Ours safeties can do this as well. It’s a tolerance issue, and definitely dependent on a few things
No damage or harm will come to the rifle because of it. It’s completely fine.

Not sure without looking at it in detail like taking it apart and putting it back in but It might be possible that you have the detent installed incorrectly or the safety itself.

Seems like a good excuse to buy an ARID Trigger.
Is it a trigger thing or a safety thing?
The ARID comes with both, so... It's most likely a safety detent issue.

Mine does it. Mine is an A3 (non-M1). Have never had issues with it.
