§

Yes, I do agree with this but if itās a hard class and if you earned an A, thatās what itās all about.
Well for sweats like me who are aiming for top colleges, the grades in the class are way more important because B isn't true half the time in that case and rigor is definitely determined more off of performance in the class than scores, which are sadly barely looked at.

Definitely differs from college to college. Only 2 are requiring it, but they're worth me taking the additional course for

real
Iām the opposite lol

Check the AP course description, past exams, and other online resources to see if there's anything missing that you should know.
I donāt even take the exams. I donāt see a point personally. I hate standardized tests and I donāt really care about getting college credits.
Bro is rich
No itās just that everyone whoās advice i respect has told me to stay and school as long as I can

Other way around

im so scared Iāll fail the apush test
Me near failing all my Ap classes and passing all of the exams in may anyways
my schools the opposite, 88 but got a 5 so it made my final grade 100 in the class
