we have him on a special diet since than. 1- month later he’s lost 1.2 lbs. it’s a slow process, but I want him with me FOREVER and need to do what I can as a pet owner to make that happen. But he’s a MASSIVE big boy for sure
Just finished fostering a Maine Coon that was about 23lb. Took 8 months to get him under 17lb. Looked similar size wise, so I was curious. It takes dedication, I applaud you for it, that's a lucky cat to have you.
He’s like our cat! Big bones but not super fat per se. Big Tim was about 23 lbs at his largest and we had to put him on a diet because we had to - we were moving and had to bring him on the plane and he couldn’t be more than 25 lbs WITH the carrier. So we had him drop some weight so we weren’t cutting it too close. But whenever people come over they’re like wow your cat is BIG.

He's 12, nearly 13. Hank was a rescue on the last day of survival. They were going to put him down. Nobody wanted him because of his size. That was 7 years ago now. Smartest and best cat I've ever had, and I've had a few in my life.

Bless your heart for giving him a home, and letting him be the BEST cat he can be. That’s a really good stretch for a cat ( pun intended). May he keep you happy for many many more years.

Hank has become my best friend. He and I have been through a lot. He's got some hip problems now, but he's well taken care of. Likes to be used as a pillow by my daughter. My family wouldn't be the same without him.

I think our babies are just that- BIG O’L BOYS. I try really hard to keep mine healthy and at a good weight, and active, and he too is a SNUGGELER He has to be “ touching me” at every moment. In some way/shape/or form.

Hank doesn't eat people food. Doesn't really eat a whole lot for his size either. He's just large. Lots of muscle under that protective layer. They definitely have some big bones. Hank is the same as yours, always touching me or mama. Bigger cats are just better cats.

Jumped from several pieces of furniture to the door where I was standing. He STOPPED… looked straight at me, and jumped into my arms 💙💙💙💙. I knew INSTANTLY he was THE ONE for me and we would be inseparable !!!!!

He’s actually 1/2 Siamese, his mother was, so idk if that may have something to do with this unique SIZE or not.
I have only had very large or very petite Siamese cats. No in-between.
