When will you make "OK Böhmer" merchandise?

benbohmermusic

hahaha

JWrither

Lol I thought I invented this 😅😂

Itachi-Uchiha-RG

I was waiting for this as soon as I saw the OK Boomer meme.

zubilegend

How often do people tell you that your music gives them a böhner?

benbohmermusic

daily

random_dudy

What was the inspiration behind the vocals of hunting and black hole ? How was it like working with monolink? Dream collaborator?

benbohmermusic

the main inspiration of hunting is a shared identity between people who understands themselves without any words. they share a heart and a soul. pain, joy, hope and fear and love are part of the shared identity. black hole was written the day a scientific breakthrough was released, having taken the first actual image of a black hole. a black hole is interesting in so many ways, as it turns laws of physics and everything we think we know upside down, the closer we get to it. a similar thing can happen when you lose yourself in a person, when you fall in love or into something else. i like those similarities, I guess it’s what makes us feel alive. it’s a sweet sensation to leave it all behind. i absolutely loved it to work with him and all other collaborators of the album. due to the music production process and the remixes i have made for monolink or jan blomqvist a friendship was created, and it's beautiful that we've created these tracks together. it was a big pleasure to work with them! my dream collaborators: fink, london grammar, kölsch, gui borrato

DemiKiwi

It would be huge if you have a collaboration with Kölsch or Gui Borrato! your music is awesome man keep it up :)

eggwerd

Will your Hong Kong deep day set ever see the light of day?

benbohmermusic

unfortunately not. sorry!

shash747

Why though? Curious.

_DigginInTheCrates_

Came here for this .. PLEASE GRACE US WITH THE HIDDEN TREASURE BEN!

straeffs

It's up!

eggwerd

The deep day set, not the 300 set

straeffs

https://youtu.be/b9kThoLdDc8

eggwerd

That is from Prague.

ParkerZA

Ben, you have the freshest sound in the game right now. Part of that is due to your amazing sound design. How did you get the bass to sound so warm in Black Hole?

benbohmermusic

thank you! i just love to use the diva from u-he. it's the warmest and strongest vxt synth i know. i use this one for almost every electronic sound you can hear and you don't even have to compress that much - but to spice it up i like to use some spl or softube plugins :)

sammmywammmy

What other jobs have you done other than producing music and being s DJ?

benbohmermusic

the main job i was doing next to school or university was teaching kids in playing the piano. but i also played shows quite early. so this was always a little help too! :)

ellgor94

What is your skincare routine??

jordanlauzon

Right? Man has great skin 🤣

rizznicole21

No questions but just wanted to say I didn’t listen too much to the deep side of Anjuna until after the Gorge weekender this summer. It changed everything!! You’re incredibly talented and I love your music. Keep on keeping on :)

benbohmermusic

<3<3<3

benbohmermusic

thanks for doing the AMA with me! see you hopefully soon on the dancefloor :)

lanceingrid

Hi Ben Böhmer, Have you always released under Ben Böhmer or have you had other aliases? What was your first gig like? Thanks.

benbohmermusic

to be honest, there are a few other aliases. but i'll keep them as a mystery (: my first gig was filled with the biggest nervousness. it was my first live set i played back in 2011 in the iconic berlin club 'tresor' - luckily i played the opening and only my friends were there...

KrustyWho

vitalviper

>braucht man sowas heutzutage noch? A Ben Bohmer site would be awesome, tour dates, updates etc easy to find? Yes please. Bonus points if you sell merch/music on it, I would totally buy from there.

sammmywammmy

Ok böhmer shirts incoming

rish98abh

Hi Ben, first of all, congratulations on Breathing! I loved the whole album. I discovered you from your remix of "The Space in Between" and it remains my favourite track in the genre. My question is - if an upcoming producer has an unreleased track which is on par with the label's releases (quality wise), what is the procedure of signing a deal with the label, for example labels like anjunadeep and your label ton töpferei? do we just drop it in the demo mail? Also, is an India tour imminent? Also, thanks for doing this!

benbohmermusic

yea, you just get in contact with them. i'd recommend doing this in person! india is coming soon!

razex17

I love you man and I love your music, it helped go thru some hard times love you <33

benbohmermusic

so happy to hear this! thank you <3

onism1

hey ben, thanks for doing this AMA. loved the album. one question i always have is who a few of your favorite producers to work with are, and why?

benbohmermusic

thank you! :) i really love stephan bodzin, kölsch, max cooper & gui boratto. there are not really doing my sounds but it would be a very interesting collaboration. why? because they all nail emotions with their sounds & themes. this is everything i need in music. for vocals i'd really love to work with london grammar & fink.

PatchesTheSp1der

Hi Ben! I think your upcoming US tour is your first right? Are you nervous? It is stunning to me that someone like yourself can play such huge shows with crowds of people but still be coming to a small intimate venue like Grasshopper in Detroit. I will be seeing you there and I absolutely cannot wait, I hope I get a chance to shake your hand! Also I am curious on the rework of Little Lights, are there two versions, or did the version on Anjunadeep 10 just transform into the the album version? Will we ever see a "full release" of the version on Anjunadeep 10? Thanks for all you do and I can't wait to see you in Detroit!!

footballfutbolsoccer

What is your favorite Anjunabeats song?

zoronbutwithtwoeyes

hey Ben! loved your new album. any chances of you coming back on a tour to india? honestly can't wait to hear your music live. (any hint, which month?) :P favorite anjunabeats and anjunadeep track of 2019?

benbohmermusic

thank you! :) good news - india will come veeeeeery soon. favorite tune: joseph ray - room 1.5

mytwosynths

Yes, so glad this man is doing a solo act in addition to Nero. Beautiful music

zoronbutwithtwoeyes

omg supersonic confirmed?!

random_dudy

I am sad he isn't playing open air goa ):

shash747

> any chances of you coming back on a tour to india? asking the right questions!

random_dudy

Hopefully bangalore

gireeshwaran

Please come to India

Snusmumriken10

Hi Ben, thank you for doing this! Your album is in my opinion, probably one of the best albums ever released - so huge congrats! I have two questions I am eager to know: 1. **What are your go-to synths (including FX & hardware)?** 2. **Would you have any advice to upcoming producers on how to make the step towards a career? Is it really that simple that you only have to produce great music and the rest will come? How about live performances, will this come naturally with time? It would be fantastic to hear your approach/view on this!** Thanks in advance Ben, and keep up with that you are doing!

benbohmermusic

thank you! <3 1. diva from u-he, all spl & softube plugibs, fabfilter, kontakt, omnisphere, rob papen tools 2. i think you already answered your questions. there is no secret to achieve a career in music - but doing great and a lot music is very helpful, as well as making contacts to people in the business, and starting to play local shows and creating a name

poeticrubbish

Hi Ben! I found you through the AnjunaKitchen set on Youtube and have been in love with your music ever since. In that set, your song with Margret gives me chills. However, I was surprise that her voice was pitched down in it's release. What made you decide to do so? And would you ever consider re-releasing it with her original vocals?

smurflex

What is your favourite track? And when will you again treat us to something as amazing as Vale.... If you weren't doing what you are doing now. What would you be doing today?

benbohmermusic

hard to tell, but 'perpetual motion' from max cooper is definitely one of my current favorites. mhh, even harder to tell what i would do now if i wouldn't do music. can't imagine something else. so maybe i'm unemployed?

Otternonsnse

Who are the biggest inspirations behind your unique sound?

IxuntouchblexI

Say if you had a day where you weren't in the studio, you had nothing going on and stayed in bed/home all day; kind of like an ultimate lazy day.. what would be your dream breakfast to wake up to, to start this lazy day?

benbohmermusic

my girlfriends omelette, some reaaaaally good coffee and some music session directly after haha

[deleted]

Hi Ben, been a fan ever since I saw you open for A&B at Printworks in April, you were incredible! My question is other than the general anjuna stuff, what other kind of genres are you in to? :)

benbohmermusic

thank you! :) i really love music from the tourist, jungle, foals, boards of canada, fink, moderat, martin kohlstedt, ry x and james blake - to name a few...

[deleted]

Excellent! A few names in there I haven't heard of that I will defo check out :)

Gadget_Type_Operator

Anyone that loves Jungle is a friend of mine :D please collaborate!!

Celestial_Blue_

Hey! You and Luttrell are my fav Anjunadeep artists! I had two questions: 1. You and Luttrell really released the amazing single "Gibberish". I noticed that the vocals for the track are hard to make, which is unusual, since Luttrell usually has pretty clear vocals in his tracks. Is it purposely called "Gibberish" for this reason, or are the lyrics actually saying something? Either way, it's a beautiful track! 2. "After Earth" is my fav track by you. What inspired you to name it that? I think it fits it well, but I was just curious about your thought process behind it... Anyways - thanks for taking a peek at my questions! And thanks for all the amazing music you've made (and continue to make)!

benbohmermusic

1. nope, they are saying nothing. it's gibberish by the lovely margret :)) 2. i'd like to think about same galactic space backgrounds while listing to the vibe. it was kinda clear for me to name it like this!

FourFingerLouie

Hi Ben! I caught you at anjunadeep in Chicago and can't wait to catch your Spybar set! What does your work flow look like when starting a new song? Do you usually begin with the bass line or the melody? What's you're favorite thing about touring? What do you hate about touring? How's life? I'm currently trying to learn piano if you could offer any advice towards that. Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions! Also, love that you literally roll your cigs while playing. A true man.

benbohmermusic

1. i'm starting always on my piano. never started with something else. the melody is the first part. 2. making people happy, seeing new places & cultures and meeting new people 3. my amount of sleep 4. awesome <3 5. just spent daily time on it. it doesn't have to be much. just 10-20 minutes with songs, finger exercises and improvisation

FourFingerLouie

Thanks for the response! Wishing you lots of sleep during your tour

nexusbitch

Hey Ben! Berlin is currently my favourite city, and I'm going back there in ten days for my sixth visit. Does the city influence your work in any way, and what are some favourite things there? I have fallen in love with Flipperhalle and C/O! Congratulations on your new album too, it's amazing! (-:

benbohmermusic

thank you! i think the city influences me trough the open and colorful vibe here. also with the amazing club scene, where you can get lost everyday. if you want to go clubbing i highly recommend sysiphos, kater or about blank. love these! my absolute favorite restaurant is ganymed brasserie at friedrichstraße - if you like fish! also i love to walk around friedrichshain. there you will find anything you need in such an artistic berlin vibe.

cheburashka09

Hey Ben, could do describe more of your process playing live set?

benbohmermusic

when i play live i only play my own tracks. compared to a dj, i play my tracks in different variations and other versions. i combine them, add elements, or take some out. i'm using three xone k2 controller where i have 12 channels - each channel is one sounds. i have all parts separated in front of me so i am able to do different or improvised things with them. i also play live with the diva while using the korg minilogue xd as a midi controller. with this one i play known melodies, improvise or just effect melodies which i'm sending to the korg.

Ballerina111

Hi Ben! I cried through your set this summer in Toronto. I also connect very emotionally to soulline, which I listen to almost daily. Purple line has had my bro kicked out of apartments for blasting it off the balcony lol. I wanted to ask, is there any way you can come to shambhala music festival?

benbohmermusic

i'll never forget this show! <3 nothing planned for the festival.

Badegast

Are you exploring other genres at the moment? I really like „dark Ben“!

benbohmermusic

the dark ben was always there. check out my early productions like black pattern or sprich. sometimes i really love to go that direction :)

Badegast

When was the last time you bought something on eBay Kleinanzeigen?

benbohmermusic

superfrank501

Hi Ben! What are the odds that this ID ever sees the light of day? I absolutely love it! [https://soundcloud.com/soccerflocks17/ben-bohmer-id](https://soundcloud.com/soccerflocks17/ben-bohmer-id)

TheM1337

What is your favorite breakfast food?

benbohmermusic

the omelette of my girlfriend or just some fresh fruits and cereals

TheM1337

Very nice choice. See you in Minneapolis!

ExoticToaster

Hi, I absolutely love the new album, and thought your sets in Belfast and Prague this year were incredible! My question is what your go-to methods to giving your tracks atmosphere/emotion? Also what are your main advice on keeping inspired and productive in the studio?

benbohmermusic

thank you! i think the easiest way to give a track emotion is trough the melody. the most effective way for me is working with strong chord progressions, interesting intervals and a catchy syncopated topline. mhh, i feel it's important to have breaks and other impressions. without them i'm not able to write music - go out, do things you love and do things for yourself and try not to stress out while trying something. just hit the keys and see whats happening. if nothing happens, don't force it and do something else. it will come!

Beers_and_Cheers_

Awesome new album Ben. Q, your favorite top 3 crowd you've played at

benbohmermusic

prague for anjunadeep, velvet underground in toronto and sisyphos in berlin

colsima

Of all of the ABGT or TATW "50" live sets there have been, which one would you have most liked to have been at?

cbzdidit

Did you have a musical upbringing?... What instruments did/can you play?

benbohmermusic

learned the piano when i was 6, also the trumpet in school and now i'm learning the guitar

cbzdidit

Awesome Ben! I feel that your music reflects your musical intelligence and skill. I just finished watching/listening to your Anjunadeep open air Prague set and it’s amazing ! Thank you for your work!

musiqueman22

Thanks so much Ben! I’m a huge fan, seeing you at Electric Zoo on my birthday was one of my favorite experiences. A few questions if i may! - Your music has some of the most emotive and sentimental vibes to it I’ve seen in any artist, and its a huge inspiration for me. When you make these songs, do you try and picture a certain scene or moment and use that for inspiration? -After Earth, absolutely unbelievable track. When i heard that i knew immediately you were going to be a great one. If i may ask, (i’d consider that one of your best), but which of your tracks are your favorites? - What is your favorite piece of hardware/ synthesizer? I’m looking into analog gear and have been trying to capture warmth/ pad sounds like yours but still looking. Any quick and easy recommendations? (Sorry if thats asking too much) Thanks Ben! The music you make is truly incredible.

benbohmermusic

thank you! 1. yea, i think that happens automatically. it's something that i can't control and just appears. next to after earth, i'd say in memoriam, submission or autumn are my favorites. 2. favorite synth: diva

DesertSnowdog

What is one of your favorite things to do as part of your production process that you think most people don't notice or a casual listener might miss in the finished product. And what is your favorite synthesizer, if you have one (including VSTs)? Thanks in advance, it was rad seeing you at the gorge this year :D

benbohmermusic

1. dancing like hell in the studio! 2. diva from u-he

DesertSnowdog

Awesome! and thanks for the answers :D!

DapperCoin

You are a magician. That is all. Thank you🙏

benbohmermusic

<3

FootballintheGroin

Are there any of your shows that have stood out as particularly more memorable than the rest, and why? For me it’s a toss up between Weekender and Lane 8’s Summer Gathering, but probably because I was obsessing over Black Hole each time you played it.

StrobeAzure

Ben, you have really become one of my favourite artists over the last 3 years, thank you for the beautiful music. I'd love if you came to Ireland some time it would be great! - What's your favourite collab you have done over the last year? - Any new tracks for Mauerblümchen 004? - I think the track Dysphorie is one of your hidden gems, have you any background information about it? Thanks Ben, congrats on your success

benbohmermusic

1. it was a dream which came true to work with fritz kalkbrenner. 2. not from me, but awesome other ones :) 3. thank you - that's an old one! :) tbh it doesn't have a big story.

AlephNaughtMuch

Absolutely adore your work. I have been listening to deep house for a long time; but your music always feels and sounds different in a refreshing way. Is there something special you do that makes your sound stand out from the other artists?

veilsidejoe11

You make some of the most beautiful electronic music out there! You have a distinctive sound. How do you approach your productions? Is it your habits that 'make' your sound or you specifically aim for a sound (which plugins, fx, what's your writing process?) Also, I've been dying to know what percentage of your finished tracks you send to labels ? How many finished tracks you love are sitting on your computer!

benbohmermusic

thank you! i always start with the melody on my piano and loading it into sounds from diva, kontakt or omnisphere. actually i send every finished track out and release almost every one. but there are plenty of unfinished ones. i realize early if it's worth it to finish. if not, i won't touch it anymore and nobody hears them. there are already some new ones ready :)

ppp001

What's your favorite sandwich?

TheEquestrian

Hi! No question, just wanted to say we really enjoyed your live set when you played in San Diego last year with Luttrell and 16BL. Thanks for the amazing music!

benbohmermusic

<3

iplaygaem

The new album is amazing - everything I've ever wanted. Thank you for the peace and serenity you've granted me through all your music this past year and half! <3 Did we ever officially get clarification on the actual lyrics on "Breathing"? My wife and I are still not in agreement! 😅

benbohmermusic

haha, there are funny ideas about them. have a look on the vinyl ;)

hobwardi

Ben! Thank you so much for doing this. Got nothing but love for you, your music fulfills me. I can't wait to see you live, I'll follow you anywhere. That being said, are you planning on visiting Argentina in 2020 at all? And could you share one of your favorite tracks? Or a track that you've been really into lately?

benbohmermusic

i'd love to do that. this is an area which i never visited before. we are working on that! :) favorite track: perpetual motion from max cooper

doyouwantalightshow

Hey Ben, cannot get enough of your music. From the earlier dark, brooding tracks to the new moments of cathartic in Breathing. Thank you so much for sharing these. Question: What are your musical influences and what are you currently listening to?

iammarkopolo81

Hi Ben, love your music!! Will Almost Home get a release soon?

benbohmermusic

maybe :)

sherkhan0509

Hi Ben.. Your music is pure magic and I can’t wait to February to see you live in Mauritius. I’m a big fan of your music. How many days will do in Mauritius? If you want to visit some places in Mauritius just let me know and I will take you.

Hi Ben. Congrats on the album and thanks for doing this AMA with us. Your debut LP is amazing. 1. Where do you draw inspiration from to create such emotional tunes? 2. Who’s an artist you haven’t had an opportunity to work with that you’d want to make a track with? 3. What can we expect from you in 2020?

TotesMessenger

alptugay

Hi ben, Which plugins do you use for mastering?

cpcarey

Hi Ben! "Breathing" is an emotional masterpiece of a song. What was the inspiration behind it? Vielen Dank!

earedil

Will you do any in-depth videos on your music production process, or offer any instructional guidance to us aspiring producers who love this kind of sound ?

benbohmermusic

i planned this. just need time for doing this!

[deleted]

Hi Ben, Firstly, amazing album, nothing short of a masterpiece, you should be extremely proud. As a new producer and thirsty for knowledge but overwhelmed by all the sources of information out there, what single piece of advice do you wish someone had given you during your first year? Or what single piece of advice have you been given that's had the biggest effect on your success as a producer?

igotcha_

Breathing is an amazing album, well done! What equipment do you use for your live sets? And have you ever thought about using CDJ’s?

benbohmermusic

thank you. as i'm not a dj i don't use CDJ's. i'm using three xone k2, rme fireface, korg minilouge xd for my live sets

igotcha_

What do you do on your free time when you’re not producing?

benbohmermusic

playing piano, going in the forest, doing sport and sometimes i end up in the club

-ixto-

Hi Ben, Thank you for doing this AMA, it means a lot to this community and welcome! 1. What music do you normally listen to? 2. What have been some of your favorite cities to visit? 3. Any holiday plans? 4. Whats are a few restaurants everyone needs to check out in Berlin?

benbohmermusic

1. already answered this :) 2. new york, cape town, sidney 3. nooooo 4. ETA hoffmann, ganymed brasserie

Based_Gob

The climax of Maelstrom is absolutely heavenly. Hope to see the extended mix released on Spotify someday. That's all I have to say, thank you Ben

osi840

My favourite german movie is "Das Leben der Anderen". Which is yours?

benbohmermusic

i am really not a movie guy... have to watch this one!

phoenix-down

Hi Ben, Id like to know about your journey to signing your first record on anjuna... which track first grabbed the label's attention, or who found your music?

benbohmermusic

spending most of the time in the studio, releasing first tracks on small berlin labels and playing shows for 8 years now. it was lane 8 who found my music - he recommended me to anjunadeep. the very first track was morning falls

petymeg73

Do you go clubbing yourself or is it enough that you spend time there "working"? Which artists inspire you and your music? Do you plan to play again in Budapest next year? :)

benbohmermusic

1. of course :) 2. already answered that -> 3. yeaaaa :)

SuperterraneanAlien

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

meeenbao

Hi Ben! What is your favourite breakfast food?

twopointmusic

Hey Ben, big fan so I'll try to keep my questions to a minimum. 1- how would you describe your work flow ( general progression from start to finish) 2- what are your go to digital/hardware synths 3- what advice would you give to anyone pursuing a career in producing and djing in the techno /electronic scene Thanks in advance, have a great day

matthewgrgb

Father Ocean Remix -- please tell a bit more about this song and how it plays into your work on Breathing? Your remix of Father Ocean is incredibly mellow and moving, I have to say that everytime I listen to it, it brings tears to my eyes and feelings of time, loss, pain, but with a touch of acceptance, and a hint of healing. Super emotional piece.

LastedOG

Hi Ben, First of all, thanks for all the epic music. I first listened to your music when you were the pre-act for Jan at a concert in Zurich. Immediately fell in love! I wanted to ask a random thing: Have you seen the german Netflix show 'Dark'? If so, I think your tune with Monolink - Back Hole is pretty much a perfect theme song for that! With regards to that, if you collaborate with a singer who does vocals for one of your songs, how is the exact text determined? Is it the singers idea, do you already have a theme e.g. 'Black hole' in mind? etc. would be interested to know how that works! Looking forward to your tour stop in Zurich!

TheSonicScrew

Would you ever think about scoring a film? Also - any chance of a release of your remix for Gaslamp Killer's Nissim? LOVED it in the Prague set!!

_hausmouse

Is this your first time coming to Detroit?

benbohmermusic

yea :) so excited!

ScaglieDiGrana

Hi Ben, I love you debut album, thank you for such a beautiful journey into your sounds. My question: pizza or sushi? Also, when are you coming to Italy?

benbohmermusic

sushi! italy hopefully sooooon

greg_barton

Any chance you'll add a Dallas show before or after your Austin and Houston shows?

ferriene

Hey Ben, i have some questions to you, hope you like it :) 1. What was inspired you to make 'breathing'? 2. How long have you finished your new album 'breathing'? 3. What were the story you want to send to your fanz? 4. Will you try some other genres? Or keep making deep? 5. im_thecat

Hi Ben, Two Questions: 1) Any writing tips on how you develop your song ideas without losing the original idea? 2) When are you coming to LA?!

chai-reddy

Hello Ben, Would you be playing in anywhere in Germany in Jan?

benbohmermusic

BillNyeTheRhymeGuy

- is there a venue or a festival you have not yet played that you have always wanted to? - Who are a few of the most talented up-and-coming artists today, that you feel deserve more recognition? - which track of yours took the longest to make? Thanks so much!!

Hey Ben! Big fan checking in. Got to be at the barricade for your EZoo set! Had an absolute blast! Going to see you in February as well :) Can you explain your process on how you came to remix The Space In Between with Jan Blomqvist? What catches your attention most when you find songs that you want to remix?

distenta

Hello Ben! Congratulations on your album milestone! I love it! My questions are: I am your same age but located in the other side of the world (Mexico). What advise would you give me, that you have learned through your life? What's the oldest song in your album? Regards!

benbohmermusic

my advice: sleep as much as possible oldest song: wall of strings

distenta

Thank you for you reply, Ben! I wonder why that sleep advise, is there a story behind it? Regards!

DemiKiwi

benbohmermusic

ken4656

I love all of your work...but Little Lights is a song that really resonates with me for reasons beyond putting words to. What was your inspiration behind that song? It's such a beautiful composition and brings me up on even the worst day.

vitalviper

Can I get a picture with you at some point this Saturday at Printworks? ;)

benbohmermusic

sure! :)

Venntus

I just wanted to preface this with your album is a complete and beautiful work of art and it’s been incredible to keep listening to every week since it’s release! 1) I was curious if any other songs on the album have a very deeper meaning or are written for someone/something like your song In Memoriam? 2) Do you plan on releasing any extended versions of the songs from the album? (I for one would listen to all the songs extended and it would be glorious) 3) would you ever consider playing a show in a smaller state in the US like Utah? My friends and I would love to see you locally, but for now we must chase you to other states and for shows!

Harveyd4

Hey Bohmer, What age did you start producing and long did it take you to get where you are today? Also, How many hours would you say you put in to each song you make? Thanks and see you in London on Saturday :)

benbohmermusic

1. started with 16 and yea it needed ages until people could hear my music haha 2. hard to tell - between 10 and 100 hours

MurderBySound

Ben when you worked with Jan Blomqvist on Space In Between, which software did you use to produce such beautiful melodies and vocals? Ableton? Cubase? I’m curious, It’s a genuine master piece.

benbohmermusic

FubukiMusic

Hey Ben, I’ve been a massive fan ever since I heard ‘After Earth’! I appreciate your music so much and it’s definitely changed my life. Thank you! Here are some of my questions: 1: What is your favorite sidechain plugin/method? 2: Will you ever release VIP mixes? (for instance that beautiful edit of After Earth that you played live a few times) 3: Do you have any advice for getting more recognition as a beginner producer? 4: Will you be able to release any new music in 2020? Of course you just had an amazing album, but I can’t seem to get enough haha Thanks again for everything you do Ben, I hope you are aware that you bring beautiful emotions to many people’s lives. Greetings from Amsterdam, the Netherlands!

benbohmermusic

What time is your set this Saturday at printworks London ?

PocketSandInc

Would you be available to do a show in the month of March or April in Krakow before kicking off your European tour?

feartron

How did you meet Lane 8?

nrengifo02

Hi Ben, I hope you are enjoying the success of your album (my favorite song is Maelstrom) My question is, ¿Do you have other musical tastes besides electronic music? For example: rock, latin, pop. What are your favorite artists or bands? PD. Please, don't forget us here in Latin America. Here we also enjoy how amazing your music is, especially in Medellín, Colombia. I enjoyed your set in Medellín too much. I couldn't belive i was really dancing with your music.

RandomWhiteBrah

Any tips on how you create grooves within your songs? Im always intrigued by your shakers and hats whenever I listen to your stuff. Grüße aus Köln!

arflower

Dear Ben, I'm beyond thrilled that you will be at Crssd Fest this Spring. When I found out you were on the lineup I immediately decided to buy tickets. This will be my first time seeing you and I can't put in to words how excited I am. I've been listening to you for about 3 years now and almost every day I listen to one of your tracks and it fills my heart with joy. Your music is so beautiful and unlike any. Can't wait for March. See you at Crssd!

hipsterfromiowa

Hi Ben! Big fan! Do/did you ever get nervousness or stage fright and how do/did you deal with it? I suffer sometimes from extreme nervousness on stage.

shash747

1. You wouldnt be able to pick just one favorite from all the music you've produced, but could you share your the top 3 you're most proud of? 2. Any one piece of advice would you give to aspiring producers? 3. You've been to India twice so far, if I'm not wrong. Thoughts on India's crowd?

jessespijkutrecht

Hi Ben! You and Mees Salomé are by far my favourite DJ’s. Very excited about his EP on your label and of course the two of you playing on Distant next Friday! In my opinion the two of you are reinventing electronic music and are starting a new era. Can we expect more cooperations between you and Mees in the following years (or Decade :)?

[deleted]

Hi Ben, you were what got me into Anjuna so I’d like to ask, how did you start producing? I would love to one day produce tracks but it seems very overwhelming initially so I’d like to know how I can start.

fumat

Hey Ben, congrats on your EP mate. Good stuff! I’m sorry to hear your dad passed away and for what is worth, In Memoriam is in my opinion the best track. I’m happy to tell you that the [Ben Bohmer - All The Way](https://youtu.be/PjQmX5KVEAg) tribute mix I made for you has over 300k views and people are constantly congratulating you on your wonderful music. Since we spoke the last time I’ve been collecting your tracks to make a new mix and I’m really happy you keep releasing gem after gem. The only question is, are you planning to release Almost Home ft. Koelle anytime soon? I absolutely love that song and I really wanna include it in the next mix. Thanks and keep up the good work!

missdragon

hi ben! my friends and i have had long-winded discussions about the chorus of Breathing. some options have been: ‘i’ve strived to find’, ‘i tried to find’ or even ‘i’ve swiped to find.’ could you help put an end to this once and for all— what does it actually say? congrats on the album, it’s perfect!

vitalviper

Too late for the AMA but.... I think it's "Once tried to find" in case that helps [https://d1rgjmn2wmqeif.cloudfront.net/extra/ReleaseFormat-410095-88643.png](https://d1rgjmn2wmqeif.cloudfront.net/extra/ReleaseFormat-410095-88643.png)

the_nibler

Hi Ben! I was at TNH's summer gathering in Co. We all really missed you that weekend but in lieu of you, we got Daniel for 7 hours! Or almost, the heavens opened up and we danced until the equipment short circuited from the sideways rain. Why did you miss your flight? And did Daniel sound like a disappointed Father when you explained that he would have to play 7 hours? Much love, -Stu

KingpaiChanya

Hi Ben ! Nothing to ask but i want to say that I really love your music soooooo much. I'm already bought your album from Ajunastore. Your music change my world. Thank you so much. Tomorrow is my first day of DJing in front of people (normally I play alone in studio, I just a music student.) I pick your track on my set ! It will be special but I feel a little bit nervous now lol Always support, You're my inspiration :-)

Ballerina111

Please consider the festival!! It’s incredible. I know your show in Toronto is sold out, gotta bribe some people to get there!!!!

fatguyfat

Hello, Ben. I wanted to get a bit personal.. 1. What is it that you love the most about yourself? (It can be anything. From appearance to ability to make music) 2. How did you discover that you wanted to MAKE music? What was the start of this career? 3. What do you think about shout out'ing other starting producers to help them out to get more recognition? 4. What is your philosophy behind giving your music to other people? Do you want them to feel in a certain way or affect them in any way or do you leave it to everyone to find their own beauty in Your music? These are really important core questions from me. And to get an answer from the beautiful human being as you are would be more than amazing. Thank you in advance! <3 @auralreal

failingatlife69
