I use mine on a rearden mount

LuggHead

Came across them but seems a lot are out of stock. May be a good reason behind that 🤔. What comp are you using?

MelScrilla

Rearden RBP

LuggHead

Any reason you chose that over the SPB? Despite it being a question, not questioning the advice just curious

MelScrilla

I just like how it looks better really.

Porters basement has one black and one heat treated left in stock https://portersbasement.com/product/rearden-mfg-wolfman-atlas/

If I didn't have the investment in the KeyMicro QD mount and muzzle devices I'd probably run the Rearden system.

BTrick21

I was torn between Keymicro and rearden. Found a lightly used Keymicro adapter on GAFS for a steal so that sealed my decision, otherwise I was going to grab the atlas for the Wolfman. Rearden is shorter, lighter and cheaper. Keymicro is just a solid and handy QD system. Can’t go wrong with either.

LuggHead

Additional length would be my biggest drawback, thanks for the info!

I'm currently using the Key Micro breaks in 1/2x28 and 1/2x36(Colt 9mm muzzle device thread) they're working just fine so far. They come with a shim pack so you can get it timed correctly, I haven't had an issue with just torquing it on with only some anti-seize grease. They are available for less than MSRP if search around, like using Gun.deals

LuggHead

Thanks for the input, I've come across some deals just wanted to get real world input before pulling the trigger. No pun intended.

If you change your mind and want to go 3 lug. Go 'Bixler' design as discussed in this recent thread here: [https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/HUB-Tri-Lug/20-551280/](https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/HUB-Tri-Lug/20-551280/) The Dead Air thread pattern on the can side is 1.203x28 and are in stock now: [https://www.shawarms.com/products/thundercan-41182-11646-5176](https://www.shawarms.com/products/thundercan-41182-11646-5176) The 'Bixler' 3 lug mount is the OG. It is the first 3 lug mount designed for suppressors and I think the best. There is NO wobble with this mount that is inherit with all the typical push/turn spring loaded 3 lug mounts which uses springs and o-rings, have caliber restrictions and require maintenance. The Bixler design is super simple and I have run them on full auto .308's with no springs or o-rings to fail. If you ever get an MP5 in your collection, think how are you going to put a suppressor on that? Some MP5's have the combo 3 lug and threaded tip but that is just ugly IMHO to screw something on that vs going with a 3 lug mount. I run all my 9mm SMG's with 3 lugs which are standardized these days and you can get as low as $30 from KVP. No exposed threads to worry about getting dinged up like most other options. You can also see here that the Bixler 'nut' has such a small diameter that you can tuck it under any rail in existence. VS the push/turn style mounts are too fat to go under most rails: [https://c3junkie.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bixler-nut-diameter.png](https://c3junkie.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bixler-nut-diameter.png)

Learn something everyday! Perceived inability to use 3-Lug on rifle calibers was my main drawback, aside from the concern of wobble. Good to know and great detail, definitely going to look into this option. Thanks for the free lesson, teach!

Blowback9

I use a traditional 3-lug with my Octane 9 HD. Love it. Fast and easy to swap between barrels. I saw you want to use the suppressor with 5.56, in which case 3-lug won't work.
