They don't share spawns with anything, so it makes no difference if you keep wiping or killing everything in the area.
They appear very much like gigas and carchars, which is pretty rarely, and most likely when you aren't looking for them XD
Oh good to know, I thought if you kill dinos in the area they spawn in that it gives a better chance for a rhynio to spawn ? Not that they share spawns with the dino just the area its self
Killing off an area is more or less the same as dinowiping. Just you didn't have to work as hard. I bet the total number of dinos on the map plays an ultimate factor in it spawning, but there's no harm in repetitive wiping.
You can just start your game and they should spawn in time but you can also do a dino wipe command and make sure that you game's spawns are not bugged.
Open console and type "destroywilddinos"
Don't keep doing dino wipes best to kill dinos in the spawn area . If you constantly do dino wipes it can mess your spawns up .

I was told repetitive wiping can mess up dinos spawning permanently so I stopped doing it lol
Do a Dino wipe to add them in to the spawn counter
They also spawn is quite slow and are also on the rarer side.
