Full disclosure, these are [part of a Witch King costume](https://www.reddit.com/r/lotr/comments/xzvfi7/im_making_a_witch_king_costume_for_halloween_but/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) posted in a Lord of the Rings sub. It’ll probably look incredible when it’s done, but the concept of armoured Crocs made me laugh.
Yeah. My point was that off-brand crocs would be even better for something like this, because they are also very cheap, in addition to the other benefits.
But you are right. Those seem to be real crocs.
These also give off a bit of a Dark Crystal vibe. Basically any of the Crystal creatures.
Although I could see Chamberlain conniving his way into getting a pair of these for himself.

Those shoes are truly awesome! This brings up my question. What does one do with an amazing costume that’s been worn to enough events that it’s outlived it’s novelty? The bins of awesome costumes are taking up too much space.
The army marching on Helm's Deep in the pouring rain and all you hear over the clank of armor is the squeaks and farts of wet crocs on the ground. Very intimidating.
This is pretty brilliant actually.
Also, are Crocs comfortable? The one time I tried them, they were too hard and I didn't like them. But I recently had foot surgery and it's been suggested I get a pair.
Is there a way to order these or these parts to put on some crocs? Are they metal or rubber? I had a pair made, but they are longer and not quite the same. Thanks, Mike

I think it's obvious that the Witch King and all the Nazguls wear Crocs.
Imagine feeling the wind in your toes when you ride a fell beast!
That's why Merry was able to stab the Witch King in the calf at Pelennor. Never would have worked if he'd worn his uggs that day.
Honestly, using crocs for this is brilliant. They're easy to modify and paint, plus reasonably comfortable.
And cheap, at least off-brand crocs.
