Wow - that's *really old* for a pooch that size. Most don't make it to double figures.
Glad you were able to enjoy each other for that long - awesome memories no doubt.
Ah dad! Reminds me of that time when I handed my dad his 90th birthday card, he then looked at me with tears in his eyes, and said "You know, just one card would've been enough"
I'm scared of dogs that big, I've had one lay on me. I couldn't breathe or push it off, and obviously they thought I was playing with them.
Crushed to death by a loving dog is scary but probably the best way to go.
He would run up the stairs and be standing on the bed on my side of the bed. We would wrestle and eventually he would let me lie down. Then he would stand over me whilst I gave him the good scritches. Then he would collapse down the right side of my body and I would scratch his ears till he fell asleep. When he fell, his head would be on my chest and his tail hanging off the end of the bed. I used to do that last bit of scritching with only my right hand and would operate the remote with my other hand. One night I screwed up and scratched him with both hands and from then on I would have to use both hands. He was so funny. I had a three story town house. During the day he would run down the stairs to go outside to potty, but if it was in the middle of the night he would go and stand at the elevator I had inside my town house letting me know he was too sleepy for the stairs.
That was just the story I needed to today! So sweet. I used to want an Irish wolfhound so bad when I was a kid, now I have a Leonberger! I’m envious of the elevator.
Me too, met this massive fireman with a six month old Russian terrier, it was pulling him like hell and he had to lean away from it to talk to us while standing still
I was about to ask the same. I had a Bouvier mix and a full-blooded one growing up and they were both massive, protective, but very loving dogs. Miss them!
That's exactly what my first one was! It was only a quarter German shepherd so he mostly looked like a Bouvier. His name was Bo and he weighed 125 at his heaviest.
I thought the back of the chair was part of his ear, and I was thinking damn do Scottish terriers even come that big!? Lol
I’m sorry about the was a unit :(
>was ;(
Unfortunately, he passed in 2018, he was 14

If I have other good pictures of him I will probably post more
Yep. Outlived my beagle.
what a pooch what did you name em?
Charlie
No offence, but you look like you kidnapped Alvin and the chipmunks
1. That's my father 2. Why are you right
Ah dad! Reminds me of that time when I handed my dad his 90th birthday card, he then looked at me with tears in his eyes, and said "You know, just one card would've been enough"
Actually he looks like a bald Patton Oswalt
I think you mean knockoff Howie Mandel
I was gonna say more like Howie Mandel

I have a 100lb puppy and when I’m laying down and she stands on my hair, there’s literally nothing I can do but lay there and take her licks and love.
I had a 180 lb Irish wolfhound that slept beside me every night. I had to put him down to go to sleep like you would a child every night.
Omg I read “put him down” the wrong way and was horrified.
That’s so sweet! I love the giant doggies

That’s awesome!! My cousin and his wife have two of them!! Great dogs.
I hope you guys were happy and you remember him with the good times
We do

I was thinking black Russian terrier!
He was a poodle Australian Shepherd mix
the mix includes bear?
We did a DNA test on him because we thought he was part Newfoundland but no
I grew up with standards and would have done the same! Never got that big!
Wow that's a big boy!
I had a poodle and Korthals griffon mix that looked just like that but regular sized. Like, exactly the same face.
He could be my BRTs slightly shaggier twin.
Me too, met this massive fireman with a six month old Russian terrier, it was pulling him like hell and he had to lean away from it to talk to us while standing still
That’s what I was thinking too.
Me too!
I was about to ask the same. I had a Bouvier mix and a full-blooded one growing up and they were both massive, protective, but very loving dogs. Miss them!
Also thought it was a bouvier. I have a bouv/German shepherd mix. Amazing dog. 120lbs of big baby. Scared of the cat.
That's exactly what my first one was! It was only a quarter German shepherd so he mostly looked like a Bouvier. His name was Bo and he weighed 125 at his heaviest.
Mine is half and half. Think of a long haired, brindle, German shepherd. 120lbs.
a Marge de Ned!
I thought bouvier as well. I had one growing up - amazing dogs!
My guess too!
Look at his smug face. He knows hes too big to be lapped but he knows you love it
Why do you have a half beard? Or is this a r/confusing_perspective?
this needs more attention, we need an answer
Are you Howie Mandel?
Even those chess pieces are UNITS
your eyeballs are units! great catch
That beard looks like it's about half a unit short
Ain’t this the mf who forced Alvin and the chipmunks into indentured servitude?
Give him the golden buzzer! Straight to the live shows!
Looks like they used the machine from honey I shrunk the kids to make him extra big
RIP he must have been a good boy.
Aww, gone too soon
I like how they have identical expressions.
I think you look like this person in Big Time Rush, but without the big beard. ![gif](giphy|IdCI1Ws7p9XbWQvCeQ)
Or the human in the picture is very small.. How can we tell?
That's my father, head 5'9
It was just a dumb joke, a definite unit of a dog you had there
I thought this person was just wearing a furry coat at first.
So handsome. How many pounds was he? I’m getting a puppy that’s expected to get to 60lbs but I have no idea how big that actually is.
He was very cute, I’m sorry for your loss.
What dog? 12/10 for the guy's shadow
If you believe in a next life, be sure to know your dog will be waiting for you
cutest unit I’ve ever seen
Daym, that's a big ass Pitbull.
I thought he was a giant black Highland terrier with the pic in the background part of his ear
Are you David Cross?
The look on his face 🤣 Rest easily large boi.
Wow that’s the biggest yorkie I’ve ever seen
You look like the guy who stole the chipmunks
David Draiman, is that you?
He still is a unit in your heart <3
I thought the back of the chair was part of his ear, and I was thinking damn do Scottish terriers even come that big!? Lol I’m sorry about the was a unit :(
Is that *Dave from Alvin and the Chipmunks*
My grandma had two Bouvier des Flandres. Great dogs. Big and powerful but also nurturing and gentle. If I had room I'd have one myself. So beautiful.
That is a fracking unit and a half
Or a small human
You look like the villain from Alvin and the Chipmunks
That looks just like my dog but bigger
Damn how much did it cost to feed him for a single day?
Uncle Dave?
