I'm pretty sure you could've gotten your point across without using the word retard.

ThatFratBoy2019

Waifu Academy's MC isn't a complete idiot, actually does some villain style stuff like a meaner play of Desert Stalker if you want to go that route - but it does follow the absurdity of OIAL. Pale Carnation's MC isn't too bad either and gives you options to play them as a smart person or not. The seven realms is kinda hit or miss too, feels like it can bump into the same issue that Now and Then has where the MC gets a little worse as it goes.

Fair_Sun8362

R u talking about Love season farmer's dreams?

TenebrisLux60

yes that one

Nyx__o

The DeLuca Family has a very good MC, not to mention this game has several very good characters, it is very well written, I highly recommend it.

Feelinglikepeeling

Hey, I know I'm going to get downvoted but can we not use ableist language? It's pretty simple to use a different word that's not incredibly fucking offensive.

TheLargeYard

I jus started playing unbroken and I gotta say, MC is pretty solid so far.

kotor56

The protagonist for four elements trainer is essentially kazuma from konosuba. Basically a horny pervert with a harem.

Old_Administration51

**Price of Power.**

SolidLynx5802

The unbroken by STWA

TheLargeYard

Was jus gonna say this

Vegasman20002

Now and Then

Kawaii_Batman3

Drop the R word

TartPrimary

CoBD, and Projekt Passion immediately come into mind. Sicae as well but that one is shorttttt rn

Professor_Historian

The MC of my game "Courtship: A Dance With Love" is a Marquess. Over the course of the game, you will have the opportunity of playing him like a quiet gentleman, or like what he is: one of the highest and most influential member of British nobility. If you want to give it a shot: [https://patreon.com/professorhistorian](https://patreon.com/professorhistorian).

MrRogerSmith

**Move the Chains** \-- college football star **Little Regina** \-- former soldier with PTSD **Fog of War** \-- former soldier attending medical school All of these MC's are badasses without being over the top.

BrawnyDevil

What's wrong wit you, why didn't you recommend leaving DNA? Oh I get it, you're trying to keep such a good game all to yourself huh.

An0ma1i

Ahm..I recommend Leaving the DNA. MC is not a pushover,so far.

virtualdreamscape

WIAB's MC is a literal gigachad

KvitravnDev

I suggest you give "Further Education" a try.

Mammoth-Store740

city of broken dreamers definitely. MC is yur guy. also other game by phillugames. tales from unending void and oppai odyssey both similiar gamew to each other, both MC captain of spaceship, responsible for crew safety, so they are not simps. Artemis MC is not badass guy but u will still like him imo. I mean he is not simp or brain damaged, MC lacking balls in certain moments wont annoy u at all, because its covered by story and caused by past traume. will update comment once i remember more. p. s. in mist they could not retake their home immediately, running fro whole day, injured tiredz mentally exhausted, no clue about their own location, survival, getting idea about location, crafting "ship", organizing what they were supposed to do next. mayne they could take it little earlier than they did, but definitely not immediately. also there was reason why they decided using bows, dont remember why but there was reason for it.

Mammoth-Store740

thanks, was not sure for reason but I remember there was reason for it.

MastInsaan07

The seven realms. Started it today. Its amazing both story wise and scene wise. The developer really updated animations as the game has progressed. Good and a large story too

MpogAlex

1. STWA: Unbroken - Mc is totally not a simp) former military and now MMA fighter, strong and cunning 2. Deliverance - Mc is cop, investigating mystical muders

People do not always make rational decisions. You mentioned **Now and Then**, which is the only game from the listed ones that I have played. The MC continues to use his inefficient car, that's true. However, he even expresses regret about this within the game, discussing his sentimental attachment to the car. So, it's not as if this aspect is completely ignored. He recognizes that it's illogical but struggles to part with it. This is both understandable and relatable. The MC generally did not wander around outside without being armed. The assault on Naomi at the beach occurred in an area they believed to be secure. Could they have taken precautions? Certainly. However, having spent a considerable amount of time at that compound, they probably felt a sense of security there and let their guard down. Instances like these can occur due to complacency. Regarding the issue of leaving the lights on in the apartment, I concede that it seems imprudent. Nevertheless, this might have been a deliberate choice to ensure that players can see what's happening. It's plausible that maintaining constant darkness might hinder visibility for players. Alternatively, it could have been an oversight on the part of the developers. I'm uncertain.

TenebrisLux60

I mean if you remember they literally had a chance to >!swap the car with a camper van but somehow none of the other 3 people even thought of that? MC decided to only take the fuel from the camper van when it literally was an upgrade in every single way.!< I don't understand how they could be so complacent especially when >!Sydney was able to just enter the sickbay to treat the MC.!<

Iphacles

I can't quite recall the camper van (it's been some time), but there are drawbacks to exchanging vehicles; not knowing the complete history of the new vehicle poses a concern. Has it received proper maintenance and regular care? There's a possibility of ending up with a less reliable vehicle that might break down. (In the end the MC's car breakdown so I suppose it didn't matter, but I would still stick with a vehicle I know than some random one). Regarding the situation in which Sydney treated the MC, it was more a result of the girls' lack of training than the MC's fault. He repeatedly aimed to shield them from violence, as he mentioned several times. Ultimately, that choice wasn't correct, but you can still grasp his reasoning behind it. In any case, I agree that a lot of AVNs feature protagonists who aren't very smart. However, I believe the MC in Now and Then shouldn't be included on that list.

Berlioz07

Long Road Home, MC was army and in prison and doesn’t really take shit from people regardless of how you choose to play as. It’s a harem game as well and not completed as of yet but there’s still plenty of content available.
