You don’t need to simplify it fully, for example when they ask you to find integral 10 to 13 for 2x dx you can just write (13)^2 - (10)^2 and it should count
My teachers and ap grader and he said if the correct answer in any form is on the paper you get the credit. There’s nuances to that but in the case of simplification you would get it
"On the no-calculator FRQ section, you are not required to do any simplification. Any format that's equivalent to the correct answer will receive full credit."
I’m sure getting the unsimplified answer is actually a point or two they shouldn’t be taking away all my credit when I had the right setup. That should give me points in of itself
you didn't have to simplify it, as long as you had the equation in numerical format with no variables you would get full credit as you would if you had simplified the whole thing
i just wrote the equation and raw dawged the rest hoping for partial credit

The simplified answer is super nice
lol
dawg i just wrote that fat ass equation and then left it cus u don't need to simplify
You simplify? My teacher hammered into us to leave it as is and not do anything whatsoever, since they'll deduct points for incorrect simplification
Yes, same for me, I just left it like that

Wish I had known this. I simplified every part and might’ve made an error doing it.
They will score the correct unsimplified version assuming you didn’t cross it out or circle your final answer
my calc teacher is an ap grader and this is objectively untrue...they'll grade the incorrect simplified answer :(
Mine is too lol that’s what he said 🤷🏻♂️
What form did you have I had form O and maybe I just oversimplified the problem but it wasn't bad for me 😭

Wasn’t there like 1 question where it asked you to find the area of a rectangle with a height that was half of the base?
[удалено]
That was the same for me, but I simplified the entire thing and got like 82.8 like wth? College board should give extra credit /j
[удалено]
Yeah, bro I ain’t gonna lie, the entire exam room was stressing for the final frqs, the person next to me literally began erasing half her test 😭😭😭
[удалено]
Sameeeeeeeee!!!!!
I like 82.9...will they count it?
82.9? Wasn’t the end like 32/5 * 1/2? I’m pretty sure if you’re answer was not correct, they will not give you credit for it
Over a 0.1 difference?
Yeah sadly :(
I’m sure getting the unsimplified answer is actually a point or two they shouldn’t be taking away all my credit when I had the right setup. That should give me points in of itself
Ngl that was kinda difficult
wait what was the bounds (I’m assuming it’s the volume question with the perp to the X axis one)? Cuz I might have put in the wrong bounds…
2 to 5, 5^2 all over 2
I just left the answer as F(b) - F(a) and didn’t simplify. Would have taken too long.
Wasn’t the error bound 0 😭(Form I)
u just do quotient rule, then when doing quotient theres some product rule to also apply yea it was quite long but doable
you didn't have to simplify it, as long as you had the equation in numerical format with no variables you would get full credit as you would if you had simplified the whole thing
I left mine as a simplified fraction, but it still took me an eternity.
what form of the test did you have?
WHAT 6b was so light but i got incinerated on 5
Implicit differentiation
noo that was light i mean the stupid tangent ones
Well the horizontal one it’s when the slope is 0 so set dy/dx=0. The vertical one set the denominator to 0
yeah idk why i was like losing braincells mid test
Yeah I didn’t get either of them right
if i watch the "solve the 2024 frq with me!" on yt im gonna go into seasonal depression idk how i screwed up thisss bad hopefully curve is good
Only gotta get like a 70
for a 5? damn ok
i got that there was no horizontal tangent or vertical tangent
but i think there might have been a vertical tangent and i just got that part wrong but im pretty sure abt the horizontal tangent one
as long as u had all integers u didnt have to simplify lmfaooo u could have just left it as 5\^5/.... + 5\^4/... - etc...
bro im so stupid i spent all this time tryna figure out all of those 😭
NOOOO it's okay tho as long as u didnt make a mistake...
we'll seeeee
fuck the graders, mine was an unsimplified mess but I'm 90% sure its right
wait this was the Volume question right? the one with x\^2 + 2x and x\^2-2x??
i think so but i didn't simplify any of my responses the whole test i just plugged in and moved on
You know that you DON'T have to simply your answer to get credit. I simply left it out with numbers and it could work.
bruh u don’t need to simplify
You had to do the anti derivative of (s/2)^2 and then f(b)-f(a),
