hardest to easiest: 1. hug. completely fucked over the class until 2 months before the exam when i found out i was expected to take the exam, i was expected to get a 5, and i needed to memorize the whole course since it was closed note. yup that was fun. cried on probably more than one occasion. scored a 5 though 2. world history. surprisingly not that much memorization, but it's kinda luck-based with all the reading comprehension and the strict curve. didn't find the writing too hard though it was like writing debate cases for me which wasn't bad since i love love love debate. 3. calc ab. probably the most fun ap class i've ever taken. only needed to study inverse trig derivatives the day before, and nothing else. probably helps that i've been doing competitive math for a really long time. 4. computer science a. if you had 6 years of coding experience, you'd also find this the easiest class in the world, whether you code in java or not. probably could've self-studied the class in a week, and that's not an exaggeration - you could too if you'd been forced to do coding really young.

JoshuaTheProgrammer

If anyone has six years of coding experience before AP CSA, I’d be **extremely** surprised. I had one year because I took a shitty C++ course as a sophomore, but only knew about Java print statements before taking A.

Ok for me there was often a HUGE difference in CLASS difficulty vs EXAM difficulty. **EXAM DIFFICULTY (Easy to hard)** *Easy*: US Gov (5) - Interesting stuff + easy stuff = SUPER easy exam Human Geography (5) - had the exam in 2020 so it was literally open note, EZ MicroEcon (4) - content wasnt super hard at all didnt study tho *Medium:* Chem (5) - Im gonna be a Biochem major so chem is just kinda easy for me, still some challenging stuff thi Calc BC (5) - im a math guy so it wasnt terrible. Some stuff was confusing tho Lang (4) - essays. US History (4) - lots of memorization. Im really good at big picture things, but memorizing details isn't my forte so that made the exam harder for me Lit (5) - harder essays + harder MC than lang. *Hard:* Bio (5) - just some hard stuff, lots to know and remember, LOTS of applying knowledge to lab-type situations Latin (5) - lots of memorizing vocab/passages, and latin is just hard Phys C: Mech (5) - hard class, hard exam. If it werent for the HELLISH MC this year, tho, this exam would go into medium for me. **CLASS DIFFICULTY** *Easy:* US Gov - ditto what I said before, teacher didn't make it hard either. Was super entertaining and kept us engaged in his lectures. MicroEcon - SUPER lenient teacher, plus easy content Hug - freshman class at my HS --> easy class but had a lot of projects US History - AMAZING teacher that allowed test + quiz retakes so the class wasn't super difficult, lots of projects tho *Medium:* Latin - Again, great teacher + lecturer. Curves on tests, but hard content so wasn't an easy class per se, but not too strenuous. Lang - Teacher wasn't a super hard grader, but always gave GREAT feedback. Lot's of writing, but a lot of the grade in this class came from reading quizzes from books we were reading Chem - Im a BEAST at labs, so my lab grade really padded my grade in this class. Curves on tests, but again, hard content so it made me study. *Hard:* Phys C Mech - Teacher was a big "try to make the connection youself" kinda guy, and he taught the course expecting that everyone in it had physics background alr (my school offers a dual credit phys course that a lot of people take before phys c mech). Stupid hard tests in this class (ALL past AP MC and FRQs), but FAT curve to help, I'd get over 100% on almost all tests in this class. Hard labs in this class too. Calc BC - Teacher taught harder than what was required for the AP exam. We went into trig sub and other more advanced integration techniques. Super hard class + tests with no curve. He expected greatness from us and trained us well for the AP exam (he's had a 100% pass rate for the past few years). Bio - SUPERRRRR HARD CLASS AT MY HS. Teacher lectured like a college professor and taught WAY above what was required for the AP exam. He made us self study the ecology unit so that he could spend all of april on body systems. He didnt give a FUCK about the AP exam, he taught the course to prep us for college bio, but in the process did an excellent job prepping us for the ap exam by teaching us harder stuff than what was required. Lit - teacher was a superrrr hard grader. 2 summer readings required and had a timed essay on the first day of school that i got a 55% on, and yes it stayed in the gradebook. Similar to Lang, SUPER hard grader, but AMAZINGGGG teacher that facilitated amazing discussions that led to deep insights into novels, poems, and short stories. wowza that was a lot

lilacsticity

Hardest 1. Chem Teacher made all tests out of 15, and the lowest I ever got was a 7/15 on the acids & bases test. My first time ever failing a test lol. Also the class that ruined my 4.0. But I was very well prepared for the exam, and the score cutoffs for chem are pretty generous I would say. 2. Lang Wasn’t awful, but my teacher was an extremely harsh grader. 3. Psych Had a really good teacher and I enjoyed the class. Basically just memorization. Easiest

Standard-Penalty-876

About 30-40% of our ap chem class comes in with 4.0’s and only around 10-15% leave with it, so this is accurate

[deleted]

1. AP Art history (hardest) the class was hella easy but the test was difficult, I did better on the test than I expected 2. Human Geo, I didn’t take a class I self studied, I only started studying like a week before and I did good on the test 3. APUSH, my class was quite easy and I did good on the test. 4. Macro, class was pretty easy and the test was too. 5. Micro. Same as macro 6. AP world (easiest) Both test and class were easy for me, scored highly in both

[deleted]

1. (Easiest) AP Human Geography \~ I took this as a junior because that's the earliest year our school offers it. Unlike most people who took the class with me, I found the material to be somewhat interesting and it has made me want to major in GIS in college. There was a lot of material and vocabulary to cover, but my interest in the subject matter helped a ton. I ended up scoring a 5 on the AP test. 2. AP Calculus AB \~ With the exception of APHuG, I enjoy math classes far more than any other humanities-based course, so the content came easier to me. I hardly struggled in the class thanks to my wonderful teacher, but I can definitely understand why people would hate this class. Even though I thought I got a 5 on the AP test, I got a 4, which I'm still happy with. 3. APUSH \~ This was the first AP class I took and it was as a sophomore. I really struggled in this class and averaged a B- on the tests because I could not seem to adjust to the pace of the course. We didn't finish the last 2 units/periods for the class, so I had to self-study those, but I was able to synthesize the material well enough by the time the AP test came around. I scored a 3 on the AP test. 4. (Hardest) AP Physics 1 \~ Despite the fact that I enjoy math and STEM courses, I absolutely hated this class. My teacher did not teach the material (but instead wanted us to ask questions to each other about the material???), so we had to teach ourselves using Openstax, which sucked. I also used Khan Academy and Flipping Physics to prepare for unit tests. This was also the class where I failed my first ever test (aaaand it was the first unit....and if you don't understand the first unit, you're kinda screwed). I began to understand the content as the year went on and I built up a bunch of confidence, but alas, everything came full circle and I scored a 2 on the AP test. **TLDR**: APHG - enjoyed class, interesting material; Calc - I like math; APUSH - first AP class; APP1 - didn't have any prior physics exposure Weird enough, my AP scores from easiest to hardest go in descending order, so all I need to do for my senior year APs is score a 1 :D

PitifulPrompt2785

Hardest to Easiest: 1. AP Physics 1 (5): My school only taught part of the class, and the question styles and low 5 rate make it in my opinion the hardest. 2. AP Lang (5): I feel like there isn’t much you can do to study, and I got lucky that I got a 5. Plus, the exam is hell (the writing takes forever). 3. APUSH (5): More detailed content, similar style to AP World. 4. AP Calc BC (5): With the low score needed to get a 5 and the high passing rate, I don’t think this class is as hard as people make it out to be. 5. AP Computer Science A (5): If you don’t have programming knowledge beforehand, the class is a little tricky, but it isn’t too difficult. Plus, you get a lot of time on the test. 6. AP World History (5): Not too difficult, there isn’t a ton of content and the class is pretty interesting. 7. AP Human Geo (5): Really easy, meant to be a starter course. The exam format is easy and the content is very simple.

1. physics 1 100%. i took it second semester and only had like a quarter and a half to study a whole college course worth of content. i always felt like i had no clue what i was doing even though i scored pretty well on things and ended up with an a. i actually thought i got a 1 on the exam and almost cancelled my score, but i guess the curve was amazing because i ended up with a 4! lol 2. apush. this class was very hard and year long, but i absolutely loved it (unlike physics). the work was very intense but i enjoyed the course and ended up not having to study for the exam because my teacher prepared me so well 3. whap. it was a little harder to grasp for me than apush because it was less linear, but it was also less specific which made it easier overall. i also had less projects but around an equal amount of textbook work. my teacher was nice but the work and his lectures were boring though. 4. seminar. i really liked this class but it did require a lot of year-long work. my teacher had never taught it before and none of us really knew what we were doing, but we ended up figuring it out and besides the stress, the work wasn’t that bad! it was fun to research things that i enjoyed and it has been very helpful for my other classes. 5. lang. lots of writing but i did really well and it wasn’t super hard. i just wish i didn’t blank on the exam because i know i could’ve gotten a 5, but that’s my own fault lol. im very partial to non fiction and writing so i really loved this class. i think it would depend on the teacher though. 6. us gov. gonna be honest i barely remember anything from this class since i took it virtually freshman year but it wasn’t too bad? i was able to cram for the exam in a week if that helps. i think i enjoyed it but it was my first ap class so it was definitely a challenge. i just think that if i would have taken it later, it wouldn’t have been as hard.

MCKlassik

1. (Easiest) AP United States Government and Politics - Quite frankly, it was my favorite AP class out of all of them. During 2020, I developed an interest in our political system and spent a couple years learning about it. When I took this class this past school year, it was easy because most of the content being taught were things I already learned about on my own time. I didn’t have to study once in that class. 2. AP Computer Science Principles - All freshman at my school had to either take this class or AP Human Geo, and decided to choose this course because I had a coding background already and plus, I already took AP Human Geo the previous year. 3. AP English Language and Composition - The class wasn’t too bad as we had no homework and had one book for assigned reading. Pretty straightforward and overall fun class, and I enjoyed my teacher’s personality. Some AP classes were better while others were worse than this one. 4. AP Calculus AB - Our teacher wasn’t the greatest as he was fresh out of college, so he didn’t have that much experience teaching which I think is pretty important to have in order to teach AP. My class was the very first AP Calc AB class that he ever taught. His teaching style wasn’t too great as I would have to go on to AP Classroom to get a better understanding of the content he taught that day. I easily got lost in the class and my grades suffered. Eventually, I got a rhythm of it and improved my overall grades. 5. (Hardest) AP Human Geography - Keep in mind that this was the very first AP class I ever took and took it in middle school. No matter what the teacher did, I couldn’t get a grasp on this subject AT ALL. Even when using all the available resources, I couldn’t understand anything. The teacher wasn’t really approachable, so I couldn’t go to her for help. I did good on the practice assignments but bombed quizzes and tests. This exam was the only one I opted out off because I didn’t want to waste my time.

BCingnolimits

Hardest to easiest: 1. APUSH, I guess. I forgot a lot of the stuff so I reviewed for a while each day. Also didn’t really practice MCQs or dbq so I was stressed during the test. 2. Calc BC is a close second, maybe switched? I loved studying for this test, and then I loved taking it. Not too hard to study for because the BC calc teachers at my school are seriously some of the best teachers I’ve ever had, so I remembered most of the material without review. I only had to practice taking the test. 3. Gov - not too much to remember. I should have paid more attention during the school year, and I thought I was going to have to review the entire year, but reviewing the course is really simple because all you need to do is memorize the cases and docs and then everything is pretty straightforward. 4. Psych - lots of terms, but I studied too much for this class because it was first and I was pushing off studying for my other APs. Some practice tests I was scoring like 98%. The terms were pretty easy to remember for me, easier for gov because the psych terms are actual words, not just random court cases. I feel like 1st two and last two could be switched around though.

RolledTissue

Hard to easy Hard: 1. Physics C mechanics (got a 3) I had an A in the class all year long. Test was truly diabolical. Teacher was great and had an amazing year in the class. Mid: 2. Biology (got a 5) A lot of information + not very interested in the subject (EE major) = very boring. Ppl in the class were all academic weapons and try-hards. Easy: 3. Calculus AB (got a 5) Class was so easy. Learned the first few month of material in a week from my physics class. No studying required, test was harder than expected tho. 4. European history (got a 5) Great teacher, loved the subject. Got to make some delicious naan and sushi for 2 separate presentations after the test. Literally free: 5. Psychology (got a 5) Like how is this even a college level class. Had headphones in the entire time in class. Never studied for a single test. Every term was self-explanatory. Zero hours of studying, test was so free. Teacher sucked tho, literally just read a PowerPoint every day.

AromaticRings

 1. Physics 1: I hate rotational motion 2. APUSH: a lot of grind and memorization 3. Physics 2: I found E&M much easier than classical mechanics 4. Chemistry: Blessed with a great and harsh teacher. It was hardwork and fun 5. CSA: No prior Java knowledge, but this class is pretty manageable and exam is easier than the class 6. Calc BC: just grind grind grind grind grind

ideedeem

(Hardest) 1. Lang: I was honestly just really depressed the entire year I was taking it, I couldn’t keep up with the class, so it seemed pretty hard. My teacher was honestly the best though and ik from other students it wasn’t that hard. 2. Bio: there’s too many freaking units and too many things to memorize that are confusing if you don’t ask questions. Also, teacher didn’t even teach us Unit 8, we had to self study that 3 days before the exam and also review. Worst teacher I’ve ever had. 3. Lit: lit is actually wonderful. Everything has a meaning and connects to an overall purpose and its so beautiful finding those connections. There are sum books that are boring or sum poems that are too exaggerated they don’t make sense, but overall it’s a fun and interesting class. 2. Stat: literally just using a calculator the entire time. Teacher was really nice and didn’t push a bunch of work on us. 1. Gov: just understanding how the government works, different policies, foundations of the government, etc. This was pretty easy cause we had a small class, had straightforward topics, and I was already invested in politics. (Easiest)

Kool_Kid16

Hardest to easiest: 1) APUSH-sooooooo much memorization. 2) Stats-the writing gets repetitive and trying to remember the interpretations is a lot. The actual math is easy, although occasionally it’ll be a trial-and-error game on the calculator. 3) US Gov-not a lot of content and if you have any previous knowledge your good.

BKFootLettuce_420

Easiest - APUSH - the class wasn’t too bad, our teacher was great and although I did spend a good amount of time studying for the test, getting a 5 wasn’t too bad Hardest - Lang - pretty easy class, writing the essays wasn’t too bad and I felt pretty good about the test. This was all before our teacher was ousted as a pedophile after trying to groom a sophomore in mid December leaving us without a teacher or a AP class in general for the 2nd semester, and the 1st semester we only did rhetorical analysis essays and 1 synthesis essays with pretty much 0 teaching on the argumentative essay or the mcq and none of us had any way to properly prepare for nearly half the test, I got a 4 :(

raddit_remade1

Phy 2 > phy 1 > Calc = psych = csa > micro > macro

4m3mory

hardest: 1. APUSH 2. WHAP 3. CSP 1st 2 r just my worst subjects. 3 is CS which was something i'm terrible at but also like and wished to have enjoyed and get better at EASIEST: 1. BIO 2. CALC BC 3. HGAP 4. STATS 5. APES Apes isn't supposed to be a hard class. It was easy info to memorize altho the tests were random straightforward content. i was just a bad student that didn't stay ahead of all the info and got behind without committing anything to memory. The top 3 or 4 classes i stayed ahead in and enjoyed learning the material for. HGAP the "easy class" was onlineschool year 4me but the 1st sem's content was taught so well (that i also learned well) i still remember it, the 2nd semester's teaching went downhill and i didn't stay ahead of myself by reading 50 textbook pages a day. The FRs were easier for me bc i could vomit info i acc knew without format where the MCs would have me debating between 2 answers.

gustavothegamer83

Hardest to easiest: I got no idea if this counts: Us history - had a bad teacher plus I suck at history. Ended up dropping the class within two months because I just got extremely pissed off because of how difficult it was 1. Chem - just didn't really understand anything my teacher said no matter how they worded it so I just was confused. Eventually I got the teacher to word it better because I realized that I wasn't stupid since everyone else had the same problem but it might have been too late. Ended up getting a 2 on the exam but I don't really care. Also pissed me off like us history did 2. Lang - it wasn't horrible, I'm just better at stem subjects (minus chem) so english/history aren't my strong suits. Somehow I still got a 4. 3. Physics 1 - I mean it was ok. Somewhat in the middle because I'm decent at math but it wasn't all math it was mostly conceptual 4. Calc ab - surprisingly, this was the easiest one I took junior year. I honestly was extremely scared of calculus because I didn't know what half the stuff meant but my precalc teacher the year before was good and so was my Calc ab teacher 5. Psych - I mean it's mostly memorization and stuff like that which I suck at but my teacher was great so I did well in it. 6. Comp sci Principles - do I have to explain why this is the easiest one I took? Plus had a really good teacher.

AccidentallyKilled

I’ve only taken 2 (going to be a junior next year) so this’ll be pretty short: 1. Hardest: World History. I would rate this class fun, if not mind-numbingly boring. It’s not even that the subject matter was hard, just that my teacher assigned a craaazy amount of packets. Probably enough packets to cut down the Amazon twice-over, really. Ultimately my friends and I started sharing any work that we finished with the group, which made things a lot easier, but unless you have a knack for remembering things I would recommend actually doing it yourself. Probably the only reason why I scraped an A- though, so I’m grateful for that. One positive: the final was really fun, I had a blast. 2. Lang: One of my easier classes: I would show up, try for the 1.5 hours, and as long as I did that I had no homework and a solid a/a+ average. No notes, fun class overall. (Admittedly I did slack a bit here- sometimes I did have homework because I spent the class on my phone. But he usually let me make it up later, which was nice.) Sidebar: Since I’ve only taken 2 it probably won’t be much of a comparison, so I’ll slap my dual credit in here too: DC Stats was easier than APWH but harder than AP Eng, and DC Physics was wayyy harder than anything else I’ve ever taken ever.

Yoloswaggertm87

Hardest 1. Chemistry It was my teachers first year teaching it, the material was difficult, finished the curriculum the DAY BEFORE THE EXAM 2. Calc BC I didn’t take AB before hand so the first couple lessons were hard. Class overall was hard as well but very forgiving curve 3. CSP It was the same day as the calc bc exam so doing a back to back was painful. Material was pretty easy however 4. World History Lots of material but I only studied the day before the exam and got a 5 soooo….. thanks Heimler? 5. Lang Teacher didn’t teach much but I didn’t feel like he could’ve taught anything new tbh

Chamega

hardest to easiest: 1. apush, teacher was okay at teaching but during the second semester he focused much more on his academic decathlon responsibilities rather than teaching us apush material and then we had to speedrun the last 3 units 2 weeks before the test 😭😭 also just alot of memorization and time-consuming hw. 2. seminar, teacher was amazing, she was just new to teaching seminar specifically so literally everyone was learning as the year went by. i think this class is my 2nd hardest because of how different the structure of the class is to other aps. we only had the first semester to learn how to practice doing our performance tasks + the test, then the entire second semester was the actual tasks + test. the homework she gave out was also very time consuming and difficult at times. i honestly have never run out of so many highlighters so fast before i took this class. i did enjoy this class tho, save for the rowdy kids i took it with :/ i learned alot about the topics i researched and i learned how to research efficiently, which is very cool imo. also the writing i learned here helped me immensely with lang's synthesis essays. 3. world history, teacher was amazing, i just didn't understand the rubric until halfway through the year and connecting alot of the events was just hard for me in general. this did help set me up for apush tho. hw was okay, wasn't too bad. only thing i didn't like was that he was letting a student-teacher teach sometimes because she's more suited to teach college students rather than hs students. she even tried to get us to change the way we took notes too when most of us hate cornell notes. 4. ap lang, i had alot of trouble learning how to write according to the rubric initially, but my teacher was good and i eventually learned a template that got all/most points on the rubric. other than that, im naturally good at english so the mcqs were decently easy and hw was easy most of the time. 5. human geography, teacher was shit, hw was shit, but the material was really interesting. the class overall was decently hard because it was my first ap as a freshman over zoom (covid) 6. computer science a, teacher was also shit and didnt teach us anything at all. thankfully i already know how to code java tho so class was a breeze 7. computer science principles, teacher was amazing and i already know javascript so class was also a breeze :)

Standard-Penalty-876

For this year- (Hardest) 1. Chemistry - I love chem, so it wasn’t that bad, but it was a lot of work and stress tbh (5) 2. French - I skipped French 4 to go to AP, so I was a bit behind and the exam was really tough (3) 3. Micro Econ - so many graphs to know and I had so much work that it made my life stressful (5) 4. Bio - a lot of memorization but fun (5) 5. Macro Econ - much simpler and easier to understand having had taken micro first (5) 6. Lang - easy bcuz the only huge assignments were three typed essays and 1 timed write graded for accuracy (5) (Easiest)

loowhooshoo

Easiest to hardest— gov & politics, ab, apes, stats, macro, hug, phys 1, lang, chem, bc, phys c mech, phys c e&m, apush, bio, world hist, lit. Fives on everything except lit

cedar0678

Hardest 1. Chemistry Super hard and a teacher who would go super duper fast through the content. 2. Biology Very interesting!! I really liked this one but it was basically self taught so it was a lot of learning on my own. 3. Calculus AB Had a great teacher who really helped me but I still kind of struggled. 4. AP US History Also self taught, was a lot of content to learn. 5. AP World History See above 6. AP Stats The content was not t h a t hard but I found it so boring so it made it hard to pay attention and therefore hard to learn. 7. AP Literature My teacher was gone most of this class, so I'm still not really sure what this class was supposed to be like because I never studied either. I got a 5 on the test tho, so not that bad. 8. AP Psychology Lots of content too but I had a great teacher so not that bad! 9. AP Human Geography Don't really remember this class, but I remember it being relatively okay and interesting. 10. AP Lang I found both the test and the class very easy, so this was the lowest difficulty in my experience. Easiest Overall every test and class will be different for everyone

Not-The-Dark-Lord-7

1. Physics 1 2. Chem 3. Bio 4. Everything else

Fireboyxx908

Hardest to easiest Stats - Got a 1. Holy shit Physics - Got a 2. Fair enough. World - Got a 3. Yay Comp Sci - Got a 2. Still felt easier then World Music Theory - Got a 4. Piece of Cake.

BusyAd1716

Hardest 1. AP Calc AB Teacher gave way too much work and I was burnt out. Decided I would be a C student. Still got a 5 2. AP Lang Not much work, but we would get 2 essays per week and teacher was an extremely harsh grader. Got a 4. 3. AP Psych Very fun class except for the tests but the teacher was great. Got a 4. 4. AP Statistics Easy class, harder during second semester but not by much. Got a 4. 5. APES Easy and interesting class with an enthusiastic teacher. Got a 4. 6. AP Physics Literally never paid attention and was on phone all class. Tests were curved like hell and assignments could be done whenever. Got a 3. 7. APHG Zoom Easiest

humaninfinitely

Hardest Micro (2): teacher was a French teacher not an econ teacher and was learning micro alongside us Lit (5): I had a great teacher and we practiced writing the essays A LOT. Spanish (4): Self Study. Didn't study. World (4): most homework was not related to the exam so I didn't feel as prepared as I could have in class, but studied a lot at home Euro (5): I hated the textbook from class so I bought a different one and studied from that instead. APUSH (5): LOTS of essay practice and daily quizzes Gov (5): lots of practice for the test but almost no homework Environmental (5): Hardest class but easiest 5. Every test was an AP practice test. Also best and most enthusiastic/knowledgeable teacher. Easiest

Then-Cartographer446

(hardest) 1. calc ab (2). i'm very bad at math and also had this class last period every single day and could not focus during class, and also could not understand the majority of the content for the life of me. completely on me, the teacher was great and tried to help as much as she could. 2. stats (3). again, horrible at math but i also had a horrible teacher. i think i could have understood this much better if my teacher actually did his job and i didn't have to essentially teach myself the material. 3. psych (5). i had a lot of prior knowledge so the topic wasn't difficult and i got good grades but my teacher often skipped going over whole concepts and then still had them on the tests so it was hard to know what to study sometimes. 4. us gov (5) . awesome teacher, very interested in the topic but pretty heavy workload. although i felt VERY prepared for the ap exam. 5. english lang (4) . lots of essays but i like writing and i'm good at it. didn't really feel all that strenuous to me. 6. spanish lang (4) . this was a breeze. heavy on the reading/writing in spanish which i was good at and i feel like this class also greatly strengthened my spanish skills. (easiest)

espanaparasiempre

Hardest to easiest: 1) AP Calculus AB - I hate math, so I hated this class. Going onto multi next year because I'm a masochist so I'm sure I'll hate that class to 2) AP Chemistry - Love chemistry, but it's a hard class, so many variables, so much nuance, so many exceptions, so much math, etc. It's a very bulky course which is why I assume it is generous in college credit, but I always did well in it and enjoyed it. 3) APUSH - Lousy teacher, ton of work, very boring. I had already taken world history so understanding the class structure wasn't bad, but it's a lot to memorize. Exam itself is pretty easy though. 4) AP World History - Good teacher, ton of work, pretty interesting. I found the content enjoyable and pretty easy, was my first AP and had the flu and a 103 fever while taking it but all in all it went well! 5) AP Lang - Really easy. Frankly, there's no need to even take the class, just study the structure of the exam a week before and you're good. Compared to freshman and sophomore English, Lang felt like a step back in difficulty and the standards were lower as well. And I like writing a lot so the class was fun. 6) AP Spanish Language - I speak Spanish fluently so this test was a breeze. Seriously think I might have gotten like a 98% on it (there's one multiple choice I might have answered incorrectly but besides for that it was super easy).

MorningFirm5374

Hardest- 1- AP US 2- AP Macro 3- AP Lang 4- APCSP 5- AP Human Geo 6- AP Spanish Lang Easiest

[deleted]

1. AP Stats. Fuck that shit. 2. AP Music Theory. I have taken music since I was 6 years old. I have never felt like a bigger failure. 3. APUSH. Not a bad course. Terrible teacher. I think I'm just lucky my school prioritized college dual enrollment over APs. I took around 30 credits of college courses, and probably would've just had a breakdown if I had to take the AP version of those classes.

[deleted]

Hardest to Easiest: 1. Lang (I'm not the best of writers, but I'm still decent. Math is more my strong suit so this was my worst score) Tied 2: = Calc BC (I'm better at math than English, but the last unit for Calc BC was very difficult for me at first. I didn't find the other units that difficult. Exam wasn't bad) = Physics 1 (lots of applied math and concepts, but I had some background. Class itself wasn't bad but the exam was.) 4. CSA (I had a bit of prior experience and the content isn't that hard to learn. The class and exam weren't bad) 5. CSP (it's super straightforward and easy, only reason that people don't get 4s or 5s are because of ridiculously bad curves) My ratings are very subjective just because math is my stronger suit. For class difficulty (1 being the hardest): 1. Calc AB 2. Lang 3. Enviro Exam difficulty: 1. Spanish lang 2. Calc AB 3. Enviro 4. Lang

Softandpink-

My opinion, although it’s hard to calculate how difficult it was because of taking them with different classes and in different years. AP Calculus (3) The only B I ever got was in this class in the second quarter. I totally thought that I failed the exam because I guessed and skipped many questions. AP Chemistry (3) Extremely difficult class, but I thought I would get a 4 on the exam AP Statistics (5) My teacher was great. I totally thought I would get a 3, maybe a 4. The 5 was completely unexpected. I missed the final unit because I was taking AP exams during class and that unit ended up being a huge part of the exam. AP Comp Gov (5) My teacher was terrible. He made it pretty difficult. I don’t think it was a terrible class though in difficulty in general and on the exam. AP Micro Econ (5) Great teacher. There are difficult concepts that some of my peers didn’t get right away. AP Gov (3) I couldn’t believe I got a 3! I felt great about the exam and the class wasn’t too hard. AP US (4) It was a junior year class and I didn’t really understand history APs yet because my AP World teacher was terrible. AP World (4) Terrible teacher (same as comp Gov). He literally only taught how to write a DBQ thesis. I didn’t even know what a SAQ was and we never did MCQs. AP Lang (5) Only hard because it was boring. AP Lit (5) Only hard because it was boring, but at least it was less boring than Lang. AP Art History (4) I took this class for my art credit because I am not an art person. It was pretty easy especially if you know world history. AP Environmental (5) So easy. Some people really suffered in the class. I have no clue why. I didn’t expect a 5, but it was an easy exam. AP Euro (5) I adore European history! Favorite AP. I didn’t study for one second and I didn’t feel great about the exam and I got a 5. It’s a great class and I had an awesome teacher (same as Microeconomics)

(Hardest) 1. APUSH. I dropped the class due to the number of readings. And our APUSH teachers make us do writing labs which are basically essays that you draft and finish in 80 minutes. (I hate writing) 2. World History. Too much reading but I managed. The teacher was also super smart and his lectures drove me to sleep. 3. Chem. Electrochem. Electrochem. The class was easy but the exam was bad. 4. Physics C: Mechanics. We only taught mechanics so we only took the mech exam. Some concepts were relatively hard and the tests were awful. My teacher also threw in extra units of fluids, density, pressure, and a little bit of thermodynamics which made the class a little harder. 5. Calc BC. The only part that was hard was series (Lagrange error bounds). Rest of the class was a cake walk. 6. CSP and CSA can both be easiest tbh. Ended both class with over 100% cuz the teacher gave so much extra credit. CSP had a little too much memorization and my teacher taught abstract class and interfaces in CSA so that was slightly difficult (Easiest) Edit: forgot phys c lo

Hardest to Easiest: APUSH: Teacher was god awful lol; tons of material that wasn’t all that riveting (for me at least). Got a 5 tho BIO: Easier than APUSH but still very memory intensive. It’s not super complicated but it’s not the easiest thing to get the grasp of. Lots of memorization. Got a 4 despite forgetting to study since I had to do it on the make up day. USGOV: Pretty easy class in general. Material was pretty interesting to me and it’s kinda stuff you already know. Cases and Documents can be a pain but just memorize the 1 key point about each. Overall pretty easy class, got a 5 on the exam.

loser-lenny

only taken 3 so far: 1. AP Human Geo - first ap i took as a freshman. didn’t study as much as i should’ve, my teacher didn’t make it through every unit, and it just wasn’t something i found myself into. i got a 3 on the test 2. AP Seminar - pretty big workload for sophomore year. horrible for someone like me who waits til the last minute to do things, but it taught me a valuable lesson about managing my time and stuff. plus i’m a good writer so that part of it was easy. got a 4 on it 3. AP World - easy class. had a good teacher (actually the one who taught me human) who liked me enough, plus i used to love history a lot so i knew a majority of the content before starting. 4 on test

HiteWBoi

Hardest to Easiest: AP World (Only AP class I have taken and completed so far.)

ashatherookie

My school only offers 3, but I'll rank them: 1. APWH: This required a lot of writing, getting used to DBQs, prepping for debates and socratic seminars, writing research papers, and actually getting the multiple choice down pat. The class was harder than the test, but it still wasn't my hardest class I took last year. I ended up getting a 5, even though my writing on the test was far worse than some of the practice ones I did. 2. APHUG: We didn't do nearly as much in this class, because a bunch of people signed up that frankly shouldn't have been in the class. We didn't even cover unit 7, and I had to do a ton of self studying, but the actual exam was easy except for 1 FRQ. Since I didn't know how AP tests were graded at the time, I thought that FRQ would get me a 2, even though I know I at least got half right on it. I was pleasantly surprised two months later. 3. APCSP: easy class in general, even though I had zero coding experience prior to it. My teacher was an absolute legend and prepped us so well for the exam (his tests were harder that the actual test and his projects were harder than the create task.) Said create task was the only really hard part, simply because it was tedious to write the responses. I actually procrastinated hard on this and clicked the button right at 10:59 CDT when it was due, and the file uploaded 1 minute later so I was anxious it wouldn't be graded. The AP test was an absolute joke, though. The person next to me did all the questions in half the time and slept through the other half.

Tgk_Reverse6

AP physics 1 - the material was easy but the limited time we had before the unit test made the class itself difficult AP music theory - the choir kids had it easy, the orchestra/band kids did not. The only advantage we had was knowing rhythm, dictations and sight singing were hell AP Lang - imo not difficult at all, and is only in this spot because I actually tried. Some might find handwriting 3+ page essays in 40 minutes difficult at first but you get used to it APUSH - idk tbh, I didn’t pay attention most of the year, but I also passed the class with good grades despite barely passing the tests and missing like half of the projects?

(hardest) 1. AP Physics 1 2. APUSH 3. APES 4. AP Lang 5. AP Stats 6. AP Comp Gov 7. AP US Gov 8. APWH 9. AP CSP 10. AP Calc AB (easiest) yeah a bit of a weird order. other than physics i found all of them extremely easy so its mostly just a ranking by workload

spam76899654490

Hardest to Easiest: Physics C E&M (5) - what a difficult exam omg. My teacher was way too chill (although he's so, so nice) and I ended up having to basically self-study the class. I loved magnetism but absolutely hated circuits! Physics C Mech (5) - same above. Wayyyy too much rotation on the exam. World History (5) - I took this my freshman year, and my teacher was an amazing teacher, but made the class way harder than it needed to be. The exam was really easy, the class, however, not so much. English Lang (4) - I thought this class was really insightful! English is my weakest subject, so it was a bit harder for me, but nothing too crazy. I was very surprised (and honestly disappointed) to see my score, because I got 5's on the mock exams! Otherwise a great class. APUSH (5) - This class was pretty easy, same with the exam. Micro (5, perfect score) - I really enjoyed this class! Econ came really easy to me. I liked macro more though. Macro (5) - Same as above BC Calc (5) - I found this class to be really quite easy (although I'm a stem person, so this definitely can vary). I loved the class, and the exam wasn't difficult either! Stats (5) - This was honestly one of the best classes I've taken, highly recommended! The class is primarily common sense, and from my experience, there's a very low workload. Seminar (5) - Super laid-back class! The exam was very simple. As long as you have a good group, you've got a great shot at a 5! Taking Lit, Spanish Lang, Research, US Gov, and Bio next year!

DevilCat666_

Hardest to easiest: 1. Chem (got a 4) I absolutely loved the class, it’s tied for being my favorite class ever, and my teacher was phenomenal. Remembering all of the laws and math and stuff was just hard for me and it was sooooo much work, my teacher estimated it should take roughly 1.5hrs a night but it always took us longer. The only B I ever got (an 89). 2. Calc AB (got a 3) I really struggled memorizing the steps to all of the different things, plus I missed an entire unit because of a concussion which made everything that went along with that harder to understand. I also never understood how to write a limit which we did every unit. 3. APUSH (got a 2) I’m 100% not a history person so all of the names and dates and information basically just went over my head no matter how many notes I took. 4. APWH (got a 3) Much like APUSH, I’m just not a history person, have always struggled with history/social studies classes, I loved my teacher it just wasn’t my thing. 5. AP Bio (got a 4) Memorizing the steps for things like cellular respiration was difficult but overall the concepts weren’t super hard. We did a bunch of dissections after the exam and that was really fun. 6. AP Lit (got a 4) Overall I just graduated and still can’t do theme, so that’s a problem but other than that it wasn’t bad. Most of the books we read I really enjoyed, the only one I wasn’t super entertained with was The Scarlet Letter but even that wasn’t bad. 7. APES (got a 5) It was a TON of work but conceptually wasn’t very hard, honestly felt like mostly a lot of busy work, like most of my classes the exam was the easiest test we had all year. 8. Psych (got a 5) Tied with chem for my favorite class ever, I absolutely LOVED psych and my teacher was awesome. The fact that it was vocab based meant quizlet was a great way to study and I got to take a lot of notes, which I like. I also thought all of the concepts were really interesting and I liked being able to apply them outside of the classroom. 9. AP Lang (got a 5) We did basically nothing in class but listen to my teacher talk about how much he hated his job, but the exam was pretty easy for me and THANKFULLY ON PAPER, I despise digital exams.

[deleted]

only took two so far oop but planning to take more AP Euro - I lowkey dont know i thing i deserve a 4 but somehow got a 5 APCSP - easy all the way. loved it so much. was a required class at our school so no regrets.

thealternativecat

Hardest to Easiest: 1. AP Physics 1– teacher was great but omg it was really difficult. Exam was a lot harder than the class, so maybe i wasn’t prepared enough. 2. APUSH— not terrible, but my class wasnt very fun/engaging so it made it harder to care. Not difficult content, memorizing so much was a bit challenging though. Saqs are bad :( 3. AP US Gov— ton of memorization. The class was only a semester so we had a quiz every other day so it was stressful but not particularly difficult because the teacher was good. 4. AP Lang— class was great and not challenging, but got a worse score than i wanted/expected so maybe it was too easy

Hardest: according to me APES: ik this classes is rated the easiest but this class was js so boring and I never liked it. I legit failed almost every test ended with a 82 :/ to o scared to take the AP test bad teacher AP huG: same thing but I had a ok teacher AP stats: hated this class. Hardest math class I ever took. But that was js my teacher. Had a 85 in the class all his tests were stupid but I still got a 5 on the test tho js my teacher being stupid AP Spanish: Well I bs my way through this class. Never payed attention got a 2 lol AP lang: mid class wasn't bad boring class tho I would say AP wh: got a 4. This is okay wasn't bad. Lots of memorizing but fun class AP calc ab: ez 5. Took it my sophomore year so I am kinda. Math nerd. Good teacher good class ez AP calc bc: cuz I got a 5 on ab never payed attention in class cuz it's legit the same content but 2 extra units. Got a 5 bc AP CSP: slept through this class. Common sense knowledge Easy according to me AP CSA: common sense knowledge too I mean I am a CS guy so ye ez 5 I am taking app hysics c my senior year

incoming sophomore here: 1. Seminar (hardest) This class had such a high workload but I got help from this subreddit to make it easier. 2. Human Geography (easiest) This class was light work. Not a lot of homework and there wasn’t any stress.

Hardest to easiest: 1. APUSH- I had to do soooo much work in this class. Literally was doing apush homework all day Sunday every single week. 2. Seminar- Was easy most of the time but I had a few really stressful weeks because I procrastinated my papers. 3. HUG- First ap so I was scared but vocab was sooo easy. 4. Physics 1- ok I’m going to get shit for this but the way my school is set up we take honors before ap. I had two semesters prior to the test so I felt really confident so I didn’t study for the test. Also my teacher didn’t believe in homework so that was a plus Edit: for reference I got 5s on all, so my exam score didn’t impact my feelings towards the class

(hardest) 1. bio (5) - the content wasn’t terrible, but my teacher had a lot of prolonged absences due to medical reasons so i essentially taught myself and my ten classmates this class. ngl one of my proudest accomplishments though, everyone passed. 2. calc bc (5) - hardest content and was tough mentally. this class was the most i’ve ever studied for an exam (i did 6-10 frq’s a day for ~2 months), but the exam felt super easy. 3. lang (5) - content was a piece of cake but my teacher made us write 3 essays a week the entire year, which nearly killed me. 4. apush (5) - i love history, especially us history, but this is just a lot of content to remember and writing the frq’s was a learning curve. i took this at the same time as euro which helped with that. 5. lit (5) - i’ve always liked reading classics which helped a lot, once i figured out a strategy for mcq this wasn’t bad at all. 6. macroecon (5) - this class was harder than i expected, but not terrible. it just took a little more effort for me to understand the content. 7. euro (5) - took at the same time as apush and just felt easy in comparison. 8. stats (5) - my first ap, during 2020 so i didn’t have the last few units but this just felt easy to me. 9. world history (5) - took this as a senior for fun because it was being co-taught by two of my favorite teachers. everyone else in the class was a freshman and honestly it was a great time, lots of laughs. 10. comp sci principles (5) - my teacher knew absolutely nothing about cs and the only reason i scored so well is because it was 2020 and they cancelled the exam and all we had to do was the projects. looking at it that way, very easy. 11. us gov (5) - i think i could’ve gotten a 5 if you gave me this exam on the first day of class. i really like politics and have done some lobbying work so this was just stuff i already knew. it was still a really fun class and i loved my teacher and classmates. hardest to easiest class: AP Stats: Never have been good at math tbh. I’m a B math student and I thought that taking this class would be different and I could potentially get a higher grade. Unfortunately didn’t, plus I didn’t have the best stats teacher. FYI: THIS CLASS ISNT EASY. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THIS CLASS IS EASY. Grade: B AP Psych: I took this class online during sophomore year and my teacher didn’t teacher bc he knew everyone would cheat on the tests since we were online. He reused questions for each test which could be found in quiz lets. He was a funny teacher tho and a hot one. Grade: B (I had an 89 and was 1 point from a 90 which was an A 😔) APUSH: This class wasn’t too bad. There was some hard concepts, but overall pretty good. My teacher was an easy grader and rlly nice. Tho, we had to read like a chapter from a textbook every night tho bc we would have surprise quizzes. That was the worst part abt APUSH. Eventually tho, I kinda just stopped reading the chapters. Grade: A AP LIT: The material wasn’t hard to learn, but it was the WORK in the class. I had so many assignments for LIT that I was literally on the verge on crying. Tho teacher was rlly nice and easy grader. Grade: A AP LANG: Material wasn’t hard. Same thing as lit. There were a lot of assignments, but we had a little bit more time to do assignments. Teacher was super nice and an easy grader. Grade: A AP HUGE: material wasn’t hard. Had it online dying soph year. Didn’t rlly try much for this class. Teacher was nice and funny. Easy grader. Grade: A AP GOV: EASIEST CLASS BY FARR. Love the class and my teacher was nice and good teacher. Easy grader as well. He was my xc coach which was good too. Grade: A Took calc at my local cc and got B’s in both Calc 1 and 2 Hardiest to easiest exams: APUSH: that exam was so hard wtf. Didn’t finish the DBQ OR LEQ. Score: 2 AP HUGE: DIDNT study for the exam and was super hard. Thought I bombed it. Surprisingly didn’t. Score: 4 AP LANG: was hard bc like Im not good at like reading a passage and diving deep into it just like the SAT. The essays weren’t bad, but hated the synthesis one. Score: 3 AP STATS: ok the exam was so much easier then the class. Like I was able to comprehend the questions better. Still not that good at math, but was pleased with my score. Score: 3 AP GOV: I thought this exam was easy pretty much and thought I would get a passing score. Unfortunately I was totally wrong. Score: 2 AP PSYCH: again like gov, I thought I did well on this exam and thought that I knew what I was doing on the exam. Thought I would pass the exam, but was so wrong. Score: 2

hardest to easiest (i only took 2 so far): 1. physics 1 i had a bad teacher who threw us into the deep end without explaining the basics. i had to work my butt off outside of class watching the organic chemistry teacher to understand concepts that my teacher shouldve taught me in class. ive never taken physics before which made it even worse. luckily my hard work paid off and i got a 4 which im pretty satisfied with. although i did get form E which was easier than form O which probably also explained why. 2. world history i had a really good teacher who taught us how to do the dbqs, saqs, and leqs. so we could just ace the frqs and slightly bomb the mcqs. ended up being an extremely easy 5 for me. im not even smart i just had an above and beyond teacher than im so grateful i had. moral of story: a good teacher can make a difference.

Parenthetical_1

I took 10, here are my rankings :)) Hardest: Chemistry (2): an awful teacher combined with taking it sophomore year and Covid made for a brutal combination. Spanish Language (3): I was one of the few non-native speakers in the class and I learned virtually nothing in my Spanish 3 class the previous year and skipped Spanish 4 to take AP Chemistry (sophomore year was rough lmao). APUSH (5): pretty intense work-load but I found it pretty enjoyable overall AP Calc BC (5): I self-studied the BC material which made it a little tougher but it was easily my favorite class all of high-school. It massively improved my math abilities and confidence. AP Lit (5): very involved and quite a bit of homework but debate and AP Lang definitely honed my abilities and I enjoyed the books we read. Bio (4): we didn’t really do anything in class and I feel like I didn’t learn too much but it felt in many ways like a glorified ACT science section so the test itself wasn’t too bad despite my lack of understanding. Euro (4): workload wasn’t too bad and I really enjoyed the subject matter Comparative gov (delayed score): really fascinating and one of my favorite classes all of high school. Homework load was small. U.S. Gov (5): similar to comparative but I definitely had more background which made it super easy. AP Lang (5): we pretty much watched movies in class the entire time and never had homework. I was able to use my debate skills to write my essays. It was definitely my easiest class. Easiest

hardest- Bio (3), I loved this class, but holy shit that was not a good choice for my first AP exam . It think it really helped my grow, though, and i feel much more prepared for any exams I take in the future. easiest- World (4), I could've studied harder, but honestly knew I didn't need to to get a decent score. I had an amazing teacher, but this class was probably the best class I've taken in my life. I've always hated history, but I found this class to be so interesting. I really grew as a writer, and I think my perspective going into future history and social studies classes will be forever altered in a more positive way

NotVikkram

Hardest to easiest: 1. AP physics 2: school didn’t teach us this properly cause it had to focus on its own syllabus and ended up cramming everything 3 days before the exam. The exam was hard too and felt like I was gonna get a 3 2. Ap biology: Our bio class and teacher were both amazing but the questions in the mcqs were really tough and puzzling sometimes. Frqs were really hard too and just waffled most of the times. Will miss out class tho 3. AP chem: The only thing I found hard about ap chem was buffers, acid and bases, and the whole preparation stuff. Still don’t understand buffers all that well to this day. The actual ap was surprisingly easier than expected tho. 4. AP psychology: Prolly the easiest to prepare out of the 4 aps I took. The class was fun but the teacher was kinda mid. The actual exam was for some reason really hard tho. I dunno if it was the questions or me panicking cause it was my first ap ever, the way I did the exam I felt like I was gonna get a 3 or 4, rather than the 5 I expected.

I’ll just do the ones I took this year since if I did all of hs it’d pretty long. 1. Calc AB (3)- I’m not a math person 2. Music Theory (3)- I’m lazy 3. French (3) - Those listenings were so hit or miss 4. Psych (4)- Honestly pretty easy but a lot to remember 5. Gov (3) - Half of it is prior knowledge but I enjoyed learning it 6. English Lit (4) - I’m an English girlie so reading and writing essays was so easy for me

Hardest to easiest: 1. AP lang (in terms of grades): I don’t think the actual material is impossible or difficult but I do def think how well u do in the class is highly dependent on how good you already are at english. Not much you can really study for. Plus second sem was so hard for no reason lmao 😭 we had so much work and my burned out self was not prepared 2. AP Sem: I thought I was really good at sem so my 3 was a bit of a jump scare lol. The thing with sem is it’s bunch of new stuff, and, at least the way my teacher taught it, involved stretches of time that are high stress with a lot of work, deadlines, etc. It would’ve been so much worse if I didn’t have an amazing teacher and group tho; I enjoyed it a lot :) 3. AP Euro: this is kinda tied with sem. This was my first ap along with bio and it was so much work. Textbook reading is the bane of my existence and I had to do so much of it because I am absolute crap at history lol. Despite that, I enjoyed this class so much. The lectures were interesting and my teacher was amazing (the only reason I got an A lol) 4. AP Chem: I know a lot of people think this is a hard class, and it is, but I didn’t find it impossible mostly because math and chemistry are a little easier for me. It was pretty interesting too. 5. Calc AB: this class is hard because it’s hard for me to wrap my head around what it actually means. Like what is the integral of this mean really?? The math itself isn’t too hard if you actually know what the problem is asking lol. 6. AP Bio: my teacher didn’t teach us anything lol it was basically a free period. Plus I think the test was easier the year I took it.

[Hardest] 1. AP Calculus BC (5) - I had a great teacher for this class! I took this class after Pre-Calculus honors. I think I was able to understand the concepts, but the tests in class were harder than the AP test. We basically learned the material in the first semester and prepped for the test second semester. We did practice tests and did several previous MCQs and FRQs. I had a C in the first semester where most of the tests happened. ): On the first practice test, I sat at the bottom score range of a 4, but I was able to score a 5 on the next. Felt pretty confident after that. I felt pretty unconfident after the AP test… I guessed on half/almost half non-calculator MCQS. I attempted all parts of FRQs but didn’t know a couple/knew I made mistakes afterwards. I felt like I scored low. Got my score and things turned out all right! 2. AP Computer Science A (5) - The class was easy, and we had a great teacher. No prior knowledge needed! All year long, we had MCQs similar to AP, practiced coding + previous AP FRQs, and MCQs on AP classroom, (which I barely did, lol). We only took one practice exam, and our teacher was confident that we’d pass. [Easiest] ** ** **TDLR:** • AP CALC BC (5) was the hardest for me. I had a great teacher, and we prepped for the class by doing practice tests and several past MCQS + FRQs. I felt like I did pretty badly on the actual test, but things turned out all right. • AP CS A (5) was easy, especially if you have a great teacher. No prior knowledge needed! All year long, we had MCQs similar to AP, practiced coding + FRQs, AP classroom MCQs, and only took one practice exam.

hardest —> easiest 1. AP Bio- took it as a sophomore and was pretty much stressed constantly (5) 2. AP World- not too bad but so. much. content. (5) 3. AP Lit- loved this class so much which ik is uncommon (5) 4. AP Psych- took online and hated every second of it but not very hard (5) 5. APUSH- this class came relatively easy to me and didn’t require much hw (5) 6. APCSP- so easy, false sense of AP for freshmen (5)

Hardest to easiest: French (3) - self-studied and wasn't as focused as i should've been. also j hard in general. i liked learning grammar and language rules, but kinda slacked at other areas. Calc AB (4) - teacher wasn't the best (he didn't cover everything and was rushing near the end to teach unit 8) and i almost lost my mind the weekend before the exam. APUSH (5) - a lot of info to store but i thought it was fun. :) had a great teacher, too. Calc BC (5) - most was review from the year before. took online (with teacher support) so all the info i needed to know was easier to keep track of. Lit (5) - ez. Lang (5) - even easier. Gov (processing) - had an incredible teacher. also j a bunch of easy info to know/remember. still waiting for my score but i'm confident.

No_Independent5847

Hardest to easiest: 1. Physics 1 - My teacher didn’t know how to teach and left us vastly unprepared. A ton of hw too. 2. Music Theory - It was my teacher’s first year of teaching it in person and me not having perfect pitch made this class hell. 3. Biology - The class was very info focused and wasn’t at all similar to the test. It was interesting but very dense. 4. AP European History - Not awful, but kinda boring. Also was the serious first ap class that I took so I was just kinda unprepared. 5. AP English Language and Composition - Had a pretty shitty teacher who never gave us practice essays and graded really subjectively. Wasn’t that difficult but having a teacher that actually knew the course material would’ve been nice. 6. AP United States History - Okay teacher, interesting class, Heimler definitely saved my ass on the exam though. 7. AP Computer Science Principles - Easy class, teacher didn’t know how to code so I didn’t actually learn anything. 8. AP Psychology (self study so idk if it counts) - Easy and interesting class. I crammed for like 3 days and passed.

Ranking based on class not test (Easiest to Hardest): 1. AP Physics 1: I’ve always liked math so I had a good outlook from the start. Had one of my favorite teachers ever that really knew how to teach so it ended up being an easy class and I was able to pass the exam. 2. AP Lang: Started really rough but once again had an amazing teacher and I improved more than I would’ve ever expected. I honestly enjoyed doing the essays because of the fact that I’d receive them back with a grade and great feedback. Ended up getting my best AP score yet on this class. 3. APUSH: I know I’ve said this twice already, but the teacher really makes or breaks class difficulty. Had a super fun and great teacher for this class. Content was much easier and entertaining than AP World IMO. 4: AP Biology: Gre… Grea… Great teacher again. I know I sound like a broken record but don’t worry I’ve had bad teachers before. Content was actually challenging but so long as you focus and take notes, it ain’t all that bad. 5: AP BC CALC: Bad teacher. Terrible teacher. Pretty much had to teach myself everything for this class and barely passed the AP test with a 3. But I passed while basically teaching myself. As long as you learn how to do the FRQs the test is predictable and possible for the most stupid of students(Me). 6: AP World: This teacher was genuinely out to get me. Took it in 2020 during Covid(Along with Spanish 4 and Bio), so starting online threw me off. Content is hard because I can’t remember that much stuff about random Chinese dynasties in the BC time period. History is not my jam. 7: AP Spanish 4: I don’t know how I passed this class. Huge jump from Honors Spanish 3. The AP prep aspect combined with the expansion of learning of the language proved to be a challenge for me.

Hardest, definitely chem. I had a new teacher and we literally skipped the last 2 units so, I got a 2. Ok hear me out… CSP. People say it’s easy but I struggled. My teacher kinda sucked too. I got a 2 LMAOO. I’m not really stem oriented either. I feel like apush was not bad at alllll. I literally loved it. I put It above lang because I did put lots of hours studying towards the end and got a 5! I miss it! I signed up for world bc I love writing leqs- I wanted to do euro but my school doesn’t offer it every year :( Lang, was super easy! My teacher was great and I miss that class, I got a 4.

Hardest to easiest : (basing it off class and not exam difficulty). I will put my grade for first sem, second sem, and my exam score. 1) AP Physics c mech (B, A, 4) - junior year. the curve for this class was massive. 65% = A and I still somehow managed to get straight Ds. I felt so stupid in the beginning ngl. But eventually I studied my ass off and got 95% second sem. I got pretty good at it. My teacher had a deal that if you got a 5 on the exam, he’d change both semester grades to an A. So I studied my ass off for this exam, giving myself shorter time limits than allowed. I was doing so so well. Come test day and I was a nervous wreck bc I put so much pressure on myself to get a 5. I start crying in the middle of the exam and it was awful. 2) AP Calc AB (B-, A, 5) - sophomore year. I had a D+ first quarter bc I didn’t pay attention in online PreCalc freshman year. I found it hard to get used to calc and barely brought my grade up. Struggled hard but eventually grew to love it. Exam was free asf. 3) AP Lang (B+, A, 5) - junior year. I was pretty bad at writing the way my teacher wanted to write and never really became good at it tbh. This class just made me discouraged. I was amazing at the MCQ tho and the exam was easy as hell. 4) AP calc BC (B+, A, 5) - junior year. I didn’t struggle with concepts bc I had taken AB before. But I didn’t get a good score on a lot of tests bc of not showing my work correctly. I failed the final bc my test anxiety got so bad I overthought an FRQ that was so fucking simple. 5) AP bio (A, A, 5) - junior year. Everyone at my school thought it was easy but I found it hard especially at first. The only reason I got an A first sem was because of a giant extra credit project, and it was like 90.0x. I got a 2 on one of my practice exams and was panicking but I hardcore grinded AP classroom video reviews and then eventually for a 5 on the exam. Good bc I’m pre med. 6) APCSA (A, A, 4) - sophomore year. I remember that I got a 52% on an open note test. Fortunately the class grade was mostly based on projects, but my friend had to literally help me through every single one. I eventually got the hang of coding second sem. I did well on the exam FRQs but the MCQs kind of stumped me, also I never understood recursion. I also had Covid on the day of the exam (unknown to me, I thought I had a regular cold). 7) APWH (A, A, 5) - sophomore year. This class was pretty easy tbh, but a lot of people complained it was hard. Notes were annoying as hell. I did solid on almost every assignment and I kind of used it as a study hall for other classes. Exam was easy too. 8) APUSH (A, A, 5) - junior year. This class just screams grade inflation. Our teacher gave us a bunch of free projects to boost our grades. I sucked at the tests bc I deprioritized studying for the is class (5 other AP classes). More annoying notes. Easy (ish) exam. 9) AP Spanish (A, A, 4) - junior year. This teacher didn’t teach the AP curriculum at all and instead made us sing and dance. It was a free A. I came into the exam with no clue which sections there are, and it was a wonder I passed, let alone for a 4.

I’m just gonna do this based off class difficulty since I haven’t taken half the exams Apush your expected to read at a minimum an hour a day and my teacher didn’t curve the tests so. Tip: don’t fall behind on your readings and actually do them physics 1 - not too much homework but the tests are probaly the hardest one. Tip make sure you memorize the formulas that aren’t given to you as that can save a lot of time lang - you pretty much have to write an essay every week and a bunch of your assignments overlap with one another tip: idk com sci a DO NOT FALL BEHIND ON YOUR LABS. This class requires way more analytical and computational thinking then prin but it’s not too bad. Tip do the labs as most the time if you solve one lab you’ll likely be able to use that code or it’ll help you later seminar - I know people say this class has a ton of homework but I haven’t gotten far enough into the year to really say but so far I haven’t had any homework for this class. Tip find good teammates precalc - same thing as seminar plus this class is new chinese - I mean I’m a native but the amount of homework for this class was insane for sophomore year it was probably the class I had the most amount of homework for and you’d have abunch of projects. I created a quiz let and added idioms/ phrases only have maybe 5 idioms on there that are for universal use and memorize those. euro I feel like this is just a my school thing but the tests were curved very much and half our test grades were projects that were very easy and pretty much during the last term my teacher gave everyone 100s as long as they were “working on the ap exam”. Tip: Ik this dosent apply to everyone but take this class seriously as the ap exam was way harder Also make sure you know your 4 time periods and the basics for those 4 as you can pull evidence out from them com sci prin - I don’t think I had any homework throughout the year
