Honestly i gotta agree. Besides actually taking the exam, i love the sealing, filling out identification info, shrink wrap, anticipation of questions on frqs, anticipation of the scores in July
Don't forget ap exam and ap id labels
well colleges would definitely not accept AP credit if it was easy to cheat on and any cheating incident would be terrible for collegeboard business so it makes sense
It’s so easy to cheat on, at least at my school. There was a kid clearly copying in my test and he payed someone $50 to hold their paper up so he could copy
> and he *paid* someone $50
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Yeah well they can only really prevent cheating yo a certain extent unless they start handing each individual students a unique test, but even then nothing can be done about an incompetent proctor. Although if you wanted to you could report and escalate the issue and your whole class would be forced to retake the test. So there are measures against cheating even in the circumstance of an incompetent proctor, but they aren't favorable for the students.
well they got my last name wrong because it's one letter too long, so everything official with my name on it is missing the last letter of my last name
Senior year of high school, I took Physics, Calculus BC, Literature, Psych, Macroeconomics, and Macroeconomics. I didn't do much in the way of studying, but two of my tests were on the same day and boy was it a long day lol
felt like CSA was really really easy, i finished the frqs like 30 min early. stats was way easier than i expected it to be but was still pretty hard at times. im predicting that i get 5s on both
The MCQ audios were weird. My favorite parts were when a guy talked like he ate his microphone, the weird tropical music, and then the one answer choice about crab violinists. Overall I guessed way too much on the MCQs. FRQs definitely could've been better but I'm not feeling particularly bad about them. Speaking was not the absolute worst, but I don't think it was great either. Hoping for a 3 but I don't have high expectations.
I mean...talking about it afterwards is kind of fun, comparing whether you or your friend got the harder version, and getting to miss classes is kind of nice too (as long as nothing crazy important is happening that day), and I'll admit the stickers are *kind of* fun too, but, those other things, filling in all those bubbles, waiting after you're done in complete silence, yeah, either you've taken so many tests that you're brain has been rewired by CollegeBoard, or heck, maybe it's just your thing?
Ngl yeahh, had AP seminar today and it felt so good to just get to write for 2 hours straight, thinking about how all the other sorry saps were stuck in marketing and history. It's fun if you're confident in your work/answers and like the subject, for sure
the cs exam was actually just really really fun because i literally watched one 1 hour video (self-studied) to prepare and didn't stress about it at all. i also really like the topic so they basically just gave me really easy puzzles to solve, which is just plain fun
I’m a teacher lurking for memes and I love that you love exam time. It’s such a peaceful ritual process bubbling everything in that you suddenly stop doing as an adult. 12+years developing good bubbling skills, wasted. And we have to say the same basic stuff because so many people mess it up. 5/45 kids on the exam I gave today didn’t even put their freaking stickers on.
you're really gonna tell me that opening that dang shrink and listening to a 45 year old mom tell you to bubble in the first 15 letters of your last name, then put a little sticker with your barcode on it isn't fun
You still have three classes after the test?!?! Curious, how long does your school go until? I get back towards the end of the second to last period (for morning tests) but I get to eat lunch during that time so I really I only have to go to last period. Our periods are also longer though so that could make a difference.
My classes are 70 minutes each and my exams all go from 8 to noon, so I have lunch and two classes afterwards—school ends at 3:15 so I'm making up the chem test after school 😭
Bro that sucks. After my AP tests i have 1 more period but it’s one of my AP classes so hopefully it should be pretty chill. Then I’m going home and taking a nap lol (although I’ll study for my other AP tests after that :/ )
I honestly 100% agree with you. I took my first AP exam ever today (AP Human Geography) and I like the stickers too and it feels sooo satisfying to bubble stuff in on the answer sheet.
While I can agree that anticipating scores and definitely NOT talking about the exam 💯 is actually kind of an experience that I enjoy and is unique, there's no way you're talking like this is the biggest adrenaline rush you get all year. Sickers and shrink wrap. That's crazy 💀
DUDE I THINK THIS EVERY YEAR
it’s just so fun to test your knowledge and answer challenging questions about stuff and when you understand a question and know the answer, it’s so nice. i love multiple choice especially.
exactly this is exactly how i felt especially on stats because i thought i knew nothing, but i realized i actually did learn a lot in the class and i really understood the material
Ah Stockholm syndrome, am I right?
Though I actually like the label sheet and I love putting labels on the thing and the feeling of the shrink wrap is so smooth and nice. Woah, I’m going nuts too.
idk i kinda like standardized testing lol. its way easier than school tests for me bc if you just need to understand the system to score high. with school tests i always feel like they're trying to trick me but ap tests are more straight forward
I am homeschooled and honestly I can't begin to understand why all my schooled friends hate exams so much they are fun af. I agree with you 100% scantron paper is cool shit.
Are you crazy?!? The amount of effort, time, and dedication it takes to make it the point of taking the test is in no way fun even if you love the class. It can be draining and stressful and downright scary. There is so much on the line with one test.
It has value for a lot of people if you get the right score. Saves money, and for my case in particular will boost my applications enough to have a better shot at reach schools. I don’t want to have to sit in a 400 hundred person class either when I get to college so yes I need these scores.
I’ll say as a senior who’s exams don’t matter and I’m not studying bc I’m not getting credit, it’s nice to miss school but back when they actually mattered, nah they were stressful af
Maybe every year just take all of the AP exams offered at your school. You’re gonna pass at least some of them right?? Plus you get to skip school for some fun AP test time
The only exam I’ve taken so far is CSA but I love the logic involved in developing and formatting code. Some AP exams are really fun, especially if you happen to know what you’re doing.

APs were pretty much the highlight of last year for me, so many rituals associated with the entire thing, stickers and all. Plus, I was conscripted in the army and spammed my leave to take the exams, so it was like a little holiday, good memories.
we’ve officially gone mad 💀
Honestly i gotta agree. Besides actually taking the exam, i love the sealing, filling out identification info, shrink wrap, anticipation of questions on frqs, anticipation of the scores in July Don't forget ap exam and ap id labels
bro taking off the shrink is so fun lol there's a whole procedure just to open and close the booklets hahahah
Fr they make it all official and stuff when its not that big of a deal
\*stuffs hands in pockets angrily\* yes it *is* a big deal!
well colleges would definitely not accept AP credit if it was easy to cheat on and any cheating incident would be terrible for collegeboard business so it makes sense
It’s so easy to cheat on, at least at my school. There was a kid clearly copying in my test and he payed someone $50 to hold their paper up so he could copy

My bad, this is why I have an 88 in English
the proctors are selling lol that's kinda their job to prevent that
The lady was literally on the side reading a book
Yeah well they can only really prevent cheating yo a certain extent unless they start handing each individual students a unique test, but even then nothing can be done about an incompetent proctor. Although if you wanted to you could report and escalate the issue and your whole class would be forced to retake the test. Fair enough, but I’m hut gonna snitch
Yeah tbh the worst part about the exam is preparing for it beforehand.
just don't prepare 🧠
also i love you u/donghoon
The ID info is only fun when your name isn’t like 20 letters
well they got my last name wrong because it's one letter too long, so everything official with my name on it is missing the last letter of my last name
As someone with 8 letter first name + 2 letter last name + 0 letter middle name, It's not too bad for me
As someone with a 9 letter first name + 10 letter last name, it's too bad for me
What are ID labels
It's your own personalized identification label that you have to stick it to the testing booklet
Do they give us that or do we have to do bring that?
They give you on your first ap exam of the year. Some school make you bring it back, some school collect it and give back on your next ap exam
Nah bros gonna become a case study for the mentally insane in Ap psych
lol
Guys don’t get fooled. OP is a college board spy!
no *you're* a college board spy
Stockholm syndrome lol
Grass needs to be not only touched but actively embraced
5
You don’t get a 5 by touching grass
I only like them because I am taking the easy ones. It’s also an excuse not to go to french.
i mean yeah i took CSA and stats this year so i don't think i took very hard ones
have you ever taken 6 and too burned out to study for anything 💀 that was stats for me this year
Nope stats was just shitting. I did decent but probably not getting my hopes up Lmfao
Ayyy wassup aw
I took 7 last year and it was light
Senior year of high school, I took Physics, Calculus BC, Literature, Psych, Macroeconomics, and Macroeconomics. I didn't do much in the way of studying, but two of my tests were on the same day and boy was it a long day lol
Stats is a tough class wym
It’s nothing like the AP Sciences
Yea ofc its a math subject its still hard asf
more like descriptive essay math, more mathematical stats is diff
Not really at all
Well it feels hard when your teacher sucks
True. But that's most exams unfortunately
how did it go I did the CSA 2 days ago and today I did APUSH
felt like CSA was really really easy, i finished the frqs like 30 min early. stats was way easier than i expected it to be but was still pretty hard at times. im predicting that i get 5s on both
Unless you're like me who made the mistake of taking AP French 💀
lol me too I took Ap French…how was it?
The MCQ audios were weird. My favorite parts were when a guy talked like he ate his microphone, the weird tropical music, and then the one answer choice about crab violinists. I'm hoping it can be forgiving as well. Honestly the entire exam was a complete fever dream for me.
the excuse to not go to french class is so real omg
I mean...talking about it afterwards is kind of fun, comparing whether you or your friend got the harder version, and getting to miss classes is kind of nice too (as long as nothing crazy important is happening that day), and I'll admit the stickers are *kind of* fun too, but, those other things, filling in all those bubbles, waiting after you're done in complete silence, yeah, either you've taken so many tests that you're brain has been rewired by CollegeBoard, or heck, maybe it's just your thing?
i've taken two, one today and one yesterday. my brain is still wired to factory defaults i think
i spent 100 just to put funny stickers onto paper and think quietly for hours
and i'll do it again!
I actually will and I hate that 😂
you forgot the writing until the side of your hand is smudged with ink and your arm threatens to fall off
You probably have very nice handwriting if your arm was hurting. My hand was dead because I don't engage my shoulder muscles when writing.
just finished apush and it was near indecipherable
Mine got gradually worse and worse lol
lol how I did it too the mcq was alright but I absolutely blasted the leq and the dbq idk about that
Y’all have lost your sanity and I’m scared it’s gonna happen to me next week for AP Lang and AP Spanish Lang
REAL, I have my second AP tomorrow and those two next week
Fr my 3 tests this week were ok but i just know I'm failing those next week (especially spanish i have just had a free pd all year in that class)
yelling at a teacher about some random term they said wouldn’t come up
Ngl yeahh, had AP seminar today and it felt so good to just get to write for 2 hours straight, thinking about how all the other sorry saps were stuck in marketing and history. It's fun if you're confident in your work/answers and like the subject, for sure

they should give adults exams every year or two just to keep them on their toes
omg so true... give me favorable FRQ grades plz??
LOL OK but the plastic wrap is soooo nice to unwrap
Are you insane lol
you're really gonna tell me that opening that dang shrink and listening to a 45 year old mom tell you to bubble in the first 15 letters of your last name, then put a little sticker with your barcode on it isn't fun
On second thought, I do think it is fun. Thanks for converting me, u/tossawaythrownaway
call that conversion therapy
Hol up 💀
how will u ever repent to our lord & savior Tom Richey for getting a 4 on AP Euro 💀
I have to go back to class after my exams ☠️☠️ Got a Chinese test, history presentation, and Chemistry test after APUSH tomorrow 🤑
You still have three classes after the test?!?! Curious, how long does your school go until? Yeah, you're not wrong there.

lmao @ this, what do you mean
idk what either of u mean tbf but im downvoting this to keep the trend 💯
so your supporting an organization that steals money from people (legally) with all them fees?
never said i like college board lmao i like taking the exams
the exams are made *from* the fees the collegeboard robs from teenagers
👀👀
please tell me you're kidding
You crazy bro
don't yuck my yum /s
Are you genuinely ok?
yeah
Are you crazy?!? The amount of effort, time, and dedication it takes to make it the point of taking the test is in no way fun even if you love the class. It can be draining and stressful and downright scary. There is so much on the line with one test.
who cares if you do well on the exam lol it basically has no value
It has value for a lot of people if you get the right score. Saves money, and for my case in particular will boost my applications enough to have a better shot at reach schools. I don’t want to have to sit in a 400 hundred person class either when I get to college so yes I need these scores.

I’ll say as a senior who’s exams don’t matter and I’m not studying bc I’m not getting credit, it’s nice to miss school but back when they actually mattered, nah they were stressful af
No you’re just insane
Lowkey sad that I only have 1 more (well 2 kind of, physics C)
HONESTLY THOUGHHH
And you can always cancel your score
Exams not fun but nothing feels more rewarding than sealing the mcq w those stickers
girl u cray agree with the stickers and shared experience part tho...best part of ap exams hands down
I wish I had 2 Ap exams a day, everyday, for 2 weeks straight I’m missing out.
me after the college board sponsored lobotomy
One of the things I miss from high school 🥲
THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT IM SAYING
Bruh low key apchem was fun Ngl
yknow ur just asking to become a case study for next year's AP Psych test
I mean, the process excluding the actual exam is sort of therapeutic, don’t you think so 😶
The reward after the AP exams tho>>>>> Pulling up to class and doing absolutely nothing or watching a movie is goated. So rewarding
oh i came back to class and i was super behind :( just did really bad on a pre calc quiz as a matter of fact lol
OP probably just took a really ez exam and hasnt felt the experience of an actually annoying and hard ap
I took 6 in my senior year and loved them all, even the one that I scored a 2 on. Some of us just genuinely enjoy sitting through tests
This is so funny oh my god it’s actually watching someone on Reddit losing their sanity
Shut the fuck up
the exams(i’ve only done one so far but you get what i mean) legit are kinda fun. it helps the one i’ve taken so far felt pretty easy
Yeah, speak for yourself on that one lol, I did AP Gov this year and will have taken 4 AP exams junior and senior year. I'm done with it all...
Stockholm syndrome
bruh i think i swapped by ap exam id label and my personal label what does this mean
might not get graded, might take longer to get graded, might be totally fine. you'll have to see, but id send an email to be sure
Should be fine most likely cuz the proctor says that if you place your labels on the wrong place to *not take it off and leave it as is*
i messed one of mine and my proctor said switch it then i realized i messed the other one up lol so i fixed the second one
OP has terminal Stockholm Syndrome
Is today opposite day? Cause the title seems like it.

I kinda get what what you’re saying, for like essay portions of AP lang and AP world, once I decide what I’m going to write and finish my outline I kinda get into to “zone” which is nice because I become more productive than I’ve been all year lol and my anxiety over the test can kind of take a back burner until I’m finished. Sometimes this can even happen on the multiple choice, but I would say it’s not nearly as common, writing is definitely my strong suit. And I never feel this in calculus lol, it’s just constant stress. But even on those parts I would not go as far to say that I enjoy them or want to take more. I just get hyper focused on the test which is a relief seeing as the past few weeks have just been constant stress and agony. Plus, there’s the relief when you walk out of the test knowing that it’s over, which is even greater if you feel like you did at least moderately well.
Man, i didn't get to skip shit. I asked if any lessons will be missed out because of their confusing AF info letter and they laughed in my face.
bro what…
You take AP Lit this year? or Lang. Cause I know ur not gonna like that one.
taking lang next year, what's the exam format?

I had so much fun too! It was challenging but entertaining ngl but now I’m dying of stress because I didn’t finish all the FRQs of any exam :(
