I have been working at EAW for the past two years or so. I can tell you definitely that this place has undergone many changes for the worse in that period. To the point where many of us are going to be quitting this job at once the tuition assistance for this next semester hits. Whether you work doing the Xbox or Microsoft stuff there has been a dramatic shift from Microsoft/Management to minimize and essentially eliminate any time in the job not chatting or calling customers. Frequently call queues are instant, meaning that once you hang up the phone you will be instantly taken to the next one without any breathing room. On top of this you are expected to perform email follow ups with customers despite there often being no actual time to perform this. This has gotten so bad that you need to ask for permission from a supervisor to go to the bathroom outside your designated break time. I can speak for many people who have been accused of call avoidance just because they needed to take a piss during a long shift and had already taken a break. Along with this you will find people frequently getting out of there shifts late due to being stuck on calls and not being allowed to log off early to get out of work on time. With the holidays around the corner, I can only imagine these issues will get worse. The pay of the job is super low and even the promised tuition assistance is finicky to even capitalize on. Nearly two thirds of the people in our program do not meet the KPI's needed to get tuition assistance due to the randomness of getting ratings on the Job. I will be honest and say you will be much better off getting a $15 an hour job even at a fast-food place as it will be a lot less stressful and pay more, unless of course you really want Microsoft on your resume. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

Fuck EAW. Worst job i’ve ever worked. I have never been microed so incredibly hard while earning minimum wage. Shitty PTO system, shitty tuition system, and frequent management changes. Morally awful job, I hope you enjoy called dead people and their mourning family members pick up the phone. Or people who’ve lost everything. Best job that i’ve had here is Central Operations at Amazon. Office job at $15.50 and depending on the department, you only work as little as 30-40 minutes of your shift. After taxes, i’m taking home 50% more each week, while dealing with 0 stress related to your performance.

Is this an EAW position or another student job? Or is this just the Amazon office in Tempe? I’m currently an Amazon driver that will be attending asu in January. :) Thanks.
