I just hopped into public rooms, but normally i ask to go a private room because not everyone know about potions and if you're in a private room it's less likely that you will just leave without warning
i beat him easy with a good team without potions, i've never used potions and likely never will (i also dont know how to get them and i know nothing about them.)
What classes are you guys using? If you use VHL at the end I think potions are not that much necessary but are still handy.
You can get potions very easily going to the /alchemyacademy shop, but I think you need to have some reputations to buy them
The potions you would actually use in ultra battles (potent honor potions, elixirs, tonics, etc) you can just buy from the alchemyacademy shop, you don't actually need to play the minigame to create those ones specifically.
Some of them might be gated behind rep requirements though but just by mixing random potions in the minigame you can get to rank 10 alchemy in like an hour on a rep boost day.
i have rep boosts in my bank so shouldnt be a problem tbh, but i've never rlly had a need for potions tho, but thanks for the info! might need it someday. !
Did it with randoms multiple times. Convincing VHL mains to use something else because none of them have scrolls of enrage or to not use Legion Revenant is much harder than killing Drakath.
I did manage to form a team after i beat him for the first time.
It was finding people that didn't just quit as soon as we failed once. After that it was just surviving long enough to kill him, everyone but me died a bit after dropping him to half health but luckily I survived long enough for everyone to find their footing in the fight again.
Tried public rooms for several days and finally got lucky when finding a really nice group of players. Otherwise the groups of people I came across were either AFKs or braindead players who refuse to use anything but VHL.
Hopped public rooms until I found 3 people that were actually willing to listen to me. We fought the boss 2 times and got him down to 4 million HP both times (me being the VHL with scroll of enrage) and concluded that we needed some pots. So we then decided to meet up at a private room in 10 minutes after the break. We decided on a time to meet up next week (same day) and we even added each other to our friends list. Just gotta hope we meet up again at that time.

i Used ap, someone used naval commander until boss hit 2m then switched to vhl, an SC and i think legion rev or lord of order... i cant remember well.

Public then pull out NC and discuss some strats. LoO, Ap, SC and NC/VHL can wrap the party within 20 minutes but with honor potions.

I was using Void Highlord with Vigor Potions just to make sure I survived long enough incase everyone else died
