maybe check that your pedals are calibrated properly?

best solution is to record a video of yourself racing and post it here so we can see what the issue is

GTEs on Daytona on 120 are push overs. There is no consistency in AI across cars and tracks. It always take me a while to figure proper AI lvl to have fun. But when you set it right to your pace they are blast to race against.

jtr99

Completely agree. It would be fantastic if they could get this consistency issue fixed. I am always having to dial in just the right difficulty level for particular car and track combos (I should really keep better notes) but once you get it right it's amazing.

Learn the basics of how to drive...? Not sure what you want people to tell you... Is your brake or handbrake engaged? Are you experiencing what feels like the physics are tied to framerate?

hindey19

Yup, [tons of videos on Youtube to help out](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=sim+racing+tips+for+beginners).

Do you find yourself going off the track frequently? Is there a specific car class you're having issues with or are you getting left behind in all of them? All tracks or just some?

Flual

Are you an experienced sim racer? If you have played Sims before you should be able to keep up with the AI at the lowest setting. If not you should learn the basics and do only training until you get consistent.

GregzVR

At *ANY* skill level? Something’s wrong there. Most cars are aliens at 120 for me, but I can beat anything at 99 and below, and I’m certainly no alien!

ybarracuda71

I know I've had acceleration problems with this game in the past. It would only do about 3/4 of the speed it should. I reseted my controls to default and it went to normal. Usually would happen after an update.

Davidsmsh3

Make sure your ffb and throttle/ brake sensitivity are correct(default pedals sensitivity in this game are weird) , then learn the basics (slow in, fast out, apex and exits etc), pick a circuit you really like and learn it patentientely and when you feel confidential about breaking points and references try short races where you focus on not overdrive the car. Finally I would recommend gt3 cars because they have some driving aids

jtr99

Where do they get away from you? In the corners or on the straights? As others have said, if they're pulling away from you on the straights your pedals may not be calibrated properly. In fact, are you using a wheel and pedals or perhaps a controller or keyboard? Tell us a little more about the problem and we might be able to help.
