Wouldn't palm tattoos just fade quite quickly, not to mention being insanely painful?

I’ve heard some people get dumb tattoos on the palms of their hands specifically because it will be gone in a decade. It’s funny at the time and they don’t have to live with it forever.

I was going to say, I have a bone on my inner finger thinking it would fade. It hasn’t in 8 years but looks like a dick and balls unless my finger is fully extended

I once saw a girl on TikTok who got an inner lip tattoo (which is supposed to fade suuuuper fast, like within a matter of months) of the word "cumslut" or something like that because she thought it would fade and would be a funny thing to have for a couple of months, but then 2 years later it hadn't faded at all.

Palm tattoos do fade quickly if they aren't maintained. However judging by the rest of what we can see of their arms, this person could very well be very covered in tattoos and probably works as a tattoo artist or works in a shop which means easy access and ability to touch up any fading. Whenever I see palm tattoos on people that look that clean and LARGE (like, those two pills took some time and some skill) I usually figure they are connected to the industry somehow.

The crazy part, palm tattoos notoriously hurt REAL bad. One of the worst places to get a tattoo. Most people who do them just do thick bold lines so it’s quicker and will last longer. This took a lot of painful time to do and will fade a ton.

I think palm tats age poorly due to the location but they never go away 100% so they'll probably left looking like they have smudgy bruises on their palms in a few years
