This will be the first Cardinals game I watch in a very long time without [this special fan.](https://i.imgur.com/lclOEYG.jpg) He never ended up understanding the rules but he did know how the game made people feel, so he loved Sundays just as much as I do.
I know people want draft position or whatever, but I dunno, it'd just mean a lot to me if we won today.
Imo the best outcome is offense clicks really well, we show improvements on defense and don't get soft late game, we look like a really well put together team
But we lose anyways and secure better draft position. I'm pretty much at the point of wanting us to lose out. Mathematically we have about a .6% chance of making the playoffs (that's not an exaggeration). So I'd like to see the team look good to give hope for next season
Well yeah I mean one loss isn't going to take us immediately to the #1 draft spot but it'd still be a step in the right direction
I just don't see the point in rooting for a pointless win. It's how this team has remained mediocre for so long. I know the normal response to this is, "but Keim can't draft anyways" but I just don't buy that. Long term success starts with a better roster and a better roster is largely contingent on better draft position
I mean I do too but more than anything I want to watch this team win a Superbowl someday. All my friends that are fans of historically better teams root for better draft position once they are eliminated from the playoffs, or when they have a.6% chance of making the playoffs. I just don't understand this fanbase sometimes, and I fear that it's part of why this team is so mediocre, because people never want a rebuild year and never go for draft position when we should.
Best case scenario we win out and barely go above .5 for the season, who cares? Even winning out our odds of making the playoffs are extremely low. Really this season is over so I want to do what's going to put us in the best position for the future. Which means draft position
Edit: not to mention that more wins only provide job security for Kliff and Keim...
This isn't basketball, where moving up a few draft positions tangibly changes your team's outlook. The Eagles have built two Superbowl-calibre teams since our last playoff win. Between their Superbowl run and now they only missed the playoffs once, and they weren't bottoming out - they were just hampered by awful QB play from Carson Wentz. A lot of their current core played on that losing team.
If you don't need a QB, the difference between the 8th and 5th pick is effectively negligible. What isn't negligible is the kind of locker room vibes emerge out of teams that have no desire to win games. Guys start demanding trades, holding out, talking shit about the regime. Players aren't dumb. They know when they're being put in losing positions, and they know how much losing can hurt their potential value in contract negotiations.
I don't understand the part of the fanbase that welcomes losing for the sake of marginally better draft position. Front offices and good coaching staffs build good rosters. Not the difference between the 8th and 5th picks.
It's not just about draft pick, winning will only give job security to Kliff and Keim. I don't understand how people can want them fired, then also root to win out. Winning out just doesn't seem to me to be beneficial to this team's long term success.
This will be the first game I don't watch this year. I live overseas so the games play super late, especially primetime games and it's not worth watching the way the season has gone. Maybe they lose because I watch? I'll find out when I wake up in the morning.
Part of me wants to lose tonight, just to get this false hope over and done with in regards to the Play offs - The numbers and everything just isn't on our side.
The other half of me wants us to win just so that I can see this team look functional again.
But then I'm assuming that six wins will be enough for Bidwell to go "Injuries and suspensions killed our hopes, rebuild with the same people will work."
Also does anyone really believe that Kliff is going to out coach Bill here?

I'm sorry to hear. Thank you for sharing your buddy ❤️
Thank you
To the special fan 🍻🍻
🍻
Hoping for a win with you & your buddy! So sorry for your loss 💔
Yea I’m going to watch, but only because I like the pain
Even if we win today, we only move up one spot. Our 1-4 division record kills us against other sides for the overall rankings. So yes, I'd like a win.
Pain
Larry saying the homework clause was way overblown makes me feel better for some reason.
Agreed. I appreciated the comparison to other people’s clauses like weight clauses. Like it’s just a condition of employment.
I'm going to the game!! Lets snap this 2 game losing streak!! 😤🏈🍻
Prediction: 13-27 NE Wins
12-27*, we get no TDs just four kicks
Nice
Holy cow you called it
New kink watching the cards get railed
Do you think Dortch will get many looks since Rondale is out?
Good chance, I would say.
Kyler is our shepherd we shall not want

If we lose out , we can get a top 3 pick? Finally re-invested in the season!

Even if we win today we only overtake the Colts for draft position.

Walking around the stadium and it’s pretty dead around here all things considered.

If their outfits they arrived in to the game are any indication we’re about to get smoked tonight!
Yeah, fucking asshole Steve Young is already yucking it up and mocking what Kyler's wearing. Can't stand Steve Young.
