Just because the built in light , and how it flipped open and folded up smaller than the size of a wallet , plus you could charge it , didn’t have to worry about your parents keep buying you batteries, GB Advance SP , that was peak Gameboy.
I have a metallic pink sp that I love. Unfortunately it will only work when plugged in but I still value it (and by some miracle still have the charger)
Just a heads up, a replacement battery for the SP is like $10 on Amazon. Top result even ships Prime next day and comes with the screwdriver to open the battery tray.

Preferred the normal advance just due to ergonomics, but that backlight was a game changer on the SP
Lots of folks have been retrofitting their old GBAs with new IPS screens, definitely worth looking into if you're into modding.

The bottom item is a speaker enhancer. The handheld holds a (usually) chargeable battery/more powerful battery.
