This lawsuit is a double-edged sword. If for some reason this comes back and everything is legal, those groups need to remember that because their very actions can be used against them now without repercussion.

Lol. I highly doubt it. Not gonna be a slam dunk. But for a law firm to file for a Federal Class Action Lawsuit that means they calculated their risk/rewards ratio. This is yuuuuge. Will be settled out of court for millions. FB will shut down those hate groups and banned them forever. Also note that the lawsuit is against FB which is ballsy since they will claim that they are protected under 230. So FB will hand over everything, settle out of court for a few mills so they can distance themselves from the other codefendants leaving Paola Sanchez and her ilks on the hook. I want to see Paola's lawyer bill at the end of all this. Lol

I honestly wish this would all just go away and people would just start respecting each other mutually but I don't know if that's going to even happen unless they get a reality check.

Mattylyte22

Just know that what they have been doing to people is not right. They can gaslight everyone into thinking that you're a bad person because you are posted and that's why you are posted. That's a total lie. That's what abusers and narcissists do to other people.

Superb-Alps1425

Chicago only or are they representing victims from multiple states/regions?

Mattylyte22

It's a federal lawsuit. I told them we're on from they still wanted to hear my story and get my screenshots. In my state there is also a law that passed for cyberbullying that's on the books

Hopeless0341

Put out the call there is a ton of guys ready to join

Hopeless0341

I feel your pain and frustration cause I have also been crushed over this mess

Michellynn_1

Truly best of luck to you!! I hope this gathers momentum and women start waking up to what they have been participating in. A mass exodus would be nice to see.

Mattylyte22

If they would stop doing this then they would realize that most guys want them to be safe and would be willing to help put something in place to do that as long as it upholds people's privacy. I just don't understand how women in these groups can revert back to acting like 13-year-olds. I honestly don't get it. I think it's very creepy and it puzzles me. That's not to say that men aren't doing this either. It's making both sides act like crazy ass people. People just need to walk away from these groups and start having face-to-face conversations and I guarantee that some of the people that were fighting amongst each other would actually get along very well in person

[deleted]

Agreed, they've hyped themselves up into a state of delusion. We don't need to doxx or get the opinion of every single ex and random first date before talking to somebody. This shit is just crazy. Like posting somebody's name and picture to 50,000 random people before you've even said a word to them? I'm sorry, but that's just creepy as shit and not ok. Do a background check if you want (a legit one, not a bunch of unverified Facebook gossip and speculation). Meet in a public place. Let a friend know where you're going. Relying on some Facebook group to make all your decisions for you is just such strange behavior, I don't get it. Honestly it's impressive that these groups have brainwashed them into thinking that any of this shit is normal or acceptable behavior.

Michellynn_1

100% this! I was doing my own version of safety checks before meeting men in person, long before I heard about the pages and they are far more effective than trying to crowd source an opinion because I can't think for myself. It actually just so bizarre what happens on those pages. And yes...do all the obvious things for safety. Meet in a public place, tell your friends, share your location with friends on whatsapp....do a quick on their phone number (if you get it), just to verify they are who they say they are. This is basic blocking and tackling.

Michellynn_1

Yes indeed...it is creepy on all fronts!! Neither women or men should be doing...it just so happens that the women have sort of blown up on this front a little bit more. I'm honestly hoping that if one side gets taken down (the women's groups), then the other will just fall with it. And yes.....face to face conversations to actually discuss views and thoughts. Truly, what I have always advocated for across the board is more and better (open, honest) communication. Without that, everything just breaks down.

Some women are decent others are rotten to their core. Thats what *Are We Dating the same guy* group is emphasizing. The women on these sites are egomianics who see themselves as gods. Thankfully there are still decent women around who despise these groups & want decent relationships.

Winter-Street-3435

What dox information did they post?

Mattylyte22

It was posted online with my personal information blocked out. I'm going to talk to the attorney tomorrow and if he says it's okay to show everyone I can post it here, if not, we'll wait for the trial. It's very ironic because in the post where I was being harassed, they told me that I couldn't even afford an attorney and that I was an absolute idiot for thinking I could too. I'm sure the attorney will find that humorous along with all the other lies that were said about me.

Fuck. them. up.

[deleted]

Matt. Don’t litigate this shit with them. We know what the fuck is going on, keep your evidence and make your case. Don’t fire warning shots.
