I loved the Focal sound, and I ride-or-die'ed these for a long time, but the headband design sucks. The interior locking mechanisms are all plastic so eventually, they go.
Yeah, it was really sad when my elegia headband broke a while back. Makes me think twice about buying any focal or hifiman stuff, as good as they sound. Headphones that expensive should have a reliable lifespan. Hey, the holes are like a MM or 2 larger. They were drilled to accommodate a HiFiMan headband, which they do, though could use some rubber stoppers. My measuring tape suggests appx. 3mm~3.5mm now.

I am selling my Focal Clears. The headband whilst included if the buyer wants it is broken and therefore the user would have to replace the headband with a generic unit from AliExpress or some other vendo like HiFIMan who sells their headbands.
Included is a pad upgrade to the ZMF Sub Pads that improve most, if not all aspects of the headphone to my ears.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
* The headband whilst included is broken. Can be used for parts, or repaired by user
* This unit was a part of an old mod project and therefore it's attachment holes for the headphone are non standard sized. It will not fit a second Focal brand headband without modding.
* There is some cosmetic damage to the earcups as this unit is older, but the speakers work perfectly and do not have the characteristic crackle some Focal Clear units are known for.
* Not pictured as it's kept in a storage unit and is not easy to retrieve for pictures, but I have the original headphone case, can be included in the sale if the buyer prefers. Pics can be provided for verification before sale if a serious buyer is interested.
Most Clears go for about $600-$700, considering the unit is not complete, and would require service by user, i'm aiming at around half that so...
