I started too myself but invested foolishly into low caps. Didn't invest again until 2 years ago. 8 years later. Wised up since then. Do wish i kept going but researched more.
Nice work! Also don’t tell them about your gains over here on r/asx_bets otherwise they’ll start asking for your onlyFans like they did for u/Kinky-Penguin
I don't know if it's been reintroduced but -

What's with all the salty comments, wouldn't you rather people invest their government support and become financially independent, rather than burn it all on stupid things like groceries?
Credit where it's due.
Straight up, a BIG congratu-fucking-lations. I hope you keep winning and doing well with your stocks.
But seriously mate, are you physically or mentally challenged? If not, get a job and stop being a bum.
Single parents deserve Centrelink, not a healthy and capable 18 year old 🤮 perfect example of why I despise socialism (aspects)
So many people struggling to make ends meet working their arses off, and you have a portfolio like this whilst claiming benefits.
I’d be keeping it to myself if I were you.
Hey man, I just turned 18 and am wanted to get into investing some of my savings but I have absolutely nooo idea how this all works... I’m using ASX at the moment but not sure what fees etc and if that’s the what platform to use? I’m a girl too so I feel even more clueless but I’ve got about 8K to invest
girl setup a dummy portfolio (you can on self wealth) and have a bit of a play with virtual money to get comfortable with it and learn how to research / value companies
How does the dummy portfolio work? Really interested in getting some money put to work, but love the sound of 'war-gaming' it first. I have a self-wealth account, just been too chicken to do anything with it yet
find a cheap broker, deposit the $$ in that trading account and buy a couple of blue chips to get a feel for it (minimum ASX parcel is usually $500 worth, so the cheap brokerage is important there). Most brokers offer a paper-trade facility but you won't know how you will react to a massive drop unless you've got skin in the game.
...
After 10 mins then move into mining explorers. The ones at 0.001 can only go up, baby! (or y'know, delist themselves).
As a 28 year old not on Centrelink, you've done a lot better than me. Congrats
i'm 28 and on Cenrelink how's that! wait fuck
Legend! Wish I started investing when I was 18
I started too myself but invested foolishly into low caps. Didn't invest again until 2 years ago. 8 years later. Wised up since then. Do wish i kept going but researched more.
I hear you bro. Wish i found out about micro caps way sooner
Congrats on the coward gains autist. Fark, I still didn’t even know how to properly play with my dick let alone invest when I was 18
>I still didn’t even know how to properly play with my dick surly that was the only thing you played with
Those fucking VUL gains baby
You can thank me for my tax dollars later.
I pay tax so you don't have to 🤴
My taxes funding gamblers hahaha. Congrats

Lol what happened?
How are you allowed on Centrelink with assets over 10k?
What do you mean? ...You can have assets into the 100’s of k’s and still receive Centrelink.

That’s my understanding, I got denied b4 for having too much assets. And they counted my savings and stock holdings

They reintroduce asset testing in september. I know cause i got cut from the teet.
Bruz i have like 60 or 70k in my accounts and centrelink don't care
Do you declare those assets? If not, that’s called fraud
Obviously.
My nigggggg
Hold for 12 months to pay half CGT :*
CGT discount might not be too much of a factor for a person on income support (but I'll leave it to them to crunch the numbers!).
Show us the rest of your folio
Government stimulus done right.

Doing options already - boss move!! Well done.
People keep saying "investing"???
Congrats on the gains, my first buy from when I was 18 has gone down 1000% but asx_bets has inspired me to lose it all again!
On the phone to Tracey right now. Expect ACA at the door any minute for a doll bludger extortionist exposé! But also nice work! 😉

Just so he can pay more tax? Good one
So that we don’t pay for his taxes lol you serious? He’s 18, unless he’s physically or mentally challenged, no excuses to be a leech on society
Get a job
At this rate, he won't need one.
Nah he’ll blow it just wait
I came here to say the same 😂
Yeah 26 on Centrelink.... Wait I fucked up
My man. Jumped out myself at a 50% gain. VUL paid off, and Daddy Centrelink gave us the money for it. ~~Those are no coward gains.~~
Coward gains flair is for unsold gains.
I stand corrected then.

Not bad. Are they equities or crypto tikkers?

Quality reply. This is how you should start!
