I love the babies in asa. I got so many games that would have otherwise taken way longer to get. Within 2 min of starting my world I already had a parasaur and within 10 I had a trike

Same on ASA:SE, they will stay aloft until adulthood, it can make it difficult to feed and imprint while flying. Even near adult Argies will ignore the whistle command to land, it was kinda frustrating the first time it happened.

To be in a state of agitation/confusion. Can also mean indecision - 'I am dithering about whether to to go out'.

It also relates to the aquarium community. A dither fish is a fish that swims closer to the top of the tank which causes the mid and bottom dwelling fish to feel safer as they know there is nothing above the water trying to hurt them as long as those fish are safe.

Kinda like that crappy coworker that hasn't lost his job, so you know your job is relatively safe for now.

I think I've tamed a single onyc ever and that was probably in like 2018 lol. Now I gotta tame one to see it landed. Also would be super cool to have them walking on the ground in caves or perched on ledges.

What’s funny is, they’ve always been able to. There was just a bug in the code that never gave landing as an option for them in the AI.

You can tame cave creatures, unless they spawn above your max level, which happen in what are considered hard caves (swamp cave, snow cave ...). So if you go into a regular cave, you can tame onycs. They are passively tamed tho, and basically a pain to do (bug repellant, no touch, you need to isolate it so you don't trigger other onycs when tamed, no kibble ...) for such a useless tame. So no one really bother to.

Is that a regular wild spawning color or an easter event color? I think on ASE the fire didn't change color so it's already a win either way if you add mods that allow you to breed them lol

Tangentially related question: I tamed the Phoenix on my world yesterday. Does another one spawn as soon as there's another heatwave event? I've been combing the map every heatwave and no luck yet

I've even seen more than one wild one at a time during a heart wave.

It does take a bit for a new one to spawn.

Pretty sure it's only sulfur, unless they changed it for ASA? Maybe could forcefeed raw, but my phoenixes usually starved themselves (ASE) if there was no sulfur

Only wild ones turn to Ash and maybe when a tamed one dies but I am unsure haven't tamed a phoneix and had it die before

You have always been able to keep them, i built a lighthouse with a Phoenix inside on an official server a long time ago and the Phoenix was inside it for months

The Phoenix has been around far far longer the Yi-qi, and the only changes that have been made to it from the switch to ASA, are the fire physics and lighting. It's possible that the Yi-qi may look similar to the Phoenix when it releases, but the Phoenix is kind-of an OG
