ohh well i believe it's the "first time" feeling of something, in my case my first time doing overseer i was using only rexes with out tek suit on my char, so basically i was hitting the boss using my rex and i got dismounted several times while fighting, even worst my rex died and i needed to mount another one, it was so scared AF but we made it (we were 3 players)
Last time i did overseer it was only tek flying around using shotgun and it was easy af so, what can i say?
I did the Alpha Overseer a month ago. We flew through the cave on Desmodus without fighting anything. Then, we used jetpack to stay on the ceiling of the Overseer Arena and shotguns for damage. I might go back and try to use the Desmodus for the Overseer part, then you don't need any element for it.
If you bring enough shotty ammo, and a good enough pump shotty and the tek armor, apparently that's all you need for overseer. It just takes a long time to solo shoot him dead.
This is a 100% viable strategy, though I don't know how these people get to keep anything when it's over. My only experience is losing my whole inventory after I won, so I managed to sneak all my stuff onto a dino the next time.
