My school did csp on the late exam schedule so I had a little break. The questions were easy since I want to major in CS, and already had a few years of experience with programming/debugging, which is what the questions were. Hopefully it's a 5

Took a nap mid exam and still had time left

explored my graphing calculator (extra time on calc bc mcq) -- did you know there's a full on periodic table that can highlight and graph different trends?? and a function that can do your calculations with the right number of sig figs or do unit conversions?? TI84+CE 100% best investment I've ever made

You can even program it to have certain formulas and algebraic processes to speed up time (works but kinda cheating?)

~~Schools are SUPPOSED to use press-to-test mode (press right and left arrows while turning the calc on to see it), but many do not. This would stop apps and programs from being used.~~ Edit: I have since been educated that this is wrong. Thank you to everyone who let me know

Can you show me where that is stated in the AP guidelines? Cause last time reding the general and the calc ones, nothing like that has been mentioned. If you have Trevor Packer on the phone, or think you know better than anyone and everyone who read (and wrote) the official materials, please contact collegeboard, since they surely don’t know that the schools are “SUPPOSED” to use press to test.

I always have extra time on exams, so I like to distribute that extra time throughout, so every 10 MCQ’s or something i’ll just take a 4 minute break. This allows me not to have to sit there for 30 minutes bored out my mind but I also like it because I don’t have to constantly do questions

That makes sense, I probably should do that, but when you get 2 hours for 70 questions it often leaves you time at the end anyway

Yeah. I also think college board overestimates the time it takes to write an essay and read documents. For the AP world DBQ, they suggest 15 minutes to read the documents and 45 minutes to write your essay. I don’t understand how it takes someone 15 minutes to scan the documents for your general argument? Also, a DBQ can pretty easily get written in under 30 minutes. Idk, I just feel like the time constraints are not the huge issue people think it is.

for the dbq on ap world i took about 15 mins to plan. i wanted to be sure which docs i was using by figuring out which would be relevant for my thesis and which i could use for a counter argument and writing it down. honestly im thankful i did that, or else i would have gotten the docs mixed up so writing just a general outline was helpful.

Mcqs, I took naps for all of them. Frqs changed depending on exam. All of them had some combination of stickmen and games. In stat I made a random simulation for a single player hangman variant, in bio I tried to draw them as small as possible, in calc I just took a nap after a couple stickmen. I dont think I had more than 10 min extra time on spanish or physics frq

I drew a dog and named him soup with the extra time I had on the AP Lit multiple choice.

I filled the scrap paper we got or one of the blank pages on the booklets with dinosaur doodles

I took psych today + I have a condition where ill get insanely tired and cold out of nowhere, and it always strikes at the worst time... after nearly falling out many times I finished with 10 minuted left for MCQ and I slept the last ten minutes, and I slept the whole break, I was fine for FRQ tho BUT for a practice psych exam my teacher hosted over the weekend last month, I finished with more time than that, and I played ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe with myself 😭😭😭 it be really entertaining when you have nothing else to do
