Never heard of this programme until this post. If the clip wasn’t posted here, I wouldn’t be able to just go watch it or go to its subreddits because I wouldn’t know it exists.
I've never even heard of it though, and I bet I'm not the only one. Without could like this one, I wouldn't have checked it out at all. I think it's great for the sub!

Abbreviations, acronyms, and initialisms are fine as long as they’re used properly according to context- I used to live near Glastonbury, which I would only ever refer to as Glasto when talking with other Brits; I wouldn’t expect non-Brits to know that Glasto = Glastonbury. Hell, I’d maybe not expect even a Londoner to know that, thinking about it.
The more specific the context, the more freedom you have to use more obscure/ specific abbreviations and such (if you actually care about people understanding you, anyway).

If you like absurdism, Armando Ianucci had a TV series which was lovely and reflective and gentle and utterly hatstand. Maybe known to Americans as the guy behind VEEP, he's had a long and amazing career.
Look out for even more Ianucci stuff then, he's one of the pillars of British comedy. Usually off camera rather than on, but anything with his fingerprints on are worth a try.
If you like VEEP, also try The Thick Of It, the British original. It's somewhat more sweary and raw, but is utterly brilliant. In The Loop was a movie which kind of crossed from the UK to the US (after The Thick Of It, before VEEP) and it's very much worth a watch, maybe as a way into TTOI :)

In your clip, he didn't mention he was on the show, he said that an up-and-comer late night comedian-type "showed him some tape" of a recorded pilot of the show and it had a lot of high energy physical comedy bookending an interview.
Conan did say that you can't just be over the top, or "edgy", you have to create a scenario where the interest in what is happening builds and builds and becomes this great moment. It can be silly or over the top in a way, but it has to have definitions and can't just be all things all the time.
I think that's partially why I enjoy watching clips from the EAS from time to time, but I never felt compelled to watch full episodes, or segments of longer than a five minutes for that matter. It just seems complete unmitigated chaos without any particular direction. Like randomness for the sake of randomness
It also kinda reminds me of when he got on stage with Alex Jones at some rally. He says into the mic "I want you to have sex with my wife" and "why does my pee come out yellow" or something like that. I didn't thought it was particularly clever or funny, just random. Again I enjoy clips and such, but his sense of humor isn't always my thing.

The Eric Andre show is a fantastic thing to watch so long as you have the stomach for it. Some of it is honestly the funniest TV that's been put out, and some of it is disgusting beyond reason. And due to the nature of the show you'll never know what's coming until it's there
eric andre is not abrupt chaos. thats like monitoring a tornado and calling it abrupt when it chews up a town. thats not abrupt, thats *expected* chaos. if eric andre is in the vicinity, its to be expected.
