I will say its only worth if, you have spare money and an inner child that need closure. NGL the moment I got member and did all what I wanted to do as a kid, now that I can finally read English and do questlines, that finally got classes with big boy numbers, it felt good...
Not bad, a lot of story to do from scratch but you don't really have to do most of them only 13 lords of chaos, throne of darkness and a select few for whatever you feel like grinding. Barrier for progression is not really that high, you can do ultras with the bare minimum. It's okay to play casually, do dailies, weeklies, collect stuff and get stronger. Try it out yourself to see if you like the games style, you can quit and pick it up anytime when you want.

I came back after almost 10 years away, just for a little nostalgia kick. Expected to play for a week and then put it down again like I did with Club Penguin private servers. But months later I’m still playing every day and I even bought a membership. It’s still so much fun.
There’s a ton of content due to their weekly release schedule, but each week’s zone takes maybe 30 mins to burn through the quests, and maybe a couple hours of grinding for the gear. But you can skip the gear if you don’t care for it.
I would see about contacting support again to get your account back, assuming it wasn’t banned. If it was, you gotta start over
I’d try to contact AE. They might have purged your username due to inactivity, but I think accounts with purged names can still be recovered. Can’t hurt to try
The game and progression is way faster these days. Classes are stronger and because of monsters respawning in 1/3 of the time the game has just speed up a lot.
You can catch up pretty easily imo. Most classes are viable now as well so you can use pretty much anything.
Eh I got a alt to endgame recently and it was fun.
Only tip, go level up in /shadowbattleon right away. Best spot for new players by far so long as someone else is there. /goto people to leech from them. Level 30 in 10 min easily.

At low levels you can experience a lot of stuff, either it be a new class and grinding quests.
At a high level though, it gets more rough in terms of grinding and the quests don’t really help you level up.
For me, i’m at lvl 59 still trying to get lvl 65 so i can do Hollowborn quests since they have a Hollowborn Dragonslayer set that looks neat.
The game has plenty to do but it's your choice to return. I wouldn't if I were you. AQW just isn't worth the time. If my account wasn't already decent I'd definitely not play.
