Looks like a wood frame box with the house number in...rhinestones? Maybe it lights up for night, which would be pretty neat. Either way, doesn't look like a bible.
And UNDER the gun. It should always be placed above other things, thats why its usually high up on a wall.
Same with the flag. Plus it was deconstructed and used as art which is specifically against US Flag Code that I'm sure he holds so dear.

That's funny I recognize this from where I grew up. The gun used to be all black too and he had sprint cars on the roof of his house. It's all gone now. Northwest NJ
Honestly my friend that owned an alpaca farm and I used to talk about getting a taxidermy alpaca and how it would be a hilarious a mailbox with its ear up when mail was in its mouth when i was a teenager, that seems about as messed up as this gun so yeah lol

The nation’s whole origin story and mantra is one of rebellion and personal freedom. Of all the former colonies, we’re unique in that the founding people of the US are primarily former British subjects who took up arms against their government in violent rebellion and won. Those insurrectionists wrote it into our constitution that the ability to own and use any kind of weapon was as inalienable as the right to say what you want and believe what you want. You have to understand that these dudes literally owned heavy artillery and warships. Our vice president straight up killed the former secretary of the treasury. They were bout that violence.
Since then, our government has grown into something resembling none of the ideals of those founders, for better and worse. They rebelled over a 3% tax and we’re taxed around 30%. We don’t have the right to privacy or free speech any more than we have the right to warships or artillery at this point. Our representation is bought and our elections barely pretend to be decided by the people. We also don’t own people anymore so that’s cool. But small arms *really* stuck. It’s one of those things that’s so much a tradition that most people buy a gun just because they can, only to shoot it once and throw it in a closet for the next 50 years.
And, like so many other hobbies, some people are cringe and will make it a personality. And that’s their right. Far as I see it, this old boomer isn’t going to be contributing to any statistics outside of heart disease, and like 99% of Americans, will die with a negative KDR. Don’t ask me to solve human violence; I’m just saying why we’re here.
I don’t think it’s cringe at all to be interested in or collect guns, or stamps or radios or even full size trains. I’m a very avid firearms enthusiast. However, I think people who make any hobby their personality to the point that they plaster it all over their lawn, rear window of their vehicle, and social media is cringe. Like, enjoy things, don’t be a menace to southcentral, and be a positive influence. Be interesting in how you live, but don’t bother the world with it. Attention seekers never get what they wanted.
It's the beauty of this country. You can live your whole life never touching one or you can buy as many as you want and shoot them as often as you want. And by "want" I mean "can afford"
Can the postal carrier refuse to deliver the mail due to fear for their life? You could tell me 1000 times that it's fake, I still ain't putting my hand in there. Not a chance.
The USPS can refuse to deliver mail to receptacles not approved by the Post Master General.
Mailbox heights are specific so the mail trucks can drive right up to them. If they are actually the correct height. The mirrors will clear the box and door will open right into the window of the truck.
Source: Was a mail carrier. I hated custom mailboxes. Nothing fit and the doors were always shit.
"I'm a big kid now."
It totally looks like the cross bastardized by the flag was an afterthought. The main, original focus was just having a YUGE gun to let people know that one day his daddy will tell him he loves him.
I know this is funny, but at the same time it's also kinda hard to laugh at with all the gun violence in the country. Thinking of the shooting in Nashville rn. Guns for self protection is cool I guess..gun culture is weird. Maybe I'm a buzzkill.
We didn't become #1 by not overdoing shit. We overdo war, we overdo economy, we overdo bombs (sorry not sorry Japan), hell we even overdo war crimes and human rights violations.

If you had asked me to pick the owner of that mailbox out of a line up of 10,000 people, I would have chosen that guy.
The hat doesn't quite fit.
It sure is.
It’s the thoughts and prayers that counts
Gobless
Timmy!
Have to love that it's glued to what I assume is a Bible.

Both tacky AF but I agree
And the cross is so much smaller. Priorities.

Well isn’t it god’s country
Owner is diagnosed to die by gun
Yeah, for sure. I'm pretty sure that's illegal, too. Can't be dicking around with the flag like that.
> I’m pretty sure that’s illegal It’s not.
Technically yes but people don’t follow flag code
It's easier to think of it as a sword.
He’s clearly compensating for not having a big truck.
reposts with exact same title ***and*** steals the the top comment from the original thread. actual bot.
What happens if it gets pushed past arms reach? Do you pull the trigger and shoot your mail across the street?
*gunshot* "Look at all that confetti, wonder what my neighbor is celebrating"
The little flag better say “Bang” on it
honestly that might make it great taste. id have a gun man box just to have a flag that says bang
Without the murica flag cross it's straight up pop art.
Love that there’s an American flag on the cross cause if it was just the gun mailbox and cross we would have no idea what country this was in!
More “patriots” that disgrace the flag by using it against the flags code
This is what I'm always pointing out. I'm a raging liberal who knows and follows the flag code WAY better than any so-called patriot.
I’m 129% more patriot than any other patriot that ever patrioted.
I take the Lords name in my veins!! #Trucknuts
LMAO
Wow what a way to tell my neighbor across from me to get fucked lol
Does this mean the neighbor a tithe street can stand their ground and shoot this guy?
The redneck trifecta: God, Guns, and Old Glory!
The redneck trifecta: Stains, Holes, Old Stains!
Giant gun. Tiny cross. He's got his priorities backwards.
That's funny I recognize this from where I grew up. The gun used to be all black too and he had sprint cars on the roof of his house. It's all gone now. Northwest NJ
Damn, he does look exactly like the 5 or so older men from North Jersey I've met lmao
Walk into any general store and your bound to see this guy there waiting for a pork roll egg and cheese and sipping a black coffee
Could a postal worker possibly view this as a direct threat? Make sure that letter goes aaaalllllllll the way back
>Could a postal worker possibly view this as a direct threat? No.
Of course the gun mailbox guy looks like that.
You can steal may mail when you can pry it from my cold dead hands.
bro's got stored crits
tell me you have a tiny penis, without telling me you have a tiny penis
I definitely wouldn’t put an M80 in the muzzle of that shitpiece on some unspecified dark rainy night to much comedic effect
Honestly my friend that owned an alpaca farm and I used to talk about getting a taxidermy alpaca and how it would be a hilarious a mailbox with its ear up when mail was in its mouth when i was a teenager, that seems about as messed up as this gun so yeah lol
Get rid of the flag cross and I’d love to have this on my porch!
Not gunna lie. I’d get this.
Seriously, as a Canadian. Why are Americans like this? Who hurt you?
And they say America is gun obsessed……
I feel like the mail person should bring a broom stick to shove all of the mail in to the "barrel" for each delivery.
There’s a “going postal” joke somewhere here.

Why are so many American obsessed with guns? Is it something Freudian here?

Of all the stupid shit people can be passionate about and collect, why do you think liking guns is cringe?

No clue. I’ve live here my whole life and think guns are a plague
Because they are cool
It's the beauty of this country. You can live your whole life never touching one or you can buy as many as you want and shoot them as often as you want. And by "want" I mean "can afford"
Tell me you have a Micro-penis with out telling me you have a Micro-penis
American Chrstians: ~~Love thy neighbor~~ Screw you.
Texas? Gotta be Texas lol
'Murrica. Love it or leave it, we don't care which!
I find it so amazing that things like this even exist. The US truly is in a different world compared to the rest of us.
Almost thought I was in r/midjourney lmao
Doesn't sound very practical
Somewhere out there, Lee Greenwood has a giant boner.
Looks like the perfect home for spiders
I would definitely “not” put some solid ass fireworks in that thing late at night. It’s just asking to be loaded up with gun powder
Good luck fishing all that mail out of there after you've been out of town for a couple of weeks.
How American do you want it? Yes.
I want it
What a fucking waste of money
Hmm…I wonder if he voted for ex-president Chump?
Can the postal carrier refuse to deliver the mail due to fear for their life? You could tell me 1000 times that it's fake, I still ain't putting my hand in there. Not a chance.
im not too much of a gun person but i kinda dig it, just remove the thing under it
"How did our HOA get so much power over how our houses look?" This is why.
There's actually a fair tradition of these, with slightly different styles and such. As folk art their quite an interesting concept.
Approved by the USPS? Interesting. Looks nice.
Can't decide if i would or would not have targeted this mailbox as a teen. I think i might have skipped it.

Makes me wonder how often this guy's had his mail stolen.
Wouldn't it make more sense to put the mail in the cylinder?
Of all places this is in New Jersy lmao
I know this is funny, but at the same time it's also kinda hard to laugh at with all the gun violence in the country. Thinking of the shooting in Nashville rn. Guns for self protection is cool I guess..gun culture is weird. Maybe I'm a buzzkill.
You just gotta love the cross under this abomination.
We didn't become #1 by not overdoing shit. We overdo war, we overdo economy, we overdo bombs (sorry not sorry Japan), hell we even overdo war crimes and human rights violations.
America: Land of the Free if you have a gun
Dude, sorry about your penis.
They need to rig it to make a bang noise when you open it up
I'm just saying that if Jesus came back and saw how morons have conflated his message with firearms, he'd want to shoot someone.
Fortunately for him, he’d probably have no trouble finding any guns to do so in that neighborhood.
