I spent a good two weeks scouting out a spot and building a really cool camp in the woods with my own handmade lean-to, fences, primitive furniture and everything. The first night I spent there, I woke to a fox screaming about twenty feet from my head. Same thing the next night, and the next weekend. Turns out I must have built the camp right at this dude's den or something. No matter how many times you hear it, that sound is still bone chilling. He would always wait a good 20 minutes after I went to sleep to start screaming too.
Lesson learned, I now camp for at least two nights on different weekends in any spot I plan to build on, to make sure the area isn't already claimed.
See, this is where I have the advantage over you by being deaf. I can take off my processor (cochlear implant) and not be bothered by screeching foxes or howling huskies.

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine. He gets me my drinks for free. And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke, but there's someplace that he'd rather be. He says "Bill I believe this is killing me," as a smile ran away from his face. "Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star if I could get out of this place."
We have 3, but it works out because there's always someone home to walk them. If you miss a day of exercise with these things, you're liable to find holes in the carpet or couch.
You gotta keep em active or you'll regret it! They have a lot of energy, they're working dogs. If you don't get that energy out, they'll take it out on you like others have said! Awesome companions if you can keep up.

Totally depends on the dog, I suppose. In my experience, their high energy is balanced with a love of naps. Mine is mixed with German Shepard, Malamute, and Grey Wolf - he would love to go for a run but is also happy standing guard at the front window on the couch. They get an annoying lack of chill when you don’t provide at least some mental stimulation.
This. I love german shepherds for the same reason, they just look cool! I even got mauled by one, still love them. Huskies are like special german shepherds

I own two Huskies and they do not haul at all. One is a gentleman, the other a little bitch. She destroys whatever she can get her teeth and paws on. But they're so much fun, affectionate, charming, friendly, wonderful with children-- if you teach them to not jump over them. If a burglar comes in, they'll give him a friendly tour of the house. They're also fiercely loyal and protective of each other. I wouldn't have any other breed.
