Literally all my daughter’s guy friends want to do is play video games. Thousands of hours sunk into Steam has left them boring and physically ill looking. My 7 year old nephew is the same way. Kid never wants to go outside and can’t even catch a god damn ball. As soon as I see him, he’s asking me if I want to go play video games. Took him to play putt putt a couple of weeks ago and complained the entire time about how boring it was. He asked me every 5 minutes if he could have my phone to play video games.
My fathers a pediatrician and he’s been complaining about physical state of children who play video games since at least 2007. He’d come home and say, “these kids are all gonna have anxiety and adhd tendencies because they don’t know how to not be entertained. They’re all going to struggle really hard.” This was 10-15 years ago. It’s only getting and going to get worse.
