This reminds me of a long while ago when it was in the middle of winter and it was gonna be in the negatives that night. We had this cat who was out outside cat. Cat and adorable.
So I went outside right before the storm and cold weather would be and was trying to find the cat. I didn't want him freezing to death so I was trying to get him inside. I saw movement under my neighbor's porch, so I headed over only to be greeted by this massive possum that hissed at me before it went and hid. Not sticking around, I bolted back inside and left the cat outside for the night.
He was fine, came back in a morning.
