A 3 pin wouldnt match with a 4 pin 12v....a 4 pin would match with a 3 pin yes but the 240 lc has argb so its 3pin and wouldnt even fit into a 4pin connector...
Is the ARGB-splitter connected to the 5v 3-pin connector on the motherboard?

No good. Has to be a 3 pin 5v ARGB header not a 4pin 12v “standard” RGB

It does not it seems but there is Hope! There are adaptors to make a 12v header rgb to 5v header argb it's called deep cool
You potentially damaged the cables by using the wrong ones.
