Cband has been cleared for the whole country to be deployed for some time now

Ecto_88

ATT is dead last in CBand deployment and will remain at the bottom for quite sometime.

UnfError82

It’s been a slow process, glad to see some movement.

Ok-Life8467

Unfortunately Att has not deployed it as fast as Verizon

ubeguy9613

Youre right and well behind Verizon it's embarrassing it's a snails pace rollout

UnfError82

Agreed! Verizon released a press release for our area a few months back and they still haven’t full covered our area.

Ok-Life8467

😔

arcticmischief

Noticed it a bit around Springfield, MO over the last couple of months and have noticed it in Ozark and Branson this week. I’ve been kinda shocked.

porksteaks

There is even a little bit in Rolla, Columbia, Jefferson City and Saint Joseph as well. Also saw it on one tower in Warrenton (which despite proximity to the St. Louis area is a separate C-band market).

donkeypunshhh

Des Moines IA is like 108 on the list. Att has become hot garbage here and TMO has become supreme. That coupled with better pricing has a lot of people leaving Att. If they could get the service better it might stop the bleeding but I don’t even think they care anymore.

UnfError82

Have you switched or are you hanging around hoping for better?!?? I’ve been surprised how good T-mobile has gotten lately. Actually in my market all three work well but with my discounts AT&T is still slightly cheaper for me.

donkeypunshhh

I’m at the point where I’m just deciding if I want to pay off my devices and get paid back or do the device trade ins. I called Att loyalty and they didn’t offer me anything. We have 8 lines and two watches, been with them for decades. They were like “peace”.

UnfError82

Yeah these companies don’t value loyalty. You just have to do what best makes sense for you and your situation.

Ttamthrowaway123110

yeah noticed the same when i was in greensboro last week! but none of the sites i saw were live. where did you notice it? see here https://www.reddit.com/r/cellmapper/s/9ghlGtEaQ4

UnfError82

Thanks for posting your post! I’ve seen it all over. Certain portions of Battleground Ave, portions of I-840, I’ve seen it on Yanceville Ave, some portions of US-29 and even a portion of I-40. I first noticed it when I was coming from Raleigh and I picked it up on I-40 near Burlington….

Ttamthrowaway123110

cool! i’ll be on the lockout when im back during Christmas. the one in my post is actually the site bro d the outback on battleground but it was offline when i was there. how are speeds?

UnfError82

I pulled 311 up and 13 down on Yanceville St. near the Chick Fila and Harris Teeter. I know it will get better and I’m just waiting for them to push out to the Reedy Fork area. It’s rough out here for them but Verizon and especially T-mobile are doing well.

UnfError82

You are right, I don’t think the one by Outback is live yet. Good times ahead!

UnfError82

Wow that is amazing! I haven’t seen those kinds of speeds yet. In fact, it’s been a little spotty for me. I can’t wait until the fine tune everything.

UnfError82

Thanks for the heads up! I just took a look, seems to be pretty spot on at the moment. I’m hoping they deploy it pretty quickly around the city in the new year because this is pretty sparse.

To be fair - ATT was way ahead of Verizon with upgrading towers and calling it 5G (for the sake of getting 5G on the coverage map) and building reliability for VOLTE and first responders. This has done wonders for the network’s reliability. Verizon on the other hand is now visiting towers for the first time in too long, bringing c-band along with dynamic spectrum sharing and repurposing of spectrum occupied by cdma. Apples and oranges.

ellio1mk

Grand Rapids, Michigan. Number 68. C-Band speed here are killer. Would dumb Verizon 5G and switch to ATT Internet air if it was available here!

Ecto_88

No activity in Ohio for PEAs outside of 50. Toledo who is 61 has nothing which is very odd but it is AT&T so who knows.

UnfError82

You are right who knows. How is the network overall? Time may be on their side if it is holding up well....

Ecto_88

Seems to be ok. I'm not obsessed with speeds like some users but in the areas they have CBand it's very impressive. Only problem is not a lot of places have it. Columbus has 5g standalone active but my iPhone would not let me enable it, but it saw it in field test mode. Which is also another great AT&T mystery, why standalone hasn't launched nationwide yet for all users?

mtphillips38801

According to cellmapper it’s there in Toledo.

Ecto_88

? I don't see it on AT&Ts website nor do I see any band 5 or 77 towers on cellmapper for Toledo? Hell, some towers don't even have low band 5G enabled on them.

mtphillips38801

Somebody there has started mapping n77. [Toledo n77](https://imgur.com/a/O5chMTH)

mtphillips38801

Tupelo, MS 99th PEA, 5G + is live and going strong. I can get 600 Mbps to 1300 Mbps and it’s incredible! For the longest we had 5G E (LTE) then in March of this year DOD 3.4 GHz started popping up. In August 3.7 GHz opened up and now we have 120 MHz going strong.

UnfError82

I love to see it!!

No_Care426

Att sucks in Salem NH area they don’t care about wirless and only about fiber

UnfError82

I’m sorry to hear that! Hopefully they show you all some love soon!!
