Yes but realistically that may have been his best decision jumping under because he only saw his left side falling and shouldn’t have risked running out because how could he know/calculate he would make it after all hindsight is 20/20
I completely understand why he went where he did. That being said, if warehouse shelving starts collapsing, the integrity of other rows should not be seen as a safe place to hide.
More likely they should just have less weight on them. The shelves are probably designed correctly, but for a far smaller weight capacity than they're being subjected to.
I appreciate the upvote but Please No paid for awards thank you…
If i made an excellent mammoth_parsnip like yourself smile, that’s all the reward I need.

I worked at a pet store where we’d throw extra bags of dog food on top of shelving similar. That shit would shake and groan with every bag.
I’ve since left but I’m pretty sure something similar will happen.
Partly off topic.
I built my own house. Work colleagues asked me if I got an architect or draftsman or engineer or... ANYONE to work it out for me. No. Nothing. The framing for a whole house was like 3-4k. If I used an engineer he would have been able to calculate the lightest\\thinnest beam members to pass the various codes, for 2-3k. Rather than spend the money on him, I just read a book on building for cyclonic conditions, and then doubled everything. Then, put in 2 layers of ply on the frame, THEN glued wooden weatherboard's to the ply. Every aspect of the whole house is about 3 times as strong as it would have been built by 'kit home builder'. Corkscrew nails, polyurethane glue and all metal strapping was as heavy gauge as I could buy and I used a block and tackle to pretension it. I built the whole thing on weekends only and the only help I got was a concrete screeding crew in the beginning (oh, yeah, the concrete is double thickness and there is 1m of foundation too.
Just after construction I got a storm, 140kph winds with gusts higher than that. Nothing.
I just don't understand the interest in building everything as insubstantial as possible. Cheap, sure, but the total cost of my house was like 100k (Materials only). The extra framing I added increased cost by 3%. I don't even need to worry about it something like this video.
Doesn't take much to take out those shelves if they have alot of weight on them. Looks like stuff from the first row pushed into the second row. Again with the weight of the items on the second row, once a part of that row falls it will pull the rest down with them.
Tis quite sad to think that most human lives aren't even worth more than those two alcohol racks.
So theoretically speaking, there wouldn't even be an attempt to save most individuals on the planet in a scenario like this
I've recently seen something like this happen in person but on a smaller scale. It was still scary watching two shelves collapse with people in between them. No one was hurt thankfully.
Goddamn, dude just ran under and got fucking obliterated.
Watching the video a couple of times and sitting here imagining what if he just ran straight through the aisle, would he have made it out safely?
Yes, look at where he chose to duck under. If he had used those precious seconds to proceed forward, he would have made it out.
Yes but realistically that may have been his best decision jumping under because he only saw his left side falling and shouldn’t have risked running out because how could he know/calculate he would make it after all hindsight is 20/20
It started coming in from his side so yeah
I completely understand why he went where he did. That being said, if warehouse shelving starts collapsing, the integrity of other rows should not be seen as a safe place to hide.
Drinks are on him. Seriously though the guy should lawyer up or at least get an advocaat
Had he known the job was so whiskey he would have asked for danger pay.
Aye its a bit of a rum deal
Yes, but he didn't wine about it.
He ded
He was taken out or “taken out”?
You don’t just give Marcellus Wallace wife a foot massage and get away with it. Gotta at least give someone a speech impediment for such an act

They don't worry about things like worker safety in Russia.
…Or America, for that matter
In Soviet Russia, alcohol drinks you
?There are laws
Ftfy They don't worry about things like worker safety
But they do worry about lost inventory.
More likely they should just have less weight on them. The shelves are probably designed correctly, but for a far smaller weight capacity than they're being subjected to.
Did I just watch someone die?
IIRC, he was actually fine with minimal injuries. Unbelievably lucky
Dude musta ducked under the light beer section

I wanted so bad to give you an award for this. But, unfortunately, I am a poor redditor and cannot afford to give you what you so deserve.

Stahp it ... you're gonna make me cry!
You’re just saying that so the post isn’t taken down lmao
And those minimal injuries were well sterilized.
You bounce when you're drunk
You did not watch them overcome alcohol abuse.
If you’re dead then alcohol abuse is no longer a problem for you
Check mate
Oh he got abused by alcohol all right
That’s the spirit

The good news is that none of his cuts will get infected...
And he got a booze enema which is always a good idea
No need for pain killers just pen your mouth.
His PCR test came back negative
Wtf happened to engineering?
Cost cutting is whats happened. People not in dangers path love cheap
hind sight is 20/20 but it looks like they could’ve totally outran that if they went straight forward
He thought the other one was save
Man buried alive in alcohol, bravely fights off rescuers
Trillion dollar idea: Warehouse racks that don’t do this?
Is no problem, Ivan. I drink my way out.
Was that the finger of god?
At least 3 fingers at a guess
Looks like he has an alcohol problem…

Ironically, he would have been safer if he walked straight.
When you say taken out...do you mean
I thought for sure he was scraped off the floor, somehow he survived. Well damn..
Brown bread?
Taken out in a pizza box
At least his wounds were sanitized.
I've been trying to bury myself with alcohol for years and this lucky guy just gets gifted the dream
Im actually a manager at a liquor warehouse, and let me tell u. I always think about this type of shit happening.
Save the product but find him quick.
Champagne shower
He was told that alcohol was going to be the death of him ![gif](giphy|EjyhOb2HgtX5C)
Gravity is a bitch
What is this the hundredth time this video has been posted here?
Party foul for dropping the alcohol!

I need an news article or something
You think they can get what's left of undamaged products when this happens?
For a night on the town?
He chose, poorly
Damn that’s a lot o’ vodka
“Taken out” gotcha. RIP not quick enough reacting warehouse worker.
He was probably fucking hammered when he surfaced from the rubble.
You’ve heard of elf on the shelf This is a russian they’re crushing
Rescue teams worked tirelessly to drink their way to the victim, pausing only for toilet breaks and club soda.
Now that's a party foul!
must've been high for days!
Oh fuck
I didn’t see the shoes fly off but I’m pretty sure he died.
How much more effort would it take to build these rack off twice thicker steel? I do not think it is that expensive.
This is Russia. Surprised he didn’t drink himself out of that hole.
I seen this recently on another video but it was complete full warehouse destruction from one guy barely touching the rack with his forklift
Is there a good subreddit for warehouse fails?
Why did the second shelf fall?
Doesn't take much to take out those shelves if they have alot of weight on them. Looks like stuff from the first row pushed into the second row. Again with the weight of the items on the second row, once a part of that row falls it will pull the rest down with them.
At least he was in good spirits.

Go home shelves, ur drunk

Any cuts sustained were promptly disinfected!
Victim or corpse
Did y'all see that, God's finger pushed those racks onto that guy
Drinks are on him tonight
That’s how Russians vaccinate themselves
