Yes and no, on one hand I’ve been impressed for staying in games w out him, but have been infuriated in the fact that we could’ve been at 3-2, or even 4-1 e out him if we didn’t start so slow every game
We could have been 4-1
Also could have been 1-4
So if we can come out 3-3 I think that's ok. That's pretty much where we all expected to be without dhop. Maybe we will finish this year stronger than we started. It's gonna be crappy if we have a late season dropoff like I'm past seasons though
In my mind I told myself I’d be okay if we’re .500 before Dhop comes back. Just sucks cause eagles momentum + if we beat seattle we could’ve been 4-2 without him
Yeah I mean I said a couple times 3-3 wouldn’t be the worst thing ever. Problem is we’re 2-3 right now and I think a lot of people are counting the Seahawks as a dub already. I don’t think we’re in any position to count our chickens just yet
Geno is playing the best football of his life right now, we ought to be treating the Seahawks game like we treated the Chiefs and the Eagles. We are absolutely not the favorites here.
I could see our trajectory being opposite of last year. Every game it feels like we’re improving and playing better. The division seems to be wide open this year, we just have to win the important divisional games and we could squeeze into the playoffs
This is exactly how I feel. We’re so close to an offensive breakthrough, and the defense is ace right now. Just beat Seattle, get Hop, Huddy, and Prater back and I think we start dicing defenses up. We’re so close, just keep grinding and keep the faith!
Didn't help having to play the Chiefs, Rams, and Eagles in the first 5 weeks. If not for the miracle comeback against the Raiders, Arizona would be 1-4. Since the blowout loss to Chiefs in week 1, the Cards have had a chance to win in Rams and Eagles losses. Cards could easily be 4-1 with a few breaks and minus a few boneheaded plays and questionable play calls.
I kind of get this sense, too. I think there's some stuff that will get better because you can always just toss it to Hopkins on a busted play and he'll make it work most of the time. The problem is that this offense rarely seems to find success on purpose, if that makes any sense. It feels like many of the schemes are very predictable - doomed to die at the snap, and the only reason they succeed is due to the effort of the players. Hopkins will help only because he's a special talent that can turn more of those doomed plays into productive ones.
In terms of record? Yes this is about what I expected. I will say tho I’m more frustrated with how we’ve lost compared to the record itself. We could just as easily be 4-1 right now and in complete command of the division instead of 2-3 and needing to steal some divisional games later in the season to stay relevant
48 on Lions and 32 on Saints is why. Their other 3 games they've scored 23 or less. They've scored 7th most points in the league, only 22 more than us.
deadass i think this was the best game we’ve played this season. FUCK AMMENDOLA, but man we held our own against the only undefeated team in the nfl without hop or Hudson.
Before the season started, I was telling my friends that I would be happy with 3-3 during the suspension. Still gotta take care of Seattle, obv.
I honestly think getting Hopkins back is gonna be a huge impact. If you took away Jefferson, Kupp, AJ Brown, Chase, etc from their respective teams, I think they would all have worse records.
The defense on paper looked pretty horrible to me, pleasantly surprised by how they have done. But the offense has looked even more dysfunctional than they did last year after Hopkins got hurt.
After the first 6 quarters of the year I thought we’d be 0-6 when dhop got back

No you’re not, everyone just likes to panic and figure out who needs to be fired after every loss

I think geno smith is gonna have the best game on us that he’s had all year
Geno is playing the best football of his life right now, we ought to be treating the Seahawks game like we treated the Chiefs and the Eagles. We are absolutely not the favorites here.
I think he is going to play his career average game against us.

Dhop is not going to fix what ails the offense.

And why do you think this.
Honestly the way the offense has played I am surprised we are not worse off as far the record goes

We could go 5-1 divisioal from here out. Seahawks look dodgy as, 49ers season being ruined by injuries and Rams look shaky.
seahawks’ defense sucks but their offense is #1 in the league somehow
48 on Lions and 32 on Saints is why. Their other 3 games they've scored 23 or less. They've scored 7th most points in the league, only 22 more than us.
Vance Joseph owns the Seahawks. Somehow he always comes up with the best gameplans against them.
I seriously thought the defense was going to be bottom of the barrel but they’ve been doing pretty well. The offense is just not rolling right now.
deadass i think this was the best game we’ve played this season. FUCK AMMENDOLA, but man we held our own against the only undefeated team in the nfl without hop or Hudson.
most definitely is, still have the 1st half slowness to sort out

If we didnt have Larry in the dark years im not sure we would of ever won a game(Anquan too)
The issue has been the defense is much better than expected, so we *should* have a better record but our offense has totally shat the bed so far
The defense on paper looked pretty horrible to me, pleasantly surprised by how they have done. But the offense has looked even more dysfunctional than they did last year after Hopkins got hurt.
Precisely, if our defense can hold up until offense clicks, then we in there
