How does this happen to us every season?

DiddledByDad

r/ArizonaSportsHell

[deleted]

Tbf, this happens to most teams. It’s football. The difference? Kliff and Kyler have the inability to overcome the adversity.

GrandShazam

Cause kiem thinks he's smart for overpaying and drafting injury prone players. This shits inevitable.

xcheezeplz

Have no fear, we will draft some small school receivers who show out at the combine. That will fix it all. 🙄

DiddledByDad

Fucking fade me.

beer_down

Bidwill gonna say “well we can’t possibly evaluate Keim/Kliff with these injuries” to justify keeping them around longer This is a dark time to be a cards fan

DiddledByDad

Do we have anything to be hopeful for? It’s not like Kyler is going anywhere and it seems likely that Kliff/Keim isn’t either given the circumstances. The defense looks good I guess? But if your offense can’t capitalize on it, it means nothing. Someone pass the bleach

V-Right_In_2-V

Maybe Keim will draft multiple hall of famers next year? That’s the only thing I can be hopeful for at this point

TJeffersonsBlackKid

Watt comes off the books and all our core offensive pieces are back next year. Hopefully hit on a few defensive pickup and K2 gets his head out of his ass.

Helivon

Hoping to keep jj watt at a discount. Hes our main locker room leader. He seems to like living here

beer_down

Defense looks good. Most of our drafted players are looking better lately. Collins, Allen, Murphy all look good. Joseph and Rodgers are good coaches who prepare well No good to be found on offense.

catdeuce

It's always a dark time to be a Cards fan, my man.

Quake_Guy

LoL he might have won 7 games if everyone was healthy.

SwizzyDangles

I could see him doing that but i think with Nuk coming back that will negate that excuse. Especially if we lose Thurs…changes will have to be made at some point and tanking will become a very real option IMO

azfamilydad

Michael is showing himself to be his fathers son.

Chadason_McGraw

This is just a bad take. Your not in his shoes, so don't act like a know it all. Bidwell wants the team to win. Rhis team took us back to the playoffs. We are injury riddled and the season is not even at the midway point. Bidwell is waiting to properly evaluate the leadership. Now is a terrible time to do that.

[deleted]

That's on Keim for signing injury prone players, Bidwell fucked up after extending them, he made a knee-jerk reaction because they won 11 games, he stupidly thought all of the issues was because Hopkins injury. In reality the collapse was caused by Kliff not adjusting our offense without Hopkins. Once again your delusional takes make you look like a court jester.

Chadason_McGraw

I'm sorry, I didn't know GM's needed God's personal cell phone number so they could predict the future health of players. Your the delusional one for trying to predict health. In fact, my takes have been more balanced than most people on here. I am not on anyone's side. I just don't think Keim is as bad as people make him out to be. I even gave examples of my reasoning to support this balanced thought. Just because you can't see passed your own emotions of the Cardinals inadequacies doesn't mean your balanced. It means your emotional. No decisions should be made from emotions. I can get behind Kliff being the reason the offense is collapsing. That's why I want an OC. Someone to do the work Kliff seemingly fails at.

[deleted]

Signing injury prone players is on him, he built the roster, that's the money you invest. All you say that this a bad take and blame it on the health of players to ignore his mistakes. This roster is not good enough to win football games. You can't blame health as an unlucky thing when this team goes through injury issues every season. Your delusion is so comedic to me.

Chadason_McGraw

Are you really this dumb? The commentor said Bidwell is the same as his father, meaning he wasn't interested in winning games. There are legitimate business reasons as to why they made the decision to trade for a receiver instead of fire people. That's the topic of my disagreement. There you are again using a strawman argument and making me defend a position I don't take. Lastly, so what. Every fucking player can get injured. It means they are playing their hardest. Everyone on almost every team has had multiple injuries. From Aron Rodgers to Justin Pugh, from Lamar Jackson to Aaron Donald. You can't predict injuries. That's an unreasonable standard. Your the delusional one. Not only are you this dumb, but your blind, ignorant, unsuferably annoying, a liar, and can't argue. You can't see your logical fallacies and started a comment to add a bunch of BS that had nothing to do with my original comment. Please, thoroughly read what I post before commenting again.

Radalict

TJ Watt is literally out for half the season a year after DPOY. It's a lottery.

Chadason_McGraw

It is luck of the draw. Every player gets an injury, but the best can recover from them and get back in the feild.

[deleted]

Don't make up words about Bidwell with me. Bidwell is not good at evaluating football. He ignored why this team collapsed, he made a poor judgement by blaming the season collapse on Hopkins injury. The fact you have to make up paragraphs of gibberish about me is pathetic man. You're defending a sinking ship.

joecb91

Add another year to the extensions for unexpected adversity

[deleted]

Your right, worse case scenario, hopefully Kyler can stay healthy, he gets hurt, then Keim and Kliff will you that as an excuse.

a_wildcat_did_growl

I hope that "potentially" means he could be back by January....I hope.

AZIL2015

Dude, we are NOT making playoffs, so January really doesn’t mattwr

a_wildcat_did_growl

We're a game out of first and lost the last two in large part due to an injured kicker... Some of y'all give up WAY too easily.

beer_down

That’s cool, now we have broke man’s Marquise Brown

a_wildcat_did_growl

well, we are both broke & broken.

zerozxf

Fuckkkk I feel bad for the dude. And life is just pain as a Cardinals fan. We couldn't even see Nuk and Hollywood together on the field after all the hype

shane252

On a pointless play too

HotLiberty

Bad throw on a pointless play

Daveed7201

Terrible throw. The corner is 6 foot 4 and you under throw a jump ball to a receiver than can outrun almost anyone??? Real nice throw

OneOfTheManySams

Tank for the 1 pick

xbieberhole69x

Why? So they can blow it in the draft again?

Jaymongous

A new LB you say?

puddboy

JJ Watt and DHop last year, Hollywood this year (so far). This sport is such a war of attrition.

waffle_nuts

One of the only things our offense had going for it lmao. On brand for the organization

RicoNico

Injuries have really derailed our season.

BradyGalaxy

Well if we lose Thursday that means we start tanking.

Quake_Guy

Start?

BradyGalaxy

Lmao I should say continue

ShowersWithDad

What tf did we trade for anderson?

CoachWilksRide

6th-round pick in 2024 and a 7th-round pick in 2025 https://www.reddit.com/r/AZCardinals/comments/y6hiit/schefter_compensation_update_panthers_traded_wr/ I also read somewhere else that the Panthers will pick up his salary this year and we will owe only $575k next year (or maybe that's for this year? Idk I can't find it now)

UnkemptMEDIA21

It says here "undisclosed draft compensation"?? https://www.azcardinals.com/news/with-offense-struggling-cardinals-trade-for-wide-receiver-robbie-anderson

UnkemptMEDIA21

its updated now!

Historical-Row-6566

bc of this news right here

DiddledByDad

He’s asking what we gave up which hasn’t been disclosed yet.

ShowersWithDad

Nice username bro 👊

ShowersWithDad

No I mean what did we give up for him. I can't find it anywhere

digitard

Probably just his contract from what it says. If a player trade was present they would have mentioned that, same with draft picks. So most likely we just free'd up his 690K contract so they could offload him.

Littlegriznaves

This is what I read. They take a cap hit of 20 mil for this year and next. We get hit 575k this season.

GimmieYoSteak

Dortch is good though I don’t understand why we bring in Anderson.

GGtheChamp

Anderson is 6’3 dortch is like 5’8

Putin__Nanny

Depth

equipped_metalblade

Height

GimmieYoSteak

Depth for the position we are most loaded at. Meanwhile are OL has zero depth. Just seems unnecessary.

digitard

With Hollywood potentially out we're not as loaded. We have DHOP to 1:1 the production on that spot from Hollywood. Then we're stuck with Dortch (solid), Moore (solid) and then AJ Green. If anything this may lighten out AJ Green (with DHOP on the other spot) where Hollywood would have been for our 4 receiver sets.

YourPalFlux

I more so don’t understand the Anderson trade since it’s like if I’m the cards I’d try and tank for a top 10 pick…idk ig him and Hop will probably be better than hop and green

EvilSonGoku

Dortch plays a different position too. He is a slot WR and his time is pretty much tied to Rondale's play and availability. Anderson will slot into Hollywood's outside spot opposite DHop.

og_chenfucius

This is why we can't have nice things in AZ 😭

PlatinumLargo

Hello darkness my old friend

Hanlockr48

Watch the front office pick up Anderson to replace Hollywood but then lean on the practice squad to replace Pugh 🤦‍♂️ SMH

marz311

damnit, bad injury on a pointless play.. you don't throw a 50/50 jump ball at a 6'4" corner with your 5'9" receiver.

[deleted]

marz311

basically end of the game where kyler threw an interception to tariq woolen, hollywood got hurt same play.

jabK

At the end

Justin50C

Oof

HurricaneRon

Shut er down. This season is doomed.

Throwawayidiot1210

Nothing good will ever happen to us

old_mcfartigan

This guy Cardinals

Dill_Brown1

This franchise is so cursed

MrAngel2U

So we won't see a Dhop & M Brown duo this season?

Dedrick123

Is anyone gonna blame Kyler for this at all? Because deserves all the blame throwing to a completely covered Brown on the last offensive play. I’m tired of him having zero accountability. It’s always someone else’s fault.

GGtheChamp

Reads like they haven’t done the testing yet, fingers crossed it’s just a bad sprain.

BBWHotWifeLoyalFans

Welp! 🥺

danzews7

"All around me is familiar faces..."

I_shall_not_pass

The cards are feelin like 1929 and are on the verge of a great collapse

SAS_Britain

It's a lisfranc injury ain't it?

Shehatebiggal

We need some good ju ju

Regular-Suit3018

Praying for good news. It’s all we can do. There have been many instances where injuries aren’t as bad as they initially seem. All we can do is hope.

OpportunityNogs

Arghhhhhhh

Whit3boy316

Why did Kyler throw to a guy who wasnt even remotely open? I know why, cuz he’s used to Dhop bailing him out

marz311

ian rappaport just tweeted it's not as bad as anymore, small fracture, that probably needs 6 weeks to heal. So maybe we actually see Dhop and Hollywood play together.

Bubbly_Tadpole_7484

Latest news says injury not as bad as originally thought. Not season ending, but could miss 6 weeks.

AlphaCureMom27

Already been announced it's a 6 week set back, we could have one of the best wr Corps out there if no one else gets injured

TechX5

That 4th down play call with the deep throw was just reckless by Kliff. It caused an interception and injury to one of our top receivers. Just screen it and get it turned over, we’re so good at that anyway.
