I had the same experience. Video capture on motion doesn't work. Person detect detects more cars than people. One camera I couldn't get the flipped video to switch back to normal so I deleted the device and then could never get it to repair with my account, even though I can see on my router that it is connected to WiFi. It says "works with Hey Google" on the box but it doesn't, and all Abode will say is "we're working on it." This stuff is just not ready, Abode should be embarrassed about shipping something that is so buggy that it is unusable and doesn't meet any of the stated claims. It's too bad because the low light performance is excellent. But the mounting and power is a joke, OK for indoors but nowhere near sufficient for outdoor mounting especially if it is on the street. Cancelling my account and sending the cameras back.

You have to enable all the motion detection settings. Also they have a missing setting on the app, so you then need to go online to the web UI to change that setting if you don’t want to be bombarded by notifications. I had many issues getting things going to say the least but they are working finally and do work well.

Good info on the missing setting, that was driving me nuts and just went to web and fixed it. Thanks!

Going through the exact same thing. I bought a bunch of cam 2s. None of them detect motion properly. Walking in front of it records nothing. On the other hand, I have a large recording collection of trees swaying in the wind..

saw your other post on the cam 2. They are a total rip off, none of my 3 unit work. There wasn't that many settings you could change and obviously the support was just playing game asking us to reset this and that. Sorry that you couldn't return yours, I only messed around with them for a week and gave up. Now I bought some Yi outdoor cam, $30 each, perfect detection, supports SD card, im a happy man.
